Ecological characteristics of phytoplankton communities were investigated biweekly at 6 stations from Feb. 2001 to Feb. 2002 at the lower part of the Han River. During the study, a total of 267 taxa which were composed of 114 green algae, 104 diatoms, 22 blue-green algae, 13 chrysophytes and 2 dinoflagellates were observed. The standing crops of phytoplankton communities were ranged from 1.30 ${\times}10^6$ cells ${\cdot}l^{-1}$ to 37.47 ${\times}10^6$ cells ${\cdot}l^{-1}$. The dominant species were 11 taxa including Pediastrum duplex, Scenedesmus quadricauda in green algae, Osillatoria limosa, Microcystis aeruginosa, Merisomorpedia sp., Phormidium sp. in blue-green algae, and Asterionella gracillima, Aulacoseira granulata, Fragilaria crotonensis, Stephanodiscus hantzschii f. tenuis, Synedra acus in diatoms. Asterionella gracillima and Stephanodiscus hantzschii f. tenuis were abundant at every station from winter to spring. Stephanodiscus hantzschii f. tenuis occupied the highest dominant ratio and standing crop. From summer to autumn, dominant species were Aulacoseira granulata at all stations and blue-green algae such as Osillatoria limosa, Microcystis aeruginosa, Merisomorpedia sp. at some stations. These 4 species were mostly present at the lower stations 4, 5, 6 and very few at the upper stations 1, 2, 3.

Embedded capacitor technology can improve electrical perfomance and reduce assembly cost compared with traditional discrete capacitor technology. To improve the capacitance density of the $Al_2O_3$ based embedded capacitor on Cu cladded fiber reinforced plastics (FR-4), the specific surface area of the $Al_2O_3$ thin films was enlarged and their surface morphologies were controlled by anodization process parameters. From I-V characteristics, it was found that breakdown voltage and leakage current were 23 V and $1{\times}10^{-6}A/cm^2$ at 3.3 V, respectively. We have also measured C-V characteristics of $Pt/Al_2O_3/Al/Ti$ structure on CU/FR4. The capacitance density was $300nF/cm^2$ and the dielectric loss was 0.04. This nano-porous $Al_2O_3$ is a good material candidate for the embedded capacitor application for electronic products.

We report a case of actinomycotic infection in epiglottis. Actinomycosis in the head and neck area is relatively rare but extremely rare in the larynx. A 63-year old man presented with continuous discomfort of the throat while swallowing. He had a history of oral injury caused by a fish bone a few weeks prior. Upon Examination with a flexible laryngoscope, a whitish round mass was noted at the lingual surface of the epiglottis. Under local anesthesia, a punch biopsy was performed and showed the typical features of actinomycosis. The mass was removed using a Diode laser under suspension laryngoscope. Additive oral antibiotic therapy was done for 2 weeks. No definite recurrence was noted at the operation site and the patient is now free of disease.

This paper provides a methodology for extracting design data from the three-dimensional design software SolidWorks<SUP></SUP>®<SUP></SUP>, which isbased on the existing trochoid pump design equations thatare used by hydraulic field engineers. The data extracted from the SolidWorks<SUP></SUP>®<SUP></SUP> model are input to a hydraulic analysis software AMESim<SUP></SUP>®<SUP></SUP> model todetermine the design factors that can influence the properties of a trochoid pump. On the basis of the simulation results, this paper proposesa methodto reduce the flow loss by adjusting the outlet angle of the trochoid pump. This proposal was verified by using actual experimental results, which confirmed that adjusting the outlet angle can increase the flow rate. Hence,the results presented in this paper can contribute to the prototyping of a trochoid pump by reducing the cost associated with a trial-and-error design.

This study purports to verify managerial effectiveness of the integrated delivery system(IDS) of Japanese health care institutions through comparing the managerial performance between hospital groups providing with both acute and nursing care and those with acute care only. Data on the managerial performance of 697 hospitals providing with nursing care together and 819 hospitals providing with acute care only were collected from Japanese Central Social Insurance Medical Councils 2001, 2003, 2005, and were analyzed using mean comparison test(t-test) between the two groups. The results revealed that there were significant differences between the two groups in such indicators as ratio of material cost, labor cost, depreciation rate, total margin, operating margin, average number of outpatient per day, average revenue of an inpatient per day, total amount of labor cost, gross revenue per employee, and labor productivity. However, we could not find out any consistent evidence which support the effect of integrated delivery system on the hospital managerial performance. Further discussion was made on the limitation of the study and future research agenda relevant to the topic.

본 연구는 장애인 보호작업시설의 신규사업에 대한 사업의 경제적 타당성 및 효과를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 방법은 보건복지부의「장애인직업재활시설 신규사업지원 프로그램」에 선정된 나눔터를 대상으로 비용편익 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 자료는 신규사업지원금이 지급된 2003년 7월부터 신규사업이 본격적으로 실시된 시기인 2004년 12월까지 발생된 신규사업 관련 모든 구성요소들을 포함시켰다. 비용편익분석 결과 순편익과 편익비용비 분석에서 편익이 비용보다 큰 것으로 나타나 이신규사업은 사업의 경제적 타당성이 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 또한 화폐가치로 분석될 수는 없지만 의미 있는 여러 가지 무형의 편익들이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 정부의 적절한 경제적지원, 나눔터의 생산라인의 기계화와 기술력 축적에 대한 노력이 생산성과 임금 향상, 생산의 안정화와 같은 효과를 가져왔고, 보호작업시설의 사업적 기능이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 정부는 보호작업시설의 신규사업 지원을 지속적으로 추진하고 보호작업시설들은 사업적 기능을 보강하기 위한 합리적인 사업 추진 방법을 모색하도록 제언하는 바이다. The purpose of this study is to verify the economical validity of new business of a sheltered workshop, NaNumTeo through the cost-benefit analysis and analyze the effectiveness of it. This research extracts the ingredient of the costs related to the new business included the cost founded by Ministry of health and welfare for「New Business Program of Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities」, calculated the net benefit and benefit-cost ratio through the benefit of the new business. The data analysis included all the ingredients of the new business, which generated between the period of 2003/7 when the new business support funding was made and 2004/12 when the new business was actively operated. The economical validity of this new business is verified since the benefit is turned out to be better than cost in terms of both net benefit and benefit-cost ratio. The analysis shows that improvement of productivity and wage, and stabilization of production is brought by the reasonable economical support of government for sheltered workshops, and the effort of the facility which has attempted to change toward mechanized product line, accumulating of technology. More than that, there has been various intangible benefits which can not simply account monetary value. Therefore, the government should continuously maintain the support toward the new business of sheltered workshop and find reasonable business development method to strengthen the commercialization of sheltered workshop.
