The analysis of static and dynamic characteristics of reinforced roadbed materials was performed through model and laboratory tests. The strength characteristic of reinforced roadbed materials such as HMS-25 and soil were investigated through the unconfined axial compression test, the model soil box test and the combined resonant column and torsional shear test. The unconfined axial compression strength of HMS-25 shows a steady increasement in strength due to the chemical hardening reaction between HMS-25 and water. The result of model soil box test reveals that railroad roadbed of HMS-25 is better than that of soil in several aspects, such as, bearing capacity and settlement. The combined resonant column and torsional shear test result indicates that shear modulus of HMS-25 and soil increase with the power of 0.5 to the confining pressure and linear relationship to normalized shear modulus and damping ratio.

Concrete has been most widely used in the construction field and it sustains long life serviceability with its high durability. These days, construction of the near-seashore structures becomes more common and those near-seashore structures are exposed to very severe environmental conditions. Chloride, de-icing salt, carbonation, freezing-thawing and sulfate are main reasons of the deterioration of the concrete structures. Amongst these, the corrosion of the reinforcing bar due to the chloride attack has been known as the primary factor for the deterioration of the concrete structures. In this paper, the chloride diffusion analysis has been carried out in accordance with the Korean Railway Design Code in order to assess durability of a railway structure exposed to the marine environments. Parameters included in the analysis are cement types, water-to-cement ratio, chloride content on the surface, and initial chloride content of the concrete. The required cover depth of the structure was evaluated considering the targeted service life. Based on the analysis results, suggested were the required concrete quality and durability design scheme under the marine environments.

본 논문은 마이크로웨이브 발열시스템을 적용한 터널라이닝 콘크리트 양생 기술에 관한 연구이다. 터널라이닝 콘크리트의 거푸집 탈형 시 요구되는 압축강도 3MPa 이상의 강도 발현 시간을 측정한 결과, 발열양생의 경우 4시간 이상, 일반양생의 경우 27시간 이상 소요되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 마이크로웨이브 발열시스템을 적용한 터널라이닝 콘크리트의 양생시간을 최대 85% 단축시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. In this paper, tunnel lining concrete curing technology using microwave heating system is introduced. The curing time to reach the required compressive strength of 3MPa in order to remove the tunnel lining form was measured. The measured times were 4 hours with the heat curing system and 27 hours with the conventional curing system. Thus, it is concluded that the curing time of tunnel lining concrete can be reduced up to 85% with the adoption of microwave heating system.

Equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) has been employed to produce materials with ultra-fine grains that have<br/> high strength and high corrosion resistance properties. In order to obtain super plastic deformation during ECAP, multipass<br/> angular pressing is frequently employed. In this paper, three-dimensional finite element analyses have been<br/> performed to investigate the deformation behavior of pure-Zr specimen and the effects of process parameters for equal<br/> channel multi-angular pressing (ECMAP) process. The results have been compared with some experimental results
