        Ju yo-seop was working at English department of Fu Jen Catholic University when he lived in Beijing, and he led a comfortable and wealthy life· In his mind, Beijing was not a city, but a “place” or a “park”· He appreciated and admired the lifestyle of the persons lived in Beijing at thattime,because he observed they were not enough rich but all of them had hobbies to enjoy their life· He drew his inspiration from the life of Beijing, and reached at the height of literature creation· During this period, he created many Literatures, such as 「Sarang`s Guest and Mother」 and 「Madame of Anemones」,which criticized the common customs obstructing the “true love” and the traditional ethics, and expressed his romantics complex· Simultaneously, he developed the artistry of his writings by means of diversity of writing form· 「Sarang`s Guest and Mother」 and 「Madame of Anemones」 were his representative works when he lived in Beijing, but those could not be on behalf of all his works· Although the works was less at that time comparing with those written in 1920, these works, such as 「Roll of Drums,Dong Dong Dong」, 「The Restaurant in Fengtian Station」, 「The Good Friend」, and 「The Medical Doctor」 remained to being expressed his concern for times and society· The above works revealed the two different situation of Koreasocietyintimeinterval·Exceptfor 「Roll of Drums,Dong Dong Dong」, most of works showed the society changes with the time pass· The result of society changes lead to corruption of morals and bankrupt of materials, which expressed Ju yo-seop`s disgust and disappointment to reality·

        B2B 산업과 B2C 산업 간 기업의 사회적 책임 활동과 위험에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 산업의 소비자 유형, 즉 개인 소비자(B2C)와 기업 소비자(B2B) 여부가 기업의 사회적 책임(CSR) 활동의 위험감소 효과에 상이한 영향을 미치는 것을 회귀분석과 고정효과 분석을 통해 분석하였다. 2006~2019년까지 한국 유가증권시장에 상장된 비금융업 회사를 분석하여 다음을 보였다. 첫째, B2B 산업의 CSR 활동은 ROA의 표준편차를 감소시키지만 B2C 산업의 CSR 활동은 ROA의 표준편차를 증가시켰다. 둘째, B2B 산업에서 CSR 활동은 주식 총위험을 감소시키는 반면, B2C 산업에서 CSR 활동의 유의한 주식 총위험 감소효과를 찾을 수 없었다. 이는 CSR 활동이 좋은 평판을 형성함으로써 위험을 감소하는 효과가 산업별로 다를 수 있음을 의미한다. 셋째, B2B 산업 내에서 CSR 활동의 위험 감소효과는 대규모기업집단 소속기업, 최대주주 지분이 높은 기업에서 더 유의하였다. 이는 B2B 산업에서 CSR 활동의 위험 감소효과가 대리인 문제에 대한 우려와 달리 잘 기능하고 있음을 시사한다. We examine whether the risk reduction role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is different between business-to-business (B2B) industries and business-to-consumer (B2C) industries. Analyzing Korean non-financial firms listed in the KOSPI during the periods from 2006 to 2019, we find the following results. First, whilst CSR activities in the B2C industries significantly increase the standard deviation of ROA, CSR activities in the B2B industries significantly decrease the standard deviation of ROA. Second, CSR activities in the B2B industries significantly reduce the total risk of stocks but no significant relation between CSR activities in the B2C industries and total risk of stocks is found. The results imply that the risk reduction role of CSR activities could vary depending on the industries. Third, the risk reduction role of CSR activities in the B2B industry is more significant among Chaebol affiliates and firms where the largest shareholders’ ownership is greater than the median. These results indicate that CSR activities in the B2B industry is managed well regardless of the concerns from possible agency problems.

        Modified Ferric Hydroxamate Spectrophotometry for Assaying Glycolic Acid from the Hydrolysis of Glycolonitrile by Rhodococcus sp. CCZU10-1

        We successfully modified a ferric hydroxamate spectrophotometry method for assaying glycolic acid. Comparable to the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-based method, ferric hydroxamate spectrophotometry can be used to accurately monitor the time course of glycolonitrile bioconversion. Glycolic acid was assayed simply and rapidly at room temperature (25 ~35℃). Optimum culture conditions were obtained using this method to assay the glycolonitrile-hydrolyzing activity of Rhodococcus sp. CCZU10-1. The preferred carbon and nitrogen sources and ideal inducer were glucose (10 g/L),a composite of peptone (10 g/L) plus yeast extract (5 g/L),and ε-caprolactam (2 mmol/L), respectively. The optimal growth temperature and initial medium pH for Rhodococcus sp. CCZU10-1 glycolonitrile-hydrolyzing activity were 30℃ and pH 7.0. Modified ferric hydroxamate spectrophotometry could potentially be employed to assay other carboxylic acids.

      • A Novel DC Power Line Carrier Technology for the Technological Process of Water Distributor in Water Injection Well

        In order to optimize the technological process of the water distributor and do further sturdy about the interference pattern of the injection layers in China, we needs reasonable and reliable methods to obtain the dynamic parameters of water injection layers. In this paper, a novel DC power line carrier technology based on the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology is proposed, aiming to save the difficult communication problem between the underground and the surface. Using the signals on the power line, it includes the modulation and demodulation techniques and filter encoding technology to transmit the data. Experimental results show that this new communication technology has high noise resistance and low error rate, provides reliable technology support and data to optimize the injection process and build the model of the dynamic parameters change among all the layers.

        A Rapid Preconcentration Method Using Modified GP-MSE for Sensitive Determination of Trace Semivolatile Organic Pollutants in the Gas Phase of Ambient Air

        A sensitive concentration method utilising modified gas-purge microsyringe extraction (GP-MSE) was developed. Concentration (reduction in volume) to a microlitre volume was achieved. PAHs were utilised as semivolatile analytes to optimise the various parameters that affect the concentration efficiency. The injection rate and temperature were the key factors that affected the concentration efficiency. An efficient concentration (75.0-96.1%) of PAHs was obtained under the optimised conditions. The method exhibited good reproducibility (RSD values that ranged from 1.5 to 9.0%). The GP-MSE concentration method enhances the volume reduction (concentration factor), leading to a low method detection limit ($0.5-15ngL^{-1}$). Furthermore, this method offers the advantage of small-volume sampling, enabling even the detection of diurnal hourly changes in the concentration of PAHs in ambient air. Utilising this method in combination with GC-MS, the diurnal hourly flux of PAHs from the gas phase of ambient air was measured. Indeed, the proposed technique is a simple, fast, low-cost and environmentally friendly.

      • Comparative Study on Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization, Portal Vein Embolization and High Intensity Focused Ultrasound Sequential Therapy for Patients

        Objective: To investigate the safety and efficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE), combined with portal vein embolization (PVE), and high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) sequential therapy in treating patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: Patients with inoperative HCC were treated by two methods: in the study group with TACE first, then PVE a week later, and then TACE+PVE every two months as a cycle, after 2~3 cycles finally HIFU was given; in the control group only TACE+PVE was given. Response (CR+PR), and disease control rate (CR+PR+SD), side effects, overall survival and time to progress were calculated. Results: Main side effects of both groups were nausea and vomiting. No treatment related death occurred. In the study group, 32 patients received TACE for overall 67 times, PVE 64 times, and HIFU 99 times; on average 2.1, 2 and 3.1 times for each patient, respectively. In the control group, 36 patients were given TACE 78 times and PVE 74 times, averaging 2.2 and 2.1 times per patient. Effective rate: 25.0% in study group and 8.3% in control group (p>0.05). Disease control rates were 71.9% and 44.4%, respectively (p<0.05). In patients with portal vein tumor thrombus, the rate reduced over 1/2 after treatment was 69.2%(9/13) in the study and 21.4%(3/14) in the control group (p<0.05). Rate of AFP reversion or decrease over 1/2 was 66.7%(16/24) in study and 37%(10/27) (p<0.05) in control group. Median survival time: 16 months in study and 10 months in control group. PFS was 7months in study and 3 months in control group. Log-rank test suggested that statistically significant difference exists between two groups (p=0.024). 1-, 2- and 3-year survival rates were 56.3%, 18.8% and 9.3% in study, while 30.6%, 5.6% and 0 in control group, respectively, with statistically significant difference between two groups (by Log-rank, p = 0.014). Conclusions: The treatment of TACE+PVE+HIFU sequential therapy for HCC increases response rate, prolong survival, and could thus be a safe and effective treatment for advanced cases.

        A Quick Hybrid Atmospheric-interference Compensation Method in a WFS-less Free-space Optical Communication System

        In wave-front-sensor-less adaptive optics (WFS-less AO) systems, the Jacopo Antonello (JA) method belongs to the model-based class and requires few iterations to achieve acceptable distortion correction. However, this method needs a lot of measurements, especially when it deals with moderate or severe aberration, which is undesired in free-space optical communication (FSOC). On the contrary, the stochastic parallel gradient descent (SPGD) algorithm only requires three time measurements in each iteration, and is widely applied in WFS-less AO systems, even though plenty of iterations are necessary. For better and faster compensation, we propose a WFS-less hybrid approach, borrowing from the JA method to compensate for low-order wave front and from the SPGD algorithm to compensate for residual low-order wave front and high-order wave front. The correction results for this proposed method are provided by simulations to show its superior performance, through comparison of both the Strehl ratio and the convergence speed of the WFS-less hybrid approach to those of the JA method and SPGD algorithm.

      • Wind Power Dispatching under Grid Transmission Constraints

        In recent years, wind power penetration into the grid increased rapidly in Jiuquan, supported by the Provincial government to "establish a 'Hexi Wind Power Corridor' and to rebuild a Western 'Terrestrial Three Gorges Dam'". Jiuquan, as part of Silk Road along Hexi Corridor in China's Gansu Province, is far away from any load centers. Wind farms in this region are connected to 110 kV or above transmission network with a weak grid configuration and the transmission passage is the bottleneck of wind power delivery. This paper studies the integration of wind power into Jiayuguan-Jiuquan (Jia-Jiu) Grid focusing on the impact on Gansu Provincial Power Grid operation. By using power system analysis software package and the latest wind turbine models the transient stability is analyzed and a Special Protection Scheme (SPS) is configured to improve the wind power delivery ability. The results show that the SPS is effective. Discussions and suggestions are also included.

      • An etched stainless steel wire/ionic liquid-solid phase microextraction technique for the determination of alkylphenols in river water

        In this study, a stainless steel wire/ionic liquid-solid phase microextraction technique was developed for the direct extraction of APs from water samples. Some parameters were optimised, such as selection of the substrate and ILs, extraction time, extraction temperature, stirring rate and sample pH, etc. The experimental data demonstrated that the etched stainless steel wire was a suitable substrate for IL-coated SPME. The coating was prepared by directly depositing the ILs onto the surface of the etched stainless steel wire, which exhibited a porous structure and a high surface area. The [C<SUB>8</SUB>MIM][PF<SUB>6</SUB>] IL exhibited maximum efficiency with an extraction time of 30min, and the aqueous sample was maintained at 40<SUP>o</SUP>C and adjusted to pH 2 under stirring conditions. The enrichment factor of the IL coating for the four APs ranged from 1382 to 4779, the detection limits (LOD, S/N=3) of the four APs ranged from 0.01 to 0.04ng mL<SUP>-1</SUP> and the RSD values for purified water spiked with APs ranged from 4.0 to 11.8% (n=3). The calibration graphs were linear in the concentration range from 0.5 to 200ng mL<SUP>-1</SUP> (R<SUP>2</SUP>>0.9569). The optimised method was successfully applied for the analysis of real water samples, and the method was suitable for the extraction of APs from water samples.

      • Anchoring effect of Ni<sup>2+</sup> in stabilizing reduced metallic particles for growing single-walled carbon nanotubes

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The suitability of the NiMgO catalyst as a catalyst in chiral-selective growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) by chemical vapor deposition has been assessed. It reveals that catalyst calcination temperature plays an important role in affecting the catalyst performances. Using CO as the carbon precursor and a chemical vapor deposition reaction temperature of 600 °C, NiMgO pre-calcined at 600 °C demonstrates the best performances in catalyzing the growth of SWNTs with predominant (6, 5) species. Systematic characterizations on catalysts calcinated at different temperatures indicate that Ni<SUP>2+</SUP> ions diffuse towards the interior of MgO matrix upon annealing. DFT-based calculations reveal that the binding energy between Ni<SUP>2+</SUP> and adjacent Ni(0) is larger than that between Mg<SUP>2+</SUP> and Ni (0), while Ni<SUP>2+</SUP> situated deep inside MgO has weak interactions with surface Ni atoms. This work highlights the importance of subsurface Ni<SUP>2+</SUP> in anchoring reduced surface Ni atom, which inhibits the aggregation of Ni particles and therefore, facilitates the growth of SWNTs with a narrow chirality distribution.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>A Ni-incorporated MgO catalyst was developed for predominant synthesis of (6, 5) single walled carbon nanotubes. Density functional theory-based calculations revealed that the unreduced subsurface Ni stabilized reduced Ni atoms on the surface, facilitating the growth of carbon nanotubes with a narrow chirality distribution.</P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
