This study investigates fracture toughness of fiber reinforce lean concrete. Lean concrete base for multifunctional composite pavement system requires higher fracture toughness. Once a crack initiates higher fracture toughness will absorb greater energy and hence effectively control crack growth. ASTM C-1018 method was employed with Japanese yoke. Total of 7 different fiber variables were considered. Also 10% replacement of cement by fly ash was included as a variable. It was found that steel fiber was effective in increasing the fracture tougness.
