Several types of supercapacitors have been developed for energy storage systems. Among them, the hybrid type has advantages such as a large capacitance per weight compared with the electric double-layer capacitator type. In this study, constant current charging and discharging tests were conducted for recently developed hybrid-type supercapacitors. Based on the experimental results, the capacitance and equivalent series resistance were obtained. The capacitance was larger than the designed capacitance at a low current but became small at a high current. In addition, the capacitance depended on the cell voltage. These results can be used to design an energy storage system.

For an ultra high precision stage a PZT actuator is used as an actuator in order to obtain nano meter resolution. However, such stage system has much uncertainty in modeling stage and actuator. The mechanical structure has many vibration mode and the PZT has hysteresis and creep phenomena. In this paper tracking performance for sinusoidal reference is enhanced by a controller which is designed based upon H infinity design method. A series of experiments were conducted and results were shown.
유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 원기둥형 물체의 자세 추정 방법

The cylindrical object are widely used as mechanical parts in the manufacturing process. In order to handling those objects using a robot or an automated machine automatically, the pose of the object must be known. The pose can be described by two rotation angles; one angle about the x axis and the other about the y axis. In the many previous researches these angles were obtained by the computationally intensive algorithm, that is, fitting the data as a polynomial and doing pseudo inverse. So that, this method required high performance microprocessor. In this paper in order to avoid complex computation, a new method based on a genetic algorithm is proposed and analyzed through a series of simulations. This algorithm utilized the geometry of the cylindrical shape. The simulation results show that this method find the pose angles very well in most cases, but the computation time is randomly changed because the genetic algorithm is basically one of the random search method.

Automotive industry is a major business area in this country and it becomes more and more important. In order to maintain high quality of vehicles, every parts should be inspected. Among them the inspection job of the knuckle bracket holes of the outer tube of shock-absorber has been done manually until now. So, it takes long time and every product can not be inspected. An automatized inspection system was proposed utilizing machine vision technology, which was composed of a slit beam laser, CCD camera, image processing computer, special jig and illuminating back lights. An algorithm which could process images of the laser and bracket holes, then gave the position, radius, roundness of the holes, was developed. This system was applied for the good and no good products and the performance was confirmed.
