A simple test method for evaluating the slip of 12.4mm diameter prestressing strand is presented. This test which is could be adopted to the field condition, reproduces the slip behavior of prestressing wedge anchorage. This test, conducted at the sungkyunkwan univ. structural test laboratory, compared the prestressing wedge anchorage slip and the slip loss of prestress. It shows that the average slip of wedge anchorage system is 2.87mm and loss of prestress is 4.81 ton respectively. The comparison of experimental value of prestressing loss of wedge slip and numerical value considering elastic theory is also discussed.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the energy intake and physical activity (PA) levels according to metabolic syndrome (MS) in Korean adult women. A total of 3,983Korean adult women participated in the cross-sectional survey using The Sixth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2014 to 2015. We analysed physical activity level including occupational and recreational physical activity, and energy intake with consumptions of carbohydrate, protein, and fat. In this study, moderate and vigorous intensity of recreational physical activity levels in MS group were lowered compared to non-MS group. In addition, in energy intake analysis, protein intake of MS group was significantly lowered than non-MS group in 60’s age. Based on the previous reports and our results, age specific analysis of PA and energy intake with presence of MS might be an importance basic evidence for the customized intervention of life style including PA and nutritional diet.
인공 고관절 재치환술 수술시 자가수혈 및 유도 저혈압의 효용성

Background: During total hip arthroplasty, replacement of a substantial amount of blood loss is necessary. The adverse effects of homologous blood transfusion have been documented consequently and the intraaperative autotransfusion has attracted considerable interest. The authors have attempted to reduce the amount of the homologous blood transfusion by inducing hypotension and autotransfusion. Methods: Twenty patients who underwent revision total hip arthroplasty were divided into two groups. Group I received homologous blood perioperatively. Group II was transfused with predonated autologous blood and intraoperative salvage technique with Cell Saver apparatus, were used along with sodium nitroprusside for hypotensive anesthesia to decrease intraoperative bleeding. We observed the amount of blood loss and transfused blood, and hematologic laboratory data, and complications. Results: The mean requirement for transfusion was 3080 ml in group I and 1289 ml in group II. In the level of the hematocrit, there was a significant smaller hematocrit drop (8%) over the first two postoperative days in group II. There were no complications such as disseminated intravascular coagulopathy, severe thrombocytopenia, microemboli, and nephrotoxicity. Conclusions: The autologous transfusion and induced hypotension in the total hip arthroplasty is thought to be an effective method to reduce the amount of homologous blood transfusion.
