Nanocarbon-based flexible electrode technology

Development of flexible electrode technologies is one of the grand challenges of our times for future wearable or soft electronics such as flexible display, flexible touch screen panel, flexible solar cell, textile devices, etc. This requires development of highly flexible and conductive materials, which can be applied in large areas. Presently, metallic or inorganic materials are unable to meet these stringent requirements. To address this we are developing nanocarbon-based flexible electrode technologies by solution process. We have shown that these electrode can be used in touch screen panel, solar cell, OLED as an alternative electrode. In this presentation, I will introduce the efficient fabrication of nanocarbon-based flexible electrodes on plastic substrates, which could be realized by stable colloidal dispersion of carbon nanotubes and graphene nanosheets.
