Block system has been used to protect trains from occupying the same section of track at the same time so that only one train is permitted in each block at a time. Domestic driving regulations on the block system is divided into two classifications, such as regular block and substitute block. If it is impossible to use this regulation, the block applied method can be applied. However, domestic urban railway administrator has established his own operation rule within the regulation. Therefore, in order to assure continuous safety of train in operation, it is necessary to strengthen the regulation as can cope with the various block systems. In this study, domestic urban railway administration's own rules are examined and the appropriate driving regulation on the block system is proposed.

Constant load model is generally used for an electric train to perform the static analysis of AT feeding systems. In this model, the train will be considered as a constant load model when it drives or as a constant source model when it applies regenerative brake. However there must be some voltage constraints on the catenary in actual operations. These constraints are established for the reason of protecting the feeding facilities from excessive rise of regenerative braking voltage or guaranteeing the minimum traction power of train. In normal operating situation, the pantagraph voltage of the train should be maintained within these limits. Keeping these facts in minds, we suggest new methods of analyzing AT feeding systems using the constant power models with the conditions of voltage constraints. The simulation results from a sample system using the proposed method illustrate both the states of system variables and the supply-demand relation of power among the trains and the systems very clearly, so it is believed that the proposed method yields more accurate results than conventional methods do. The proposed methods are believed to contribute to the assessment of TCR-TSC for compensating reactive powers too.

Heights of a platform above the rail for the passenger train in the country are classified into two categories such as the low level (500mm; mainline) and the high level (1,135mm; metropolitan subway line) platforms. In order to operate similarly both a mainline railroad and a metropolitan subway line as the requisite door safety system it is necessary to develop the doorstep equipment of the rolling stock regardless of both the low and high level platforms. In this study performance requirements of doorstep equipments used for two types of platforms are examined on the supposition that the train only for the low level platform could stop in the both low and high level platforms.

갱웨이 벨로우즈는 관절형 고속철도차량 곡선주행시 객차 끝단부 사이에 다양한 변위차를 고려하여 갱웨이 프레임에 장착된 이중 주름구조 네오프렌 고무부품이다. 본 연구에서는 고속철도차량 갱웨이 프레임의 안전성 연구일환으로서, 3축 회전변위(롤링, 요잉, 피칭 변위차)조건 및 혼합모드(롤링+요잉)조건하의 갱웨이 벨로우즈의 구조해석 결과로부터, 리그 시험(피로시험)의 가속 조건을 제안하고자 한다. The fatigue failure of the bellows of the articulated type high speed train (HST) has a harmful effect on the riding comfort for the passengers with the increase of noise and ringing in the ears due to airtightness failure during pass through a long tunnel. In this study, to assure the safety of gangway bellows of the HST, non-linear analysis of the gangway bellows considering triaxial angular displacement(rolling /yawing/pitching) between the carriage end parts are performed. Moreover, from the results of non-linear analysis, the accelerated condition of the rig test is proposed.

국내 여객열차 전용 승강장은 높이에 따라 두가지 종류로서, 일반 간선열차에서 주로 사용하는 저상승강장과 수도권 전동차에서 주로 사용하는 고상승강장으로 구분된다. 중·고속 열차가 수도권 전철구간과 본선구간에서 혼용할 경우에 안전운전 및 승객편의를 함께 고려하기 위해서는 저상/고상 승강장에 상관없이 승하차할 수 있는 승강문 스텝장치가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 전철역사 및 일반 철도역사에서 모두 승하차가 가능한 저상/고상 승강장 겸용 승강문 스텝 개념설계(안)의 강도해석을 수행하고 이의 안전성을 검토하였다. The conventional SCADA being used in the electric railway has the basic functions of remote controlling and system monitoring. Since the SCADA lacks the functions essential to the fault prevention and the system recovery, operators must depend on their intuition and experience to considerable extent. Visually integrated information offered by PIS contributes to the fast system recovery and the state judgment of the power system, and makes a novice be adapted for the operation easily. In this paper, we have studied the various functions and its feasibility that can be offered by PIS.
