      • Elucidation of photo-induced electron transfer in a loop-forming peptide: Dye-Ala-Gly-Gln-Tyr

        We investigated photo-induced electron transfer (PET) in a dye-labeled peptide, fluorophore-Ala-Gly-Gln-Tyr, employing time-resolved fluorescence. As an effort to develop new functional dyes, we studied an acriflavine derivative for the electron-acceptor in the excited state from tyrosine, an electrondonor in the ground-state. The pH dependence of the fluorescence lifetime of the model peptide indicates that electron transfer between the excited dye and tyrosine occurs when the tyrosine is deprotonated. The proton-coupled electron transfer appears to be sequential rather than concerted. We also report direct time measurements on the end-to-end loop formation processes of the peptide in water.

        Study on Tunnel Oxide Degradation by Metal Pad Etch-Induced Plasma Damage in 0.04 μm Flash Memory Technology

        The distortion of the capacitance-voltage curve and the threshold voltage change caused by tunnel oxide degradation in connection with metal pad etch-induced plasma damage was investigated in 0.04 μm flash memory technology. The metal pad etch, as a final plasma process of IC fabrication contain cumulative plasma process-induced damage (P2ID). However, no metal pad etch-induced plasma damage, such as gate threshold voltage (Vth) change and hot temperature stress, has yet been reported because it is difficult to accurately analyze regardless of the previous processes. Therefore, to clearly analyze the P2ID on a metal pad, test element group (TEG) module to measure the interface traps (Nit) with a charge-pumping method and a simple-plasma-damage-monitor (SPDM) created to replace CHARM2. Consequently, we showed that the P2ID was correlated with the position of the chips or the etch rate uniformity map as a result of the plasma non-uniformity in each plasma etcher and the plasma condition.         서울시 공공 자전거 사업의 관리 및 운영에 관한 연구 : 키오스크 광고를 통한 수익 확보를 중심으로

        오늘날 현대인들의 삶은 과학기술의 발달과 산업화로 인하여 풍요로워졌으나 이로 인해 세계적인 환경문제와 에너지원의 고갈과 유가상승으로 인하여 경제적 손실이 발생하고 있다. 최근 이러한 문제들에 대한 관심이 고조되면서 녹색성장이 중요한 화두로 대두되고 있다. 정부의 녹색 뉴딜 사업 발표와 함께 녹색생활의 실천으로 교통편의 증진과 에너지 절약 탄소배출 감소를 위한 친환경 교통수단인 자전거활용이 이슈화되고 있으며 범정부적인 차원에서 자전거이용 활성화를 위한 노력과 정책들이 시행되고 있다. 이에 발맞추어 서울시는 10월 31일 여의도와 상암동을 중심으로 공공자전거 시스템의 시범 운영을 시작하였으며 이를 자치구와 협의하여 확대 시행할 계획이다. 본 연구에서는 시행 초기단계에 있는 서울시 공공자전거사업의 번영에 도움이 될 만한 해외 및 국내 성공사례로 프랑스의'벨리브(Velib)'와 영국의'공공자전거(Barclays cycle hire)' 스페인의'바이싱(Bicing)' 창원시의'누비자'를 살펴보고 앞으로 직면하게 될 문제점을 파악하고 문제점으로 떠오를 관리 및 유지·보수비용을 위한 키오스크에 광고 매체를 접목시키는 것을 통한 수익 창출 방안을 제시하였다. 각 키오스크를 광고 매개체로 이용할 경우 광고계약을 통해 창출될 수익금과 그 수익을 통한 관리 및 유지보수 시스템을 모의함으로써 현재 시행되고 있는 서울시 공공자전거사업에 비용 확보의 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구가 제시한 방안을 통해 공공자전거의 빠른 정착과 더불어 자전거이용의 활성화를 통하여 서울이 지속가능한 녹색도시로 거듭나는데 도움이 되길 바란다. The development of science technology and the industrialization have led people today to enriching lives. However this caused the global environmental problems and exhausted the energy sources evenbrought about the economic loss as well. Recently these problems are highly focused therefore the green growth is being a very essential social keyword. Under the green new deal business initiatives driven by the government making the best use of bicycles as the eco-friendly transportation draws a very high attention as one of the ways to actually practice the green life which leads to the improvement of transportation convenience energy saving and carbon emission reduction. To keep up with this Seoul City started to run the Public Bicycle System at Yoido and Sangam-Dong. This study looks into the global and local successful references –'Velib' in France,'Barclays cycle hire' in UK,'Bicing' in Spain and "Nubija' in Changwon City that are quite useful to develop Seoul City's Public Bicycle Business. Then it checks the upcoming problems such as the management and maintenance costs and presents how to make profits through leveraging the advertising media to kiosks for those costs. This study also suggests how to obtain the budgets for Seoul City's Public Bicycle Business currently being in operation by simulating the management and maintenance system for the profits that can be generated through the advertising when each kiosk is used as the advertising media. I hope this study could help Seoul to keep growing further as world-leading green city through the rapid setup of public bicycle system and the spread of bicycle usage based on what are suggested herein.

      • 일본의 지방소멸과 농촌 지역의 교육적 대응

        The purpose of this study was to examine the actual situation and measures of rural education in Japan, where the declining birthrate and aging population and population decline have advanced ahead of Korea. The population decline is more pronounced in rural areas, with the number of children under 14 decreasing in all regions except Tokyo. In response to this tendency, Japan is promoting educational programs(projects) that match the conditions and characteristics of the local community while attempting to consolidate schools, thereby enhancing the educational capacity of the region. Since schools in rural areas are important base facilities that support the local community, educational authorities are making efforts for the survival of the school and the revitalization of the community through cooperation with the local community. In addition, through public-private cooperation such as “Local education for local people” in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture and “High school attractiveness project” in Ama Town, Shimane Prefecture, they are proactively responding to the problems of regional existence due to population decline. In other words, it has great implications that it seeks to overcome the crisis of population decline through the formation of Maeul Education Community based on an area (Maeul) that is the basis of living. 이 글은 저출산·고령화 및 인구감소가 한국보다 먼저 진행되어온 일본의 농촌교육 실태와 그에 대한 대응책을 검토한 것이다. 인구감소는 농촌 지역일수록 두드러지게 나타나며, 14세 이하 아동 수는 도쿄 이외의 모든 지역에서 모두 감소하고 있다. 이러한 추세에 대해 일본은 학교의 통폐합을 시도하면서도 지역사회의 여건과 특색에 맞는 교육 프로그램(사업)을 추진하여 지역의 교육력을 높이고 있다. 농촌지역에서 학교는 지역사회를 지탱하는 주요한 거점시설로서 교육당국은 지역사회와 연계하며 학교의 존속과 함께 지역재생을 위해 노력하고 있다. 또한 나가노현 이이다시의 ‘지역인교육’이나 시마네현 아마쵸의 ‘고교매력화프로젝트’ 등과 같이 민관협력을 통해 지역의 교육력을 이끌어 냄으로써 인구 감소가 초래하는 지역의 존립 문제에 적극적으로 대응하고 있다. 즉 생활기반인 지역(마을)을 거점으로 한 마을교육공동체의 구축을 통해 인구감소의 위기 극복을 모색하고 있는 점은 시사하는 바가 크다.

      • Rational Design of Inflammation-Responsive Inflatable Nanogels for Ultrasound Molecular Imaging

        <P>Microbubbles are clinically used as an imaging agent for contrast-enhanced ultrasound image. Beyond the preformed microbubbles, nanoscale gas-generating chemical systems that are capable of stimulus-responsive inflation to microbubbles have recently been employed as a new echogenic strategy for ultrasound molecular imaging. Here, we report a peroxamide-based ultrasound contrast agent as a H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>-responsive gas (CO<SUB>2</SUB>)-generating system for diagnostic ultrasound imaging of inflammatory diseases. A hydrolytic degradation-resistant peroxamide nanogel was constructed by nanoscopic cross-linking of polymeric aliphatic amines (branched polyethyleneimine) with oxalyl chloride, which intrinsically offers highly concentrated peroxamides as a reactive cross-linking point for H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>-responsive CO<SUB>2</SUB>-generation by the peroxalate chemiluminescence reaction that is intrinsically catalyzed by the polyamine-derived intraparticle basic environment. It was experimentally revealed that the interior of the peroxamide-concentrated nanogel colloid serves as an optimal nanoscale catalytic reactor for the H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>-responsive gas generation as well as a gas reservoir capable of nano-to-micro inflation. We demonstrate that the peroxamide-concentrated nanogels are indeed capable of enhancing the ultrasound contrast in response to H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>, which allows us to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging of H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>-overproducing inflammatory diseases in mouse models. Along with the biocompatibility of the peroxamide nanogels revealed by the animal toxicity study, our design strategy for the inflatable nanoparticles would contribute to the advancement of activatable contrast agents for ultrasound molecular imaging.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
