In this article, I will concentrate on illuminating John Calvin’s pastoral ministry toward economically marginalized refugees in Geneva. Above all, I will sketch a social environment of Geneva, in which the economic crisis resulted from the radical “influx” of poor Protestant refugees from France. Next, I will focus on how Calvin strove to deal with the urgent issues of social upheaval by proclaiming the Church’s communal role of economic responsibility for these problems. There are three crucial themes: 1) why he emphasized practical diaconal ministry to serve the poor in the communal sense, 2) what he specifically preached about the Sabbath day in the Decalogue for the purpose of protecting the human rights of economically marginalized people, and 3) how we can examine about Calvin’s social reformation from a theological viewpoint. Consequently, I will demonstrate that for the reformer, Calvin, the “spiritual” revelation of God in Christ must be concretely applied to the sociopolitical aspect of the human world. It is through the socioeconomic approach to Frenchman Calvin’s pastoral ministry toward the French refugees that we can grasp Calvin’s biblical thoughts of both religious and social reform at Geneva.
바르트의 삼위일체와 선택의 교리 ― 브루스 맥코믹의 수정주의적 해석에 관한 전통주의적 비평

Regarding scholarship on Karl Barth’theology of Trinity, this article critically examines Bruce McCormack’s Revisionist interpretation. McCormack argues that from eternity, God’s eternal will of election of humanity constitutes His divine being as the Triune God for us. A contribution of McCormack lies at the discovery of Barth’s own actualistic ontology that dynamically defines God’s being as the event of his act that is described at Church Dogmatics. However, McCormack’s Revisionist view needs to be critically examined from George Hunsinger’s Traditionalist perspective. Above all, Barth never explicitly says that God’s volitional act constitutes the divine being. While God’s being and act that Barth expresses is on the relationship of dynamic unity, they are definitely distinct from each other in the ontological sense. Rather, from the eternity, God as the Trinitarian being decides the election of grace in Christ as the Son eternal who will be incarnated. Therefore, from the Traditional standpoint, Barth confirms the Triune God’s ontological priority and the sovereignty of free love towards the creation. 본 논문은 칼 바르트의 삼위일체 신학에 대한 브루스 맥코믹의 수정주의적 해석을 비판적으로 고찰한다. 맥코믹은 영원 전에 인류를 선택하신영원한의지로말미암아하나님이우리를위한내재적삼위일체로서신적 존재를 확립하였다고 주장한다. 이러한 의견은 교회 교의학에서하나님의존재를행위의사건으로묘사한바르트특유의현실주의적존재론(Actualistic Ontology)의 역동적 차원을 발견했다는 점에서 의미가있다. 그러나, 그의 수정주의적견해는 조지헌싱어의 전통주의적 입장에서 비판적으로 고찰되어야 한다. 우선 바르트는 하나님의 영원한 선택의의지와신적결단이삼위일체론적존재를확립하였다고명시적으로주장한바가없다. 바르트가말하는하나님의존재와행위는, 서로하나됨의역동적관계성을가지고있지만, 상호간에존재론적으로명확히 구분되어있다. 오히려, 영원 전부터 삼위일체론적 존재이신하나님은, 영원한 성자로서 성육신하실 그리스도 안에서 은총의 선택을 결정하였다. 따라서, 바르트는 전통주의적입장에서 하나님의인류선택사건과관련된영원한삼위일체하나님의존재론적선행됨과피조세계를향한자유로운사랑의주권을확증하고있다.

Present techniques in the bio-recognition area are used in a bariety of the security devices and the individual identification systems. These make use of unchangeability things, such as a iris, a finger-print, a back of the hand, a vein, a length of between-joints of a body, and so forth. In here, we use a number of the finger print recognition method in the bio-recognition area because of acceptances, reliances, and conveniences. And finger-print recognition systems have merits that doesn't rejectable sentiment. In this paper, total process successively consists of the preprocess(both binary and thinning) of finger-print obtained, and the matching process. To acquire high matching ratio, the preprocess is very important and necessary step. To extract precisely minimize error. operating method of both series and parallel is adopted and then verified. To enhance matching ratio, we only utilized bifurcation without ridge ending and end point of a finger-print, on the process of finger-print matching. The matching process is divided into two steps. In the first, distance between each minutiae for criterion is calculated and compared. In the second, rotation angle of each other minutiae faced is searched. And next, using number of minutiae for corresponding rotation angle, we had matched finger-print.

It is meaningful that the Joint Declaration contributes to the ecumenical movement between Roman Catholics and the Lutheran Church, for they come to share the common truth of the gospel that “Christ himself is our righteousness.” Catholics admit that justification by faith alone is the most primary article among all Christian doctrines, whereas Lutherans concede that justification is inseparable from the renewal of believers as the work of the Triune God. On a literal level, it is by using the Trinitarian language that Lutherans’ forensic and existential view of justification and Roman Catholics’ opinion of the doctrine as process based on our merit and infused grace in us are merged into the statement. Nonetheless, on the level of theological interpretation, the statement remains uncompromised as to whether it is in line with Christ-centered justification in the view of the Reformation, or implicitly follows merit-based soteriology in the view of Catholicism. Consequently, I would like to raise a question that if Karl Barth were alive, how he would respond to the Joint Declaration? In this paper, I will examine the theological relevance of the Joint Declaration from the standpoint of Barth’s doctrine of justification. Barth would acknowledge the ecumenical value of the Joint Declaration. However, Barth would criticize that the statement confounds the ontological order between participation in Christ and justification. Moreover, the Joint Declaration vaguely focuses on our justification in the present tense, without temporal qualification in eschatology. Furthermore, for Barth, the statement does not fully set forth the cultic and dialectical aspect of Pauline justification.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of Dong-si acupuncture therapy and General acupuncture therapy for the patients with acute ankle sprain. Methods : This study has been carried out for 60 cases of ankle sprain patients who have visited Dong-Seo Oriental medical Hospital from May 1, 2002 to September 30, 2002. We have treated 30 cases of them by Dong-si acupuncture therapy and the other 30 cases by General acupuncture therapy. And we have compared those two group. Results : 1. There was no significant difference at the treatment period and the number of treatment times in comparing two groups. 2. The number of treatment times for good effect is that : Dong-si took $1.57{\pm}0.85$ times and General acupuncture therapy took $2.15{\pm}0.96$ times. And we have found that the effect of Dong-si acupuncture therapy is faster than the other.

Paraganglioma is an uncommon and slowly-growing benign neuro-endocrine tumor originating from the extra-adrenal paraganglia. The most common site of head and neck paraganglioma is the carotid body. Paraganglioma of thyroid gland is a rare disease, and is hard to diagnose preoperatively since the pathologic features are similar to thyroid neoplasm, especially to medullary carcinoma. Occasionally, multiple paragangliomas can be found in the body. To our knowledge, there are two cases of synchronous carotid body tumor with thyroid paraganglioma that have been reported to date. We report a case of 34-year-old female with carotid body paraganglioma synchronous with intra-thyroid paragangloma, which was misdiagnosed as papillary thyroid carcinoma in the preoperative evaluation. After the tumors were successfully excised, there were no signs of complications and the patient has survived the 2-year-follow-up period without recurrence.
