We derive priority decision making on healthcare service technology standardization in the home network through the decision support process with industry professionals. We configured a research group with 4 industrial areas including Industry, Academic, Research Institution and Medical Institution. And we also applied AHP methodology for the priority decision making. The research group decides an evaluation criteria which are consisted of marketability, technology, ripple effect, strategy for national policies in order to make a priority for healthcare service on a home network. And it is also decided 7 fields and 24 sub-fields, technically. In order to make a priority for the standardization, we use an AHP methodology, that is more objective and feasible, as a decision tool. After two-phase survey that consists of paper survey and face to face meeting, we get a conclusion that home healthcare content is at the top and then wireless home network follows it.
Recovery techniques for Main-Memory database system
Youngmi Yoon,Ungu Kang 한국정보기술학회 2005 한국정보기술학회논문지 Vol.3 No.5
In a Main Memory Database (MMDB) system, the primary copy of the database resides in volatile main memory as opposed to Disk Resident Database (DRDB) systems where the database is on disk. The perception of where the data resides is important. With an MMDB the DBMS software is designed assuming that the data is memory resident. With a DRDB the DMBS software is designed assuming the data is stored on disk and I/O is required to access the data [1]. MMDB systems need not perform I/O operations for database applications. Thus, they are ideal for applications that require high throughput and a fast response time. With the increasing demand for high-performance systems and the steady decrease in memory cost, MMDBs have become an attractive alternative to DRDBs [2]. This is especially the case for telephone switching applications, mobile computing applications and real-time systems, i.e, applications that require high throughput and fast response time [3]. Commercial 54-bit systems can support main memories of tens of gigabytes. It can be expected that the use of MMDB in an application requiring fast response time will be growing since larger volume of memory resident data allows faster processing of transactions Due to the volatility of main memory, MMDB complicates database recovery issues. Database recovery techniques ensures that any erroneous database state due to transaction, system, or media failure can be repaired and restored into a consistent state from which normal processing can resume. A main memory recovery algorithm, must do much more than the disk based recovery algorithm to guarantee atomicity, durability of transactions and database integrity without sacrificing the performance advantages of MMDB. This problem has been recognized and several techniques for MMDB recovery have been proposed. On this paper we described MMDB model, briefly mentioned various different .recovery techniques, and discussed log-based method and its components in detail. We focused on logging, checkpointing, and reloading.
An Ontology-Based Content Provision System to Advance Child Obesity Management Platforms
Hyunmo Koo,Heon Jeong,Ungu Kang,Byungmun Lee,Youngho Lee 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.11 No.5
The 2014 National Health and Nutrition Survey of Korea reported that child/teenager obesity rates are 11.5% in 6-18 year olds, 5.9% in 6-11 year olds, and 15.5% in 12-18 year olds. Child obesity is a disease caused by changes in social environment structure and may become a chronic disease that leads to adult obesity; thus, prevention and management are becoming increasingly critical. Education and policies for obesity prevention are in place in Korea, but their effects are limited and temporary because no personalized education is provided. Therefore, this study proposes a service using data to set up obesity-related guidelines by using an ontology-based JENA engine to provide content tailored for child obesity. The goal of this study is to aid in obesity prevention and management by providing customized obesity-related content as contextual information for obese children and teenagers through ontology-based guidelines.
