Serrated Behaviors and Plasticity of Nb-Alloyed Cu-Based Bulk Metallic Glasses

This paper is to disclose the plastic deformation mechanism of 3 Nb-alloyed bulk metallic glasses and composites via theanalysis of serration dynamics. The as-cast alloys with 1.0 at% and 2.0 at% of Nb element display the large time windowof serrated events, implying that the serrated behavior can dynamically retain in a long-time scale and thus the alloys areendowed the largest compressive plasticity. The statistic results suggest that the serrated flow of both alloys with 1.0 at% and2.0 at% Nb element achieves the self-organized critical state. The normal probability plots were utilized to further evaluateserrated dynamics and demonstrate that large deviations from the mean value of stress drops facilitate the self-organizedcritical state of serrations. This work suggests that large plastic bulk metallic glasses and composites are characterized bynon-normal probability of serration statistics during plastic deformation.

A key comparison has been made between the air-kerma standards of the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China, and other Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) members in the medium-energy X-ray. This paper reviews the primary standard Free-air ionization chamber correc- tion factor experimental method and Monte Carlo simulation method in the NIM. The experimental method and the Monte Carlo simulation method are adopted to obtain the correction factor for the medium-energy X-ray primary standard free-air ionization chamber at 100 kV, 135 kV, 180 kV, 250 kV four CCRI reference qualities. The correction factor has already been submitted to the APMP as key comparison data and the results are in good agreement with those obtained in pre- vious studies. This study shows that the experimental method and the EGSnrc simulation method are usually used in the measurement of the correction factor. In particular, the application of the simulation methods is more common.
Optimizing opportunistic preventive maintenance strategy for multi-unit system of CNC lathe

Due to the many components in the multi-unit system (i.e., CNC machine tools), the existing preventive maintenance (PM) strategies conducting independent PM for every component are time-consuming and waste unnecessary maintenance and downtime costs. Hence, this paper introduces the idea of opportunistic maintenance into the PM and proposes an opportunistic imperfect PM approach, which is a more realistic PM policy for a multi-unit system. In this approach, the effect of PM is assumed to be imperfect to correct the failure rate of each unit. According to the corrected failure rate function, the imperfect PM strategy of a single unit is optimized by minimizing the proposed unit maintenance cost rate under the limitation of minimum reliability. Then, these independent imperfect PM strategies for units are rescheduled by the proposed opportunistic PM strategy under the condition of judging the reliability OM threshold of units. We further optimize the opportunistic PM strategy by minimizing the total maintenance cost. Finally, the advantage of our approach is verified by the case study of 18 CNC lathes.
Design and Implementation of Energy Saving Controller for Air-Conditioner in Building

This paper has completed the hardware design of STM32F103 system circuit, infrared code learning module, human body infrared sensor module, indoor temperature and humidity sensor module, completes the software design of learning air conditioning remote control code, indoor temperature and humidity sensor module, also completes the energy-saving controller hardware and software debugging. Finally, this paper takes split type air conditioning units in a conference room as the control object (including indoor lighting system) to complete the energy-saving controller in air conditioner electrical system design, installation and debugging, completes the air conditioning start-stop and infrared temperature control code learning test. The test results show that energy-saving controller has realized infrared automatic perception of human activity, machine start-stop code self-learning and temperature settings and other functions.
Creep Fracture Mechanism of a Single Crystal Nickel Base Alloy Under High Temperature and Low Stress

This paper reports the creep behavior of a nickel-based single crystal alloy and the creep fracture mechanism under hightemperature and low stress was discussed. The creep curves were analyzed with the Kelvin model. The retardation spectrasuggest that the involved atoms during creep need more relaxation time to achieve the viscous flow, nevertheless, the creepunder the stress of 120 MPa may be caused by the mismatch of dislocation motion and visco-plastic deformation. The fracturemorphologies of crept alloys indicate that the nickel base single crystal alloy presents micro-pore aggregation fracturemechanism under the condition of high temperature and low stress creep.
