각종 변이원들에 의해 유도된 돌연변이원성에 대한 수리취 추출물의 억제작용

본 연구는 Trp-P-1, 2-AF 및 4-NQO에 의하여 유발되는 변이원성에 대한 수리취 추출물의 억제효과에 대하여 Ames방법을 이용하여 수행하였다. 수리취 생즙, 가열즙 및 에탄올 추출액 자체는 돌연변이원성을 나타내지 않았으며 수리취의 생즙은 50μl/plate의 농도에서 Trp-P-1에 의해 유도된 TA98 균주의 변이원성에 대하여 약 90%의 억제효과를 나타내었으며 가열즙과 에탄올 추출액은 각각 37%와 28%의 억제효과를 나타내었다. 2-AF에 의해 유도된 TA98 균주의 변이원성에 대한 수리취 생즙, 가열즙 및 에탄올 추출액은 200μl/plate의 농도에서 80%, 60% 및 58%의 억제효과를 각각 나타내었다. 위 두 변이원에 의해 유도된 변이원성에 대한 수리취 추출물의 억제효과는 모든 농도에서 TA100 균주가 TA98 균주 보다 훨씬 민감한 반응을 나타냈다. 반면에 수리취 생즙, 가열즙 및 에단올 추출액 모두 4-NQO에 의하여 유도된 변이원에 대하여는 TA98과 TA100 균주 모두 매우 미약한 억제반응을 나타내었다. 이 결과는 수리취 생즙이 Trp-P-1이나 2-AF에 의해 유도되는 변이원성에 대하여는 가장 강한 억제효과를 나타내었으나 4-NQO에 의해 유도되는 변이 원성에 대하여는 모든 추출물에서 억제효과가 매우 미약하였다. This study was undertaken to determine the antimutagenic effects of Synurus deltoides extracts on the mutagenesis induced by 3-amino-1,4-dimethyl-5-H-pyrido[4,3-b]indol(Trp-P-1), 2-aminofluorene(2-AF) and 4-nitroquinolin-1-oxide(4NQO) using Ames test. Raw juice, heated juice, and ethanol extract from Synurus deltoides itself did not induce mutagenesis. The raw juice, heated juice and ethanol extract of 5μl/plate showed approximately 90%, 37% and 28% inhibitory effect on the mutagenesis induced by Trp-P-1 against TA98 strain, while 80%, 60% and 58% inhibition was observed on the mutagenesis induced by 2-AF at the concentration of 200μl/plate, respectively. TA100 strain was more sensitive than TA98 strain by raw juice, heated juice and ethanol extract on the mutagenesis induced by Trp-p-1 and 2-AF. Meanwhile, the raw juice, heated juice, and ethanol extract showed very limited inhibitory effects on the mutagenesis induced by 4-NQO against TA98 and TA100 strain. These results indicate that raw juice had the strongest inhibitory effect on the Trp-P-1 or 2-AF induced mutagenesis, but all of the extracts had a little antimutagenic effects on the 4-NQO induced mutagenesis.

Pohang Wind Energy Research Center (PoWER-C) is developing a 3 MW Radial Flux Permanent Magnet (RFPM) Synchronous Generator for offshore Wind Energy Converter (WEC). The rotor rpm is 15.7 and the gear ratio is set to be 92.93. The nominal generator rpm at the rated load is about 1459. To reduce the switching loss in the power electronics, the maximum frequency is limited to 100 Hz. This requirement limits the number of pole to six or eight. Permanent magnet excitation is assumed for higher energy yield and higher efficiency. In this report, the requirements and the first efforts for the physics design are described.

Pohang Wind Energy Research Center (PoWER-C) is developing a 3 MW Radial Flux Permanent Magnet (RFPM) Synchronous Generator for offshore Wind Energy Converter (WEC). The blade rotor rpm is 15.7 and the gear ratio is set to be 92.93. The nominal generator rpm at the rated load is about 1459. Baseline design with surface mounted PM magnets are completed. However, there is some concern about the excessive eddy current heating in the magnets. To alleviate this problem, another design with embedded magnet is going on. With embedded magnets, the generator length should be increased to compensate the increased flux leakage. But the field fluctuation in the magnets due to the slots are greatly reduced. This means less eddy currents and lower magnet operating temperature. In this report, engineering efforts for embedded rotor is presented.
