This study is intended to examine the motor skill learning and treadmill exercise on motor performance and synaptic plasticity in the cerebellar injured rats by harmaline. Experiment groups were divided into four groups and assigned 15 rats to each group. GroupⅠ was a normal control group(induced by saline); GroupⅡ was a experimental control group(cerebellar injured by harmaline); GroupⅢ was a group of motor skill learning after cerebellar injured by harmaline; GroupⅣ was a group of treadmill exercise after cerebellar injured by harmaline. In motor performance test, the outcome of groupⅡ was significantly lower than the groupⅢ, Ⅳ(especially groupⅢ)(p<.001). In histological finding, the experimental groups were destroy of dendrities and nucleus of cerebellar neurons. GroupⅢ, Ⅳ were decreased in degeneration of cerebellar neurons(especially groupⅢ). In immunohistochemistric response of synaptophysin in cerebellar cortex, experimental groups were decreased than groupⅠ. GroupⅢ's expression of synaptophysin was more increased than groupⅡ, Ⅳ. In electron microscopy finding, the experimental groups were degenerated of Purkinje cell. These result suggest that improved motor performance by motor skill learning after harmaline induced is associated with dynamically altered expression of synaptophysin in cerebellar cortex and that is related with synaptic plasticity.

The analysis of propellant feeding sub-system is performed using a commercial code SINDA/FLUINT, the comprehensive finite-difference, one-dimensional, lumped parameter tool. With the code, cryogenic helium supply system, liquid oxygen supply system, helium injection cooling system are evaluated. The code gave satisfactory estimation scheme for propulsion system characterized by cryogenic temperature and high pressure, two phase flow. This paper focuses on presenting calculation scheme of propulsion sub-system using one-dimensional code like SINDA/FLUINT.
A report of 31 unrecorded bacterial species belonging to the class Alphaproteobacteria in Korea

During a comprehensive investigation of indigenous prokaryotic species in Korea, a total 31 bacterial strains assigned to the class Alphaproteobacteria were isolated from diverse environmental habitats including freshwater, seawater, brackish water, ginseng soil, plant roots, natural caves, and tidal flats. Based on their high 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities(>99.1%) and formation of robust phylogenetic clades with the closest type species, each strain was assigned to an independent and predefined bacterial species. Because there were no published or official reports regarding the isolation of these 31 species in Korea, this study identified three species in two genera in the order Caulobacterales, 12 species in 10 genera in the order Rhodobacterales, three species in two genera in the order Rhizobiales, two species in two genera in the order Rhodospirillales and 11 species in seven genera, all in the order Sphingomonadaceae within the Alphaproteobacteria are reported as new alphaproteobacterial species in Korea. Gram reaction, colony and cell morphology, basic biochemical characteristics, isolation source, and strain IDs are described in the species description section.
수중운동과 지상운동이 비만 여대생의 혈중지질 및 건강관련체력에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to see the effects of aquatic exercise and land exercise on blood lipids and health-related physical fitness in obese young women. To achieve that goal, 18 university students(healthy 20`s females) were randomly divided into three groups; as Group Ⅰ (control, n=6), Group Ⅱ(land exercise, n=6) and Group Ⅲ(aquatic exercise, n=6). This exercise was to walk 2.5 kilometers 5 times a week for 10 weeks in water and on ground. The changes in blood lipid levels(TC, TG, HDL-C, HDL-C) and health-related physical fitness(muscle strength, muscle endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, body composition and flexibility) were measured 3 times (before exercise program started, after 5 weeks and after 10 weeks). The results of this study were as follows; In changes of blood lipids, Group Ⅱ, Ⅲ were significantly different on body fat and TC after 10 weeks(p<.05). And Group Ⅲ were significantly different on HDL-C and LDL-C after 10 weeks(p<.05). But TG were no significantly difference. In changes of health-related physical fitness, Group Ⅱ, Ⅲ were significantly different on cardiorespiratory endurance and flexibility after 10 weeks(p<.05). But muscle endurance and strength were no significantly difference. The above results suggest that 10 week`s exercise, especially aquatic exercise, have the capable to improve blood lipid level and health-related physical fitness.
신체계측치 및 혈관탄성도에 따른 최대산소섭취량에 관한 연구

본 연구는 40~50대 중년 남녀를 대상으로 신체계측을 통해 얻어진 신체계측치 및 혈관탄성도와 최대산소섭 취량의 관련성을 규명하기 위하여 일개 군 보건소 운동처방실을 방문한 남자 43명, 여자 53명을 대상으로 신체계측치 및 혈관탄성도, 최대산소섭취량 등을 측정하였다. 결과를 보면 1.남자의 신체계측치와 혈관탄성도의 상관관계에서는 비만도가, 여자에서는 허리-엉덩이비율이 유의한 상관관계를 보였다.2.남자의 신체계측치와 최대산소섭취량의 상관관 계에서는 비만도, 체질량지수, 허리-엉덩이비율, 체지방율이 유의한 상관관계를 보였으며, 여자에서는 허리-엉덩이 비 율, 체지방율이 유의한 상관 관계를 보였다. 3.남자의 혈관탄성도 및 심혈관계지표와 최대산소섭취량의 상관관계에서 는 최대심박수가 유의한 상관관계를 보였고, 여자에서는 혈관탄성도, 최대심박수가 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 4.최대 산소섭취량을 종속변수로 한 다중회귀분석에서는 남녀 모두 체지방율, 혈관탄성도, 최대심박수가 유의한 변수로 나타 났다. 즉 체지방율이 낮을수록, 혈관탄성도가 높을수록, 최대심박수가 높을수록 최대산소섭취량이 높았다. 따라서 40~50대 중년의 최대산소섭취량에 영향을 주는 요인에는 신체계측에 의한 비만관련지수, 혈관탄성도, 심혈관계지표 등 여러 요인들이 복합적으로 관련되는 것으로 판단되어진다. This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between maximum oxygen uptake and its related factors including body measurement and vascular compliance. The subjects of our study were 43 males and 53 females aged 40 to 59 who were visited in military health center. The main results were that 1.the degree of obesity had significantly negative correlation to vascular compliance in male, and waist-hip ratio in female. 2.The degree of obesity, body mass index, waist-hip ratio and body fat percent had significantly negative correlation to maximum oxygen uptake in male, and waist-hip ratio & body fat percent in female. 3. Maximum heart rate had significantly positive correlation to maximum oxygen uptake in male , and vascular compliance & maximum heart rate in female. 4.In multiple regression analysis which maximum oxygen uptake was as dependent variable, body fat percent, vascular compliance and maximum heart rate were significant variables for both male and female. In conclusion, Maximum oxygen uptake of some rural people age 40 to 59 were affected by various factors such as body fat percent, vascular compliance, and maximum heart rate.
