        VvMYBA6 in the promotion of anthocyanin biosynthesis and salt tolerance in transgenic Arabidopsis

        Transcription factor MYB is a critical factor involved in anthocyanin biosynthesis and abiotic stress resistance of plants. This paper reports the functions of codon-optimized transcription factor VvMYBA6 expressed in transgenic Arabidopsis plants. VvMYBA6 overexpression resulted in significant increase of anthocyanin content, which also enhanced salt and mannitol tolerance in transgenic Arabidopsis plants. Besides, real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis showed that overexpression of VvMYBA6 promoted the expression level of genes involved in anthocyanin biosynthesis, abscisic acid (ABA) synthesis, proline synthesis, stress responses and ROS scavenging under salt and mannitol stress. According to further analysis under salt and mannitol stress, overexpression of VvMYBA6 significantly increased ABA and proline content, activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT), as well as reduced the content of H2O2 and malonaldehyde (MDA). The results demonstrated that the overexpression of VvMYBA6 enhanced salt and mannitol tolerance based on increasing synthetic levels of anthocyanin and ABA in transgenic Arabidopsis plants. Therefore, the overexpression of VvMYBA6 could be widely used in promoting salt tolerance in plants.

        Smooth model of blasting seismic wave signal denoising based on two-stage denoising algorithm

        In this paper, a two-stage denoising algorithm is proposed. Complementary ensemble empirical mode decomposition based on permutation entropy (CEEMD-PE) is carried out for the noisy monitoring signal in the first stage. Several denoising models are established according to the intrinsic mode function obtained by CEEMD-PE. An objective function considers both the smoothness of the denoising model and the similarity between the denoising model and the noisy monitoring signal is established, and the second stage denoising is realized by solving the objective function. The denoising model corresponding to the optimal solution of the objective function is the smooth denoising model. In order to verify the correctness of the two-stage denoising algorithm, the mixed simulation signal with noise is denoised, and based on the definition of signal-to-noise ratio, the effect of two-stage denoising is calculated. Finally, the algorithm is applied to the actual blasting seismic signal denoising processing. It is found that the proposed algorithm can not only reduce the noise interference but also retain the real part of the original signal while filtering the noise.

        Effect of Cu2O Content in Electrodeposited CuOx Film on Perovskite Solar Cells

        It is well known that the different proportions of CuO and Cu2O in CuOx hole transfer materials have a great influence on the hole transport property as well as the device performances of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In this paper, we changed the content of Cu2O in the film by controlling the deposition voltage during electrodeposition, and the effects of different contents of Cu2O in the films on the device were investigated for the first time. It was found that the content of Cu2O in the film reached the highest point with the deposition voltage 0.5 V, such films have the highest transmittance and carrier mobility. After assembling the device, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the champion device reached 13.48% under a one-sun AM 1.5G (100 mW/cm2) illumination. Furthermore, the unpackaged device based on CuOx still retained over 75% PCE after being placed in the ambient condition (30–40% humidity, 20–30 ℃) for 500 h.

      • Telomere-Mitochondrion Links Contribute to Induction of Senescence in MCF-7 Cells after Carbon-Ion Irradiation

        The effects of carbon-ion irradiation on cancer cell telomere function have not been comprehensively studied. In our previous report cancer cells with telomere dysfunction were more sensitive to carbon-ion irradiation, but the underlying mechanisms remained unclear. Here we found that telomerase activity was suppressed by carbon-ion irradiation via hTERT down-regulation. Inhibition of telomere activity by MST-312 further increased cancer cell radiosensitivity to carbon-ion radiation. hTERT suppression caused by either carbon-ion irradiation or MST-312 impaired mitochondrial function, as indicated by decreased membrane potential, mtDNA copy number, mitochondrial mass, total ATP levels and elevated reactive oxygen species (ROS). PGC-$1{\alpha}$ expression was repressed after carbion-ion irradiation, and hTERT inhibition by MST-312 could further exacerbate this effect. Lowering the mitochondrial ROS level by MitoTEMPO could partially counteract the induction of cellular senescence induced by carbon-ion radiation and MST-312 incubation. Taken together, the current data suggest that telomere-mitochondrion links play a role in the induction of senescence in MCF-7 cells after carbon-ion irradiation.

        Study on the effect of gait cycle improvement with robot assisted rehabilitation

        The classification based on flat training is proposed with training of exoskeleton lower limb rehabilitation robot and the flatwalking training robot. The method from the system composition, training characteristics, indications, from the subacutephase and chronic phase of rehabilitation training, in the subacute stage, 60 cases were selected, including 33 patients withhemiplegia and 27 normal patients who underwent rehabilitation training, after 6 weeks of robot training for chronichemiplegia, training outcome scores higher than 9 on the Berg balance Scale and shorter course of illness were highlycorrelated with improved walking ability.

        Investigation on properties of autopolymerizing hydragel for denture soft lining material

        Denture soft lining materials have been recognized in prosthodontic clinical practice for many years. They act as enabling uniform distribution of pressure on denture-bearing tissues and reducing discomfort for patients with sharp or severely reabsorbed alveolar ridges and sensitive mucosa. However, the present two main kinds of soft liners still exist some shortcomings respectively, i.e. the plasticized acrylies may become harder and harder as the using time passed ; the silicone clastomers may present the weaker bond strength between the denture base resin and soft liner. Hydrophilic hydrogel is a polymer that can be expanded in water, remained the water molecular in its structure, but unresolved in water. There have been widely used in clinic such as plastic surgery, soft contact lens, ophthalmology, etc., also as a vehicle for the delivery of drugs. In this study, a new compound hydrogel was considered as a soft lining material. The reason for this assuming was that hydroxyl groups existed within its structure produced the hydrophilicity, while the backbone carbon chain ensured chemical and mechanical stability. The aim of this paper is to investigate the properties of a new prepared compound autopolymerizing hydrogel, including water sorption, solubility, bond strength and and biocompatibility.

        <▼1><P>The highly efficient catalytic oxidation and oxidative kinetic resolution of secondary alcohols has been achieved using mononuclear Mn(<SMALL>II</SMALL>) catalysts and H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>.</P></▼1><▼2><P>The highly efficient catalytic oxidation and oxidative kinetic resolution (OKR) of secondary alcohols has been achieved using a synthetic manganese catalyst with low loading and hydrogen peroxide as an environmentally benign oxidant in the presence of a small amount of sulfuric acid as an additive. The product yields were high (up to 93%) for alcohol oxidation and the enantioselectivity was excellent (>90% ee) for the OKR of secondary alcohols. Mechanistic studies revealed that alcohol oxidation occurs <I>via</I> hydrogen atom (H-atom) abstraction from an α-CH bond of the alcohol substrate and a two-electron process by an electrophilic Mn–oxo species. Density functional theory calculations revealed the difference in reaction energy barriers for H-atom abstraction from the α-CH bonds of <I>R</I>- and <I>S</I>-enantiomers by a chiral high-valent manganese–oxo complex, supporting the experimental result from the OKR of secondary alcohols.</P></▼2>

      • Research on Electronic Bidding Evaluation System for Chinese drug Procurement

        Since the reform and opening-up, China has shifted its planed economy to a socialist market economy. It gives a boost to the pharmaceutical enterprises and consequent the force competition. However, differs from some European countries, Chinese drug dispensing doesn’t separate from medical practice. All those lead to serious commercial bribes and high drugs price which the people cannot afford. China has constantly explored the Public Bidding of drug procurement since 2001. The third-party bidding agency integrated the computer science with Chinese-specialized drug bidding and then developed into an Electronic Bidding System. Unfortunately, the system seems to be unavailable to cut the drug price down. There still existed serious commercial bribes during the purchasing. Bidding evaluation is the core step in E-Bidding System, which has a direct impact in the bidding result. This article makes a concrete analysis of the Bidding Evaluation System and points out the main problems, So the author will give us some feasible suggestions to improve the E-Bidding System, such as expanding the expert database; improving the searching method; selecting the experts randomly and automatically; notifying the experts by technological means instead of manual work and establishing blacklist for the experts. Therefore, China’s E-Bidding System will have a better future.

        Bearing fault diagnosis of wind turbines based on dynamic multi-adversarial adaptive network

        Owing to the shortage of available labeled data on wind turbine bearings, a new wind turbine bearing fault diagnosis method based on a dynamic multi-adversarial adaptive network (DMAAN) was proposed. In this new method, a laboratory data were used to obtain fault diagnosis models for wind turbine bearings. The first step was evaluating the interdomain distribution difference and intraclass distribution differences between domains. The second step was setting a dynamic adversarial factor to dynamically measure the relative contribution of the two different distributions. The last step was, reducing the distribution difference through multiple adversarial training, to obtain the diagnosis results. The validity of DMAAN was verified via the transfer experiments of laboratory datasets and wind turbine generator measured datasets. The results showed that DMAAN has a higher diagnostic accuracy and better transmission capability in cross-machine transfer fault diagnosis in compare with the existing methods.

      • AlGaN/GaN Metal-Insulator-Semiconductor (MIS)-HFETs Based DC-DC Boost Converters with Integrated Gate Drivers

        This study proposed a 100 kHz, 5V/11V boost converter with an integrated gate driver for a power switching device using recessed E-mode MIS-HFETs. The integrated gate driver consisting of multi-stages DCFL (Direct-Coupled FET Logic) inverters and a buffer stage, has large input swing (up to 10 V) and wide noise margin with gate dielectric, which benefits applications requiring large gate swing without any additional drivers or level shifters. The impact of transistor size on rise times and fall times have been studied. Either buffer stage or larger width of DCFL inverter can reduce rise times from 2.4 μs to less than 0.5 μs at 100 kHz, so the output voltage of boost converter is increased by 10 % at a duty cycle of 0.7. However, large buffer width can result in high gate overshoot and oscillation, indicating careful design to balance switching speed and oscillation.
