各種 Miticide에 對한 귤응애 Panonychus citri의 感受性에 關하여
李義淳,韓敎弼 慶北大學校 生産技術硏究所 1966 生産技術 Vol.1 No.-
The authors studied on the susceptibility of Citrus red mite to the various miticides collected from two localities; in resistant group and non-resistant group, resistance of Phenkapton and Folidol among the applied miticides were investigated. 1. Difference on the susceptibility of NR group an R group were shown significance. 2. In case of Phenkapton, Folidol and Tedion, the susceptibility were shown the highest differences among the various mitecides. 3. In the LD_50 by Probit treatment of Bliss to Phenkapton and Folidol, the ratio of the resistance R/NR were shown as 22 times in both chemicals. 4. The reasonable control methods and the most suitable chemicals can be selected in the orchards for the control of red mites through the recognition of susceptible degree to the chemicals by the conducted experimentation and its results.

The author collected 2 species of spider mites from persimmon and citrus trees in Taegu and Chun Chon during the summer of 1961 and 1969. Tenuipalpus japonicus collected from persimmon trees and Panonychus citri collected from citrus trees in and from trifoliate orange trees. In 1958 and 1961 Dr. E. S. Lee recorded four phytophagous species, i.e. Panonychus ulmi, Tetranychus pacificus, Tetranychus urticae and Bryobia praetiosa.

Abstract

The sulfated polysaccharide, p-KG03, purified from the marine microalga, Gyrodinium impudium, is a unique compound comprising homogenous galactose units conjugated to uronic acid and sulfated groups. Although previous studies showed that p-KG03 suppresses tumor cell growth and infection by encephalomyocarditis virus, its effect against enveloped virus infection and the biological mechanism of action have not been elucidated. In this report, the inhibitory activity of p-KG03 against influenza virus was examined and compared with that of other sulfated polysaccharides (fucoidan and pentosan polysulfate) and antiviral agents (oseltamivir phosphate, oseltamivir carboxylate, amantadine, and ribavirin). The results of a cytopathic effect reduction assay using MDCK cells demonstrated that p-KG03 exhibited the 50% effective concentration (EC50) values of 0.19–0.48μg/ml against influenza type A virus infection (selectivity index >200) but not all influenza type B viruses. Mechanism studies showed that inhibition of influenza virus replication was maximized when p-KG03 was added during or within 6h after viral infection, suggesting that mainly the viral adsorption and internalization steps are targeted by this compound. The results of influenza virus binding assay to p-KG03 and fluorescence microscopy indicate that the antiviral activity of p-KG03 is directly associated with its interaction with viral particles. The sulfated polysaccharide p-KG03 is a potent and specific influenza A viral entry inhibitor and may be a candidate for antiviral drug development.

Highlights

► The sulfated polysaccharide p-KG03 is derived from red marine microalga. ► It is active against influenza A virus but not all influenza B virus in vitro. ► The antiviral activity is highly correlated with its affinity to viral particles. ► The main mode of action of p-KG03 is to interfere with viral entry into cells.

In this study, a half-duplex mutual communication device via human skin was developed. Frequency-shift keying (FSK) digital modulation and demodulation control were used to transmit and receive data. Data communication through the human body is an effective communication technique and has high-grade security characteristics. In addition, making contact is a natural instinct of humans. Transmitting data through the human body is currently a highly conspicuous technology, because recently a lot of commercial sensors for humans have been developed. A body area network (BAN) can be easily constructed by this communication method on human skin. In this study, a half-duplex FSK mutual communication device was developed using a commercial FSK modulator and demodulator. A special control switching circuit and communication sequence were developed for mutual communication through human skin.
