Effect of Temperature and Solvents on Enzymatic Synthesis of Naringin Oleate
Kyeonga KIM,Jonghwa LEE,Seungmee LEE,Jemin SON,Suhwan JI,Chulhwan PARK 한국생물공학회 2021 한국생물공학회 학술대회 Vol.2021 No.10
Naringin included in citrus fruits is a flavonoid. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. However, the low solubility and stability in lipophilic systems limit commercial applications. To overcome this problem, esterification can be employed. In this study, naringin oleate was synthesized through esterification using naringin and oleic acid. The optimal synthetic conditions were derived by manipulating the immobilized enzyme type, enzyme concentration, ㏖ar ratio (naringin:oleic acid), reaction temperature and solvents. Finally, over 90% conversion was obtained under optimal synthetic. Naringin oleate, a high value-added material, has higher solubility and stability in lipophilic systems than the original naringin and obtains higher physiological efficacy. Furthermore, the commercial potential of the process is expected through achieving a relatively short reaction time with high conversion.

Cyclooxgenase-2 (COX-2) knock-out mouse experiments showed that COX-2 was necessary for in vivo allergic inflammation, such as passive cutaneous anaphylaxis, passive systemic anaphylaxis, and triphasic cutaneous allergic reaction. TargetScan analysis predicted COX-2 as a target of miR-26a and miR-26b. miR-26a/-26b decreased luciferase activity associated with COX-2–3′-UTR. miR-26a/-26b exerted negative effects on the features of in vitro and in vivo allergic inflammation by targeting COX-2. ChIP assays showed the binding of HDAC3 and SNAIL, but not COX-2, to the promoter sequences of miR-26a and miR-26b. Cytokine array analysis showed that the induction of chemokines, such as MIP-2, in the mouse passive systemic anaphylaxis model occurred in a COX-2-dependent manner. ChIP assays showed the binding of HDAC3 and COX-2 to the promoter sequences of MIP-2. In vitro and in vivo allergic inflammation was accompanied by the increased expression of MIP-2. miR-26a/-26b negatively regulated the expression of MIP-2. Allergic inflammation enhanced the tumorigenic and metastatic potential of cancer cells and induced positive feedback involving cancer cells and stromal cells, such as mast cells, macrophages, and endothelial cells. miR-26a mimic and miR-26b mimic negatively regulated the positive feedback between cancer cells and stromal cells and the positive feedback among stromal cells. miR-26a/-26b negatively regulated the enhanced tumorigenic potential by allergic inflammation. COX-2 was necessary for the enhanced metastatic potential of cancer cells by allergic inflammation. Taken together, our results indicate that the miR26a/-26b-COX-2-MIP-2 loop regulates allergic inflammation and the feedback relationship between allergic inflammation and the enhanced tumorigenic and metastatic potential.

Pathogenic Characteristics and Antibiotic Resistance of Bacterial Isolates from Farmstead Cheeses
Kyeonga Jang,Jeeyeon Lee,Heeyoung Lee,Sejeong Kim,Jimyeong Ha,Yukyung Choi,Hyemin Oh,Yohan Yoon,Soomin Lee 한국축산식품학회 2018 한국축산식품학회지 Vol.38 No.1
The objective of this study was to investigate the pathogenicity and antimicrobial resistance of foodborne pathogens isolated from farmstead cheeses. Twenty-seven isolates, including 18 Bacillus cereus, two Escherichia coli, and seven Staphylococcus aureus, were subjected to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to detect virulence genes and toxin genes, and the antibiotic resistances of the isolates were determined. All E. coli isolates were determined by PCR to be non-pathogenic. Among the 18 B. cereus isolates, 17 isolates (94.4%) were diarrheal type, as indicated by the presence of nheA, entFM, hbIC, cytK and bceT genes, and one isolate (5.6%) was emetic type, based on the presence of the CER gene. Among the seven S. aureus isolates, three (42.9%) had the mecA gene, which is related to methicillin-resistance. Most B. cereus isolates (94.7%) showed antibiotic resistance to oxacillin and penicillin G, and some strains also showed resistance to ampicillin (26.3%), erythromycin (5.3%), tetracycline (10.5%), and vancomycin (5.3%). These results indicate that microbial food safety measures for farmstead cheese must be implemented in Korea because antibiotic resistant foodborne pathogens, with resistance even to vancomycin, harboring virulence genes were found to be present in the final products of farmstead cheese.

Cooperative Fishing Boat Robots Model for Extreme Worker
Seunghan Sin,Kyeongae Yang,Jaeheon Kim,Seungjung Shin 한국인터넷방송통신학회 2018 International Journal of Internet, Broadcasting an Vol.10 No.2
According to the Korea Robotics Industry Association, the number of robots companies, sales and production are steadily increasing until 2016, and the global robot market outlook is expected to continue to increase until 2025. We need to develop more attention to robots that can make life easier for us and can replace human tasks that we cannot do. It is predicted that robots will be more developed in the future with the above statistics, and future robots will be more activated by robots that can depend on each other, fix each other, and adapt to the changing environment without humans. Therefore, the shape of the robots in the future will be developed as a group robot(swarmbot) that cooperate with each other while the robot works. These robots have been studied for a longtime, but there are only two community robots that are applied in real life, only two of which are jailbreaking robots made in KAIST and KIVA robots made in Amazon company. In the future, as these robots develop more and more, and environment where robots can live without human intervention is created, so that a plurality of robots can collaborate and do individual work.
