Security Vulnerability of ID-Based Key Sharing Schemes

<P>Recently, several ID-based key sharing schemes have been proposed, where an initiation phase generates users' secret key associated with identities under the hardness of integer factorization. In this letter, we show that, unfortunately any key sharing scheme with this initiation phase is intrinsically insecure in the sense that the collusion of some users enables them to derive master private keys and hence, generating any user's secret key.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Titanium dioxide is an important metal-oxide semiconductor for photocatalytic applications owing to its unique properties, such as photostability, abundance, low cost, and nontoxicity. However, the photocatalytic activity of TiO<SUB>2</SUB> is limited due to its absorption only in the ultraviolet (UV) region of incident light. In this study, we synthesized iodine-doped TiO<SUB>2</SUB> (I-TiO<SUB>2</SUB>) with extended light absorption and exploited its photocatalytic properties for the degradation of methylene-blue (MB) dye. The synthesized I-TiO<SUB>2</SUB> was characterized using X-ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and spectroscopic techniques. UV–visible measurements confirmed that the iodine doping led to a slight increase in the absorbance range of the TiO<SUB>2</SUB> by decreasing its bandgap. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed new peaks corresponding to Ti<SUP>3+</SUP> and Ti<SUP>2+</SUP>, in addition to Ti<SUP>4+</SUP> peaks. Photoluminescence analysis indicated that the I-TiO<SUB>2</SUB> can efficiently separate the charge carriers, yielding high photocatalytic activity. Compared with bare TiO<SUB>2</SUB>, the I-TiO<SUB>2</SUB> exhibited increased activity for the photo-degradation of MB.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Sol-gel synthesis of iodine doped TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles. </LI> <LI> Enhanced Methylene blue degradation activity on I-TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles. </LI> <LI> Iodine doping lead to the change in band electronic structure and carrier potential. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

On this study we selected some variables which affect on the estimation of voice traffic, internet traffic, and estimated daily average traffic by years according to the variables. We applied nonlinear growth curve model for future traffic forecast with estimated historical traffic data. As a result of the forecasting, this study investigates the year in which the internet traffic goes far than the voice traffic.

최근 WiFi 네트워크의 보급으로 무선통신에 대한 많은 연구를 하고 있다. WiFi 네트워크 뿐만 아니라 Bluetooth 연결도 개인영역네트워크(Pesonal Area Network)로 많이 보급하고 있다. 그러나 개인용 무선통비 장비인 개인 무전기(walkietalkie)의 발전은 아직도 아날로그 기술을 사용하고 있다. 복잡한 사회구조로 인해 1 : 1이나 1 : N통신 보단 M : N 통신이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 ad hoc을 이용하여 M : N 통신기능을 가지며 릴레이 기능을 가지는 프로토콜을 제안한다. 이와 유사한 것으로 블루투스를 이용한 스캐터넷(scatternet)이 있는데 제품회사에서 기능소개만 되고 실제로 구현하고 실험을 할 수 있는 제품을 찾을 수 없다. 이 논문은 음성 데이터를 전송하기 위해 multihop방식으로 M : N 통신이 가능한 프로토콜 제안한다. Recently there have been a lot of researches for wireless communications since WiFi networks are used everywhere. Not only WiFi networks but also Bluetooth connections are used as personal area networks. However a walkie-talkie, which is personal wireless voice communication devices, uses the analog technology. Due to complex and various social activities, an M:N communication method is required than 1:1 or 1:N communication method. This paper presents a protocol which has a relay function and M : N communication methods using ad hoc. Similar to this proposed method, there has been a scatternet of Bluetooth. There are a few papers which introduce and describe the scatternet but there is no available or commercial product implemented the scatternet function. This paper suggests a protocol which provides M : N communications with multi-hop method to transfer voice data.

<P>Diagnosing Behcet’s disease (BD) is challenging because of the lack of a diagnostic biomarker. The purposes of this study were to investigate distinctive metabolic changes in urine samples of BD patients and to identify urinary metabolic biomarkers for diagnosis of BD using gas chromatography/time-of-flight–mass spectrometry (GC/TOF−MS). Metabolomic profiling of urine samples from 44 BD patients and 41 healthy controls (HC) were assessed using GC/TOF−MS, in conjunction with multivariate statistical analysis. A total of 110 urinary metabolites were identified. The urine metabolite profiles obtained from GC/TOF−MS analysis could distinguish BD patients from the HC group in the discovery set. The parameter values of the orthogonal partial least squared-discrimination analysis (OPLS-DA) model were <I>R</I><SUP>2</SUP><I>X</I> of 0.231, <I>R</I><SUP>2</SUP><I>Y</I> of 0.804, and <I>Q</I><SUP>2</SUP> of 0.598. A biomarker panel composed of guanine, pyrrole-2-carboxylate, 3-hydroxypyridine, mannose, <SMALL>L</SMALL>-citrulline, galactonate, isothreonate, sedoheptuloses, hypoxanthine, and gluconic acid lactone were selected and adequately validated as putative biomarkers of BD (sensitivity 96.7%, specificity 93.3%, area under the curve 0.974). OPLS-DA showed clear discrimination of BD and HC groups by a biomarker panel of ten metabolites in the independent set (accuracy 88%). We demonstrated characteristic urinary metabolic profiles and potential urinary metabolite biomarkers that have clinical value in the diagnosis of BD using GC/TOF−MS.</P>
