A Note on Low-Correlation Zone Signal Sets

<P>In this correspondence, we present a connection between designing low-correlation zone (LCZ) sequences and the results of correlation of sequences with subfield decompositions presented in a recent book by the first two authors. This results in LCZ signal sets with huge sizes over three different alphabetic sets: finite field of size, integer residue ring modulo , and the subset in the complex field which consists of powers of a primitive th root of unity. We show a connection between these sequence designs and ldquocompletely noncyclicrdquo Hadamard matrices and a construction for those sequences. We also provide some open problems along this direction.</P>

Now, The Hakkas Culture disseminates everywhere, and it carries forward Area South of Yellow River Culture for the biggest time.
Anti-Oxidation of Cultured Cordyceps militaris Growing on Silkworm Pupa

Cordyceps, one of the well-known traditional Chinese medicines, consists of the dried fungus C. sinensis growing on the larva of caterpillar. It is commonly used as a tonic of restoring vital body functions. In order to evaluate the pharmacological effects of C. militaris, the anti-oxidation and antiaging effect of cultured C. militaris growing on pupa of silkworm Bombyx mori, were investigated. The results showed! that the contents of lipofusin in myocardium were reduced and the SOD activity in the liver were elevated in a dose-dependent manner while no effect was observed for blood GSH-Px activity and liver MDA content in mice perfused with the cultured C. militaris compared to those untreated mice. Furthermore, the average life span, maximum life span and 50% death time of the fruit flies treated with cultured C. militaris were markedly prolonged. The results suggest that the cultured C. militaris growing on pupa of silkworm possesses anti-oxidation and delay senescence activity.
Mechanical Stimulation-Induced Cross-Adaptation in Plants: An Overview

Mechanical stimulation (MS), existing widely but ignored usually in nature, is one of the environmental stress factors. MS not only affects growth, development, morphogenesis,and even survival of plants, but also induces the formation of cross-adaptation. In cross-adaptation, plants make use of common pathways and components to adapt to a range of different stresses after exposure to one specific stress. Here, we summarize current knowledge of MS-induced cross-adaptation to chilling, heat, salt, drought, and pathogen stress, as well as its possible mechanisms.
