        The purpose of this study is investigate the effect of korean Job's tears on the Food Efficiency and Body wight of Rats. D group of high amount rowed in diet amount, rowed in food efficiency, reduced in dody weight. 40% Job's tears group showed ghigh significant than other group in male rat but not high female rat. 60% Job's tears diet group revealed signigicant low in male rat but the body weight reduce showed in female, As follow as Job's tears effect on male than female.

      • 螢光燈의 磁氣場에 의한 影響調査

        In this study, it was observed that the discharge voltage is increased(Vd ∝ H), the discharge current and luminous intensity are decreased(L ∝ H^2) as the magnetic field intensity(H) applied on the several commercial fluorescent lamps is increased. Magnetic insulation is appeared in the condition that critical transverse magnetic field is applied on the fluorescent lamps. At that condition, discharge current is reduced very low level, and then glow is disappeared. As the length of the lamp tubes is decreased, magnetic field intensity has to increased in order to occur "magnetic insulation". The experimental relation between critical magnetic field intensity for magnetic insulation anil the length of the lamp tubes (H^*d_eff/V_d^(1/2) = A) is obtained.

      • 과학전 출품작과 현장학습의 연계성에 관한 연구

        In this paper, we report some sorts of result obtained by investigating the exhibits which had been submitted for "The National Exhibition of Science"and "The Science Exhibition for the Students of Cheju-do"during the last ten years and by putting the questions to the science teacher of the teacher of the middle and high schools in Cheju-do. Up to the half number the exhibits are occupied by the field of physics and biology. Almost the exhibits (above 90%) have the contents related to those of the current curriculum. However, 30.2% of the respondents only believe that their students may put the exhibits to practical use in learning. Many respondents replied that they could have not participated in the exhibition of science because they were in heavy duty and the fiscal support were not only so limited but also not sufficient enough to make an excellent work.

      • Amorphus Selenium의 K吸收端 微細構造 硏究

        The K-abserpsion specterum of Amorphus Selenium were measured. The Speetrometer used is a single Crytal spectrometer which are modified a X-ray diffractometer. There have been several attemps to interpret the extented X-ray abserption fine structure(EXAFS) in terms of the final state interaction of photoelectron with surrounding atoms of the absorbing atom. The general formula of the EXAFS oscillations obtained for uncrystalline Selenium with unpolarized X-ray has been drived. Assuming only the single scattering atoms, the one electron theory with the Muffin-tin potential gives the absorption coefficient for the photoabsorption by an inner core electron with angular momentum. An inner-core electron absorbs the photon and is excited to the final continuum state with angular momentum above the Fermi level. The basic assumption made in the derivation of the formula on our calculation. 1) The absorbing atom phase shifts δ_l' are evaluated assuming neutral atom model. 2) In evaluating the backscattering amplitude f(π), the scattering phase shifts of photoelectron by surrounding atoms are calculated using the core wave function. The comparrison between theory and experiments shows a good agreement.

      • 미국대학을 중심으로한 과학교육문야 박사학위 논문분석

        The condensed results of the analytical study on 361 doctoral dissertations in science education recorded in Dissertation Abstracts International during the years of 1985 - 1989 are as follows: About eighty to hundred dissertations were produced annually, but a slight decline in number was noted currently. About 94.4% of dissertations were produced by the universities in the USA. The research data of 361 dissertations were collected from 25 countries. Over 40% of total dissertations had been focused on high school(senior middle school) and college students as the source of research. Disciplines of science constituting the background of dissertations were biologj(19.1%), physics(12.7%), chemistry(12.0%) and earth science(2.5%). Concerning the research branches, the number of dissertations belonging to complex research(composed of experimental and theoretical research) was 118(32.7%) and those belonging to experimental and theoretical research were 88( 24.4%) and 74(20.5%) respectively. Also that belonging to computer-aided research was 45(12.5%). The general methods of data collection were examination & test(34.9% ), questionaire(22.2 %) and complex method(l9.1%). The main areas of dissertations were academic achievement(31.8%), teaching assessment nd pedagogy(18.8%).

        Laparoscopic repair of parastomal and incisional hernias with a modified Sugarbaker technique

        A parastomal hernia is the most common surgical complication following stoma formation. As the field of laparoscopic surgery advances, different laparoscopic approaches to repair of parastomal hernias have been developed. Recently, the Sugarbaker technique has been reported to have lower recurrence rates compared to keyhole techniques. As far as we know, the Sugarbaker technique has not yet been performed in Korea. We herein present a case report of perhaps the first laparoscopic parastomal hernia repair with a modified Sugarbaker technique to be successfully carried out in Korea. A 79-year-old woman, who underwent an abdominoperineal resection for an adenocarcinoma of the rectum 9 years ago, presented with a large parastomal and incisional hernias, and was treated with a laparoscopic repair with a modified Sugarbaker technique. Six months after surgery, follow-up with the patient has shown no evidence of recurrence.

      • Photon Noise의 실험적 고찰

        Statistics for the photon noise was checked and a relatively simple apparatus for the oservation of photon noise was constructed. We observed pulse shapes of photon noise and calculated noise voltage, anode current, counting rate and photoyield factor of RCA 931A PM tube. Also we checked the best condition for the measurement of photon noise.

      • 자몽종자추출물 분말제재를 첨가한 김치의 저장성 연장

        GFSE 분말제재를 절인 배추에 대하여 0.1%, 0.3% 및 0.5%씩 첨가하여 김치를 만들고 10℃에서 숙성하면서 pH, 적정산도, 환원당 함량, 총균수, 젖산균수와 같은 품질 특성을 조사하였다. 숙성 기간이 경과함에 따라 김치의 pH는 감소하였는데, 대구조와 GFSE 분말제재 0.1% 첨가구, 0.3%와 0.5% 첨가구는 서로 비슷한 경향을 나타내었다. 대구조는 숙성 5일의 pH가 4.20으로 김치의 숙성 적기로 판단되는 범위에 도달하였는데, 0.5% 첨가구는 25일게 pH 4.19였다. 적정산도는 김치의 숙성 기간이 경과함에 따라 계속 증가하였으며, 시험기구간의 변화 경향은 pH와 유사하였다. 환원당 함량은 김치의 숙성과 더불어 감소하였으며, 대구조와 GFSE 분말 제재 0.1% 첨가구는 숙성 10일까지 급격히 감소하였고 그 이후에는 큰 변화를 나타내지 않았다. GFSE 분말제재 0.3%, 0.5% 첨가구의 환원당 함량 감소는 비교적 완만하였으며, 숙성 전 기간에 걸쳐서 감소하였다. GFSE 분말제재는 김치의 담금 직후 총균수와 젖산균수를 낮추는 작용을 하였으며, 숙성 기간 중에도 젖산균의 증식을 억제하였다. 특히 GFSE 분말 제재 0.5% 첨가구는 숙성 20일 이후에 젖산균수가 급격하게 줄어들었고, 30일에는 다른 시험구보다 2log(CFU/mL) 이하 낮았다. Grapefruit seed extract powder (GFSEP), which was made with grapefruit seed extract and calcium carbonate, was investigated to retard the fermentation rate. The mixing ratios of GFSEP to salted Chinese cabbage were 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5%. Quality characteristics of kimchi such as pH, titratable acidity, reducing sugar content and microbial loads were measured during fermentation at 10℃. pH and reducing sugar content of control and kimchi sample with 0.1% GFSEP showed decreases until 10 days, and then attained to stabilized levels. Kimchi samples with 0.3% and 0.5% GFSEP maintained a higher pH and reducing sugar content, while microbial load was lower that others. Based on the pH and titratable acidity, kimchi samples with GFSEP prolong the shelf life about 3∼10 days.
