THE VARIATION OF ONE MACHINE SCHEDULING PROBLEM
Han, Sangsu,Ishii, Hiroaki,Fujii, Susumu,Lee, Yong-Hae 한국경영과학회 1993 한국경영과학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.- No.1
A generalization of one machine maximum lateness minimization problem is considered. There are one machine with controllable speed and n weighting jobs J_j, j = 1,2,‥·,n with ambiguous duedates. Introducing fuzzy formulation, a membership function of the duedate associated with each job J_j. Thus the duedates are not constants as in conventional scheduling problems but decision variables reflecting the fuzzy circumstance of the job completing. We develop the polynomial time algorithm to find an optimal schedule and jobwise machine speeds, and to minimize the total sum of costs associated with jobwise machine speeds and dissatisfaction with respect to completion times of weighting jobs.
The Total Ranking Method from Multi-Categorized Voting Data Based on Analytic Hierarchy Process
Ogawa, Masaru,Ishii, Hiroaki Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers 2002 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.1 No.1
It is important to evaluate the performance of candidates mathematically from various aspects, and reflect it on decision making. In decision making, we judge the candidates through two steps, classification of objects and comparison of objects or candidates with plural elements. In the former step, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is useful method to evaluate candidates from plural viewpoints, and in the later step, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is also useful method to evaluate candidates with plural categorized data. In fact, each candidate has plural elements, nevertheless it has been more important to evaluate from various aspects in IT society. So, we propose a new procedure complementing AHP with DEA.
Batch Scheduling Problem with Multiple Due-dates Constraints
Mohri, Shintaro,Masuda, Teruo,Ishii, Hiroaki Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers 2011 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.10 No.1
This paper describes the issue of batch scheduling. In food production, the lead-time from produc-tion to sale should be decreased becausefreshness of the product is important. Products are shipped at diverse times depending on a demand of sellers, because the types of sellers has become diversified such as super-markets, convenience stores and etc. production of quantity demanded must be completed by time to ship it then. The authors consider a problem with due-dates constraints and construct the algorithm to find the opti-mal schedule that satisfy the due-dates constraint, batch size constraint, inventory time constraint and mini-mize total flow time.

Background/Aims: Restorative proctocolectomy (RPC) with ileal pouch-anal anastomosis and handsewn anastomosis for ulcerative colitis requires pulling down of the ileal pouch into the pelvis, which can be technically challenging. We examined risk factors for the pouch not reaching the anus. Methods: Clinical records of 62 consecutive patients who were scheduled to undergo RPC with handsewn anastomosis at the University of Tokyo Hospital during 1989–2019 were reviewed. Risk factors for non-reaching were analyzed in patients in whom hand sewing was abandoned for stapled anastomosis because of nonreaching. Risk factors for non-reaching in laparoscopic RPC were separately analyzed. Anatomical indicators obtained from presurgical computed tomography (CT) were also evaluated. Results: Thirty-seven of 62 cases underwent laparoscopic procedures. In 6 cases (9.7%), handsewn anastomosis was changed to stapled anastomosis because of non-reaching. Male sex and a laparoscopic approach were independent risk factors of non-reaching. Distance between the terminal of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) ileal branch and the anus > 11 cm was a risk factor for non-reaching.Conclusions: Laparoscopic RPC with handsewn anastomosis may limit extension and induction of the ileal pouch into the anus. Preoperative CT measurement from the terminal SMA to the anus may be useful for predicting non-reaching.

The larvae of Japanese gypsy moth (JGM, Lymantria dispar japonica) are highly polyphagous and considered a serious pest that cause significant ecological and economic losses in forests. Monitoring of egg masses is important to prevent large outbreaks of JGM from occurring in their native range. To investigate oviposition site selection by JGM, we analyzed the occurrence and spatial distribution of egg masses across various evergreen tree species within a secondary forest dominated by evergreen broad-leaved trees in western Japan, following a large outbreak. Egg masses were concentrated on the abaxial surfaces of the leaves of a few evergreen tree species. There was a strong preference for Camellia japonica L., on which more than 75% of the egg masses were found. Egg masses were only found on evergreen tree species with large leaves (leaf area >10 cm2 and leaf dry mass >0.1 g). The spatial distribution of egg masses were clustered at scales around 1‒2 m. For effective monitoring of JGM egg masses in warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved forests of Japan, the abaxial surfaces of the most abundant evergreen broadleaved trees with large leaves should be checked. If egg masses are found, it is likely that nearby trees of the same species
Identification and Quantitative Determination of Glucosinolates in Brassica napus cv. Hanakkori
Sun-Ju Kim,Kouei Fujii,Zaidul Islam Sarker Mohamed,Hyun-Woong Kim,Hiroaki Yamauchi,Gensho Ishii 한국식품과학회 2008 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.17 No.5
The objective of this study was to identify and quantify glucosinolates (GSLs) in Brassica napus cv. Hanakkori and its parents and to evaluate its potential bitter taste. ‘Hanakkori’ materials were cultivated with commercial chemical nutrients (20 kg/ha, N-P-K: 16-10-10) at the field. GSLs were isolated by means of extraction with 70%(v/v) boiling methanol (MeOH) followed by desulfation from those plants by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and identified by electronic spray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) analysis. In ‘Hanakkori’, 11 GSLs were identified as progoitrin, glucoraphanin, glucoalyssin, gluconapoleiferin, gluconapin, 1-methylpropyl, glucobrassicanapin, glucobrassicin, 4-methoxyglucobrassicin, gluconasturtiin, and neoglucobrassicin. The total GSL contents were 109 and 36.1 mmol/kg dry weights (d.w.) for the seeds and edible parts, respectively. The major GSLs (>5 mmol/kg d.w.) in the seeds were progoitrin (78.8), gluconapin (10.7), and glucobrassicanapin (7.81), whereas they in the edible parts were progoitrin (16.1) and glucobrassicanapin (8.58). In addition, the bitter taste in the edible parts was presumably related with the presence of progoitrin (>45% to the total GSL).
