      • Study on Importance Function for Particle Filter

        Liu Lu,Meng Yang,Shu Geng,Shu-fen Wang,Yong-hui Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.2

As an important nonlinear filter theory, particle filter is a heated issue in domestic and foreign researches. The option of importance density is one of the key steps of particle filter algorithm. The proper option of importance density can minish the negative influence of filter algorithm caused by degeneracy problem. This paper introduces several widely-used options of importance density systemically, and analyzes their features and applied perspectives respectively. The paper also advances a comprehensive method of importance density, analyzes its technical features, explores the adjudgement and improvement of this method based on various performance, and finally puts forward the necessary further study according to the engineer requirements.

      • Differential Protein Expression Profile Between CD20 Positive and Negative Cells of the NCI-H929 Cell Line

        Geng, Chuan-Ying,Liu, Nian,Yang, Guang-Zhong,Liu, Ai-Jun,Leng, Yun,Wang, Hui-Juan,Li, Li-Hong,Wu, Yin,Li, Yan-Chen,Chen, Wen-Ming Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.11

At present, multiple myeloma (MM) remains an incurable disease and cologenic cells may be responsible for disease relapse. It has been proposed that CD20+/CD138- NCI-H929 cells could be hallmarks of MM clonogenic cells. Here, the immunology phenotype of NCI-H929 cells is described. Only a small population of CD20+/CD138- cells (<1%) was found in the NCI-H929 cell line, but CD20+/CD138- cells were not detected. We found that CD20+/CD138+ cells were able to exhibit cologenic capacity by colony formation assay and continuous passage culture. Proteins were analyzed by 1D-SDS-PAGE and TMT based quantitative differential liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). 1,082 non-redundant proteins were identified, 658 of which were differentially expressed with at least a 1.5-fold difference. 205 proteins in CD20+ cells were expressed at higher levels and 453 proteins were at lower levels compared with CD20- cells. Most proteins had catalytic and binding activity and mainly participated in metabolic processes, cell communication and molecular transport. These results proved that there are different biological features and protein expression profile between CD20+ and CD20- cells in the NCI-H929 cell line.

Increase in Plasma Glucose Lowering Action of Rosiglitazone by Electroacupuncture at Bilateral Zusanli Acupoints (ST.36) in Rats

        Hui-Ching Pai,Chung-Yuh Tzeng,Yu-Chen Lee,Chin-Hsien Chang,Jaung-Geng Lin,Juei-Tang Cheng,Shih-Liang Chang 사단법인약침학회 2009 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.2 No.2

Objectives: Hypoglycemia induced by electroacupuncture (EA) is due to an increase of insulin secretion and/or mediation of β-endorphin. We applied EA at the Zusanli (ST.36) acupuncture point (acupoint) in combination with rosiglitazone (TZD) administration to evaluate their effect on plasma glucose and to explore possible mechanisms of action. Methods: Thirty six normal adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: the 0.1 mg/kg TZD group (0.1TZD), 0.1 mg/kg TZD and EA group (0.1TZD + EA), EA group, and control group. In other experiments, streptozotocin was used to induce type 2 diabetes mellitus in neonatal rats; these were then randomly divided into a 0.1TZD group, 0.1TZD + EA group, and EA group and changes in plasma glucose and insulin concentrations evaluated. Results: A marked hypoglycemic response was observed in the normal rat 0.1TZD, 0.1TZD + EA and EA groups, with the response more significant in the 0.1TZD + EA group than in the 0.1TZD group. Among the diabetic animals, the hypoglycemic responses in the 0.1TZD + EA and EA groups were greater than in the 0.1TZD group. In both the normal and diabetic rats, insulin secretion was increased by EA or 0.1TZD + EA treatment, but not by 0.1TZD. Conclusions: The plasma glucose lowering action of rosiglitazone was increased by EA in both normal and diabetic rats, indicating that the application of EA may enhance the hypoglycemic action of this insulin sensitizer. • LOW TEMPERATURE SYNTHESIS OF Mg(OH)2 NANOTUBES IN AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS OF BLOCK COPOLYMER P123

        HUI-MING CHENG,ZHIGANG ZHAO,FENGXIA GENG,HONGTAO CONG,JINBO BAI 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2006 NANO Vol.1 No.2

A simple aqueous solution-based block-polymer-assisted method was developed for the synthesis of Mg(OH)2 nanotubes using inexpensive starting materials (MgSO4 and NaOH) with significant advance of bringing down the average outer diameter to the regime below 10 nm. The synthesized nanotubes are found to possess a relatively high specific surface area up to 64 m2/g, which may suggest their potential value for use in the catalysis field. The Barrett–Joyner–Halenda pore-size distribution plot reveals a bimodal distribution centred at 3.4 and 17.3 nm, which may be from the tunnel cavity and the aggregated pores of Mg(OH)2 nanotubes, respectively. This method can be widely used to fabricate other inorganic 1D nanostructured materials and easily realized in industrial-scale synthesis.

      • LOW TEMPERATURE SYNTHESIS OF Fe-DOPED ZnO NANOROD BUNDLES IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION

        FENGXIA GENG,HUI-MING CHENG,ZHIGANG ZHAO,HONGTAO CONG,JINBO BAI 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2006 NANO Vol.1 No.2

Pure and Fe-doped ZnO nanorod bundles were synthesized in aqueous solution at low temperature, in which inexpensive reagents such as Zn(NO3)2, NaOH and Fe(NO3)3 were used as precursors. The composition of the final product can be roughly tuned by the precursor ratio used. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy confirms the successful incorporation of Fe element into ZnO nanorods, and X-ray diffraction reveals that ZnO nanorod bundles have a pure hexagonal wurtzite-phase structure. UV–vis spectroscopy show that the spectrum shifts to longer wavelength with increasing iron doping.

      • Antitumor Constituents from Anthriscus Sylvestris (L.) Hoffm

        Chen, Hui,Jiang, He-Zhong,Li, Yong-Chao,Wei, Guo-Qing,Geng, Yun,Ma, Chao-Ying Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.6

Bioassay-guided chemical investigation of the roots of Anthriscus sylvestris (L.) Hoffm. resulted in the isolation of nine compounds, whose structures were determined by spectroscopic methods. Compound 1 was isolated from this plant for the first time and compounds 3 and 9 were first found from this genus. Different polar fractions of A. sylvestris extract and compounds 1, 6-8 and 9 were evaluated for antitumor activities against HepG2 (human hepatocellular carcinoma), MG-63 (human osteosarcoma cells), B16 (melanoma cells) and HeLa (human cervical carcinoma cells) lines by the MTT method. The petroleum ether fraction of A. sylvestris extract exhibited excellent inhibitory activity with an $IC_{50}$ value of $18.3{\mu}g/ml$. Among the isolates from the petroleum ether fraction, compound 7 showed significant inhibition against the growth of the four tumor cells with $IC_{50}$ values ranging from $12.2-43.3{\mu}g/ml$.

Effect of dietary supplementation of Sargassum meal on laying performance and egg quality of Leghorn layers

        Fan Geng-Jen,Shih Bor-Ling,Lin Hui-Chiu,Lee Tzu Tai,Lee Churng-Faung,Lin Yih-Fwu 아세아·태평양축산학회 2021 Animal Bioscience Vol.34 No.3

Objective: Seaweeds could be an alternative and functional feed resource. The purpose of this experiment is to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of Sargassum meal on laying performance and egg quality of layers. Methods: Two hundred 36-wk-old layers were divided into five treatment groups. Each treatment had four replicates with 10 hens per experimental unit. The corn-soybean meal basal diet was formulated as control group. Sargassum meals were included 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, or 5% to diets for five treatment groups, respectively. Treatment groups were isocaloricisonitrogenous diets. Laying performance and egg quality were measured for eight weeks. Results: Sargassum meal supplementation did not affect daily feed intake. Supplementation 1% to 3% of Sargassum meal in diets increased daily laying rate and egg mass compared with those from control group (p<0.05). Egg qualities among five groups were all similar. Supplementation of 3% Sargassum meal increased the lightness of egg yolk (p<0.05). Eggs produced from layers fed 1% and 2% Sargassum meal had a higher consumer’s acceptability than the control group (p<0.05). In blood characteristics, contents of glucose, nitrogen, triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) increased as the increase of supplementation ratio of Sargassum meal (p<0.05). In serum antibody titers, supplementation of 2% Sargassum meal stimulated a higher immunoglobulin M (IgM) level than that from control group (p<0.05). However, IgM content of layers fed diets with Sargassum meal ≥3% were decreased (p<0.05). There was no difference in IgA and IgG titers among groups. Conclusion: Supplementation of 1% to 3% Sargassum meal has shown to increase egg laying rate and egg mass of Leghorn layers. However, high supplementation (5%) would negatively affect laying performance. In consideration of laying performance, egg quality, consumer responses, and blood antibody, supplementation of Sargassum meal was suggested 2% in the diet for layers. State‑of‑charge estimation for lithium‑ion battery based on PNGV model and particle filter algorithm

        Yuanfei Geng,Hui Pang,Xiaofei Liu 전력전자학회 2022 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.22 No.7

The accurate state-of-charge (SOC) estimation for lithium-ion battery (LIB) cells and packs plays an important role in fulfilling efficient battery management. However, some estimation errors of LIB states and SOC are often encountered when using the conventional battery model and filter algorithms. Thus, this paper explores a SOC estimation method of LIB based on an improved partnership for a new generation of vehicle (PNGV) model and particle filter (PF) algorithm. First, a second-order PNGV model is constructed, and the effect of different SOC interval changes on battery model parameters is considered. Then, the improved PNGV model-based PF algorithm is employed to realize the real-time estimation of battery SOC. Finally, the proposed SOC estimation method is validated under constant current and dynamic urban dynamometer driving schedule (UDDS) conditions. Results show that the improved PNGV model of LIB integration with the PF algorithm can considerably enhance the accuracy of SOC estimation. Compared to the conventional PNGV model-based PF algorithm, the mean absolute error and root mean squared error of SOC estimation errors are, respectively, reduced by approximately 32.7% and 32.5% under the 0.5C rate discharge and UDDS conditions.

Effect of nano MMT and mesoporous MCM-41 on corrosion resistance of poly (propylene carbonate) - based waterborne polyurethane

        Jiaying Zhang,Hui Zheng,Haibo Geng,Ying Li,Yapeng Guan,Yuanbin Sun,Cunjian Zhu 한국화학공학회 2022 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.39 No.4

Environmental friendly poly (propylene carbonate)-based waterborne polyurethane (PPC-based WPU) isprepared with PPC and isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) as the soft segment and the hard segment, respectively. In thisreaction system, 2,2-dimethylolbutyric acid (DMBA) is used as the hydrophilic donor and trimethylolpropane (TMP)as the crosslinking agent. The effect of co-doping of layered montmorillonite (MMT) and mesoporous material MCM-41 on corrosion resistance of PPC-based WPU resin was studied. The properties of the samples were characterizedwith N2 physical adsorption, XRD, FT-IR, TG-DTA, DSC and water absorption testing. Potentiodynamic polarizationcurves, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and salt spray test were employed to investigate the corrosionperformance of all the coatings. The results of XRD indicate that the MMT in the composite polyurethane resin ispeeled off and MCM-41 maintains the hexagonal framework structure after grinding. Compared with the WPU coatingswith MMT or MCM-41 single incorporation, those with MMT and MCM-41 co-incorporation show the best corrosionresistance, which is due to the different interface structure between filler and resin matrix.
