        염 및 변성제가 카탈라아제의 열응고에 미치는 효과를 실험한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 염의 첨가는 카탈라아제의 열응고를 촉진시킨다. 2. 염의 종류별 효과는 단백질의 이액순열을 따른다. 3. 구아니딘염산은 염과 유사한 효과를 보인다. 4. SDS 및 urea는 열응고를 억제시킨다. 5. 단백질의 열응고 과정은 소수성결합과 밀접한 연관이 있을 것으로 추정된다. Thermal coagulation of catalase was investigated with regard to the effects of salts and denaturants. The formation of thermal coagulum of catalase was enhanced by the addition of salts, and the effect of salts followed the lyotropic series. Guanidine hydrochloride enhanced the coagulum formation in a manner similar to that of salts. Sodium dodecyl sulfate and urea suppressed the thermal coagulation. The mechanism of thermal coagulation can be surmised from the standpoint of hydrophobic interaction between nonpolar amino acid residues.

      • 아데닌과 디에톡시메틸 아세이트의 반응에 대하여

        In order to obtain 6-(ethoxymethyleneamino) purine, which is a useful intermediate for the synthesis of 6-substituted aminopurine, the reaction of adenine with diethoxymethyl acetate was attempted. The product was analyzed by thin layer chromatography and it was found that the product was apt to be converted to side products slowly. Separation of the product was carried out by silica gel column chromatography. By the reason of substitution with methanol which is used as chromatographic solvent, 6-(methoxymethyleneamino) purine was obtained. The product was identified by FT-NMR, UV, and IR Spectroscopic studies, and then it was found that the product was composed of syn-and anti-isomers as a mixture.

      • Synthesis of meso-Tetraphenyl-21,23-dioxaporphyrin

        Porphyrin의 중심의 질소원자 중에서 두 개를 산소원자로 치환시킨 tetraphenly-21, 23-dioxaporphyrin을 합성하였다. AlCl₃ 촉매하에서 benzene을 Friedel-Graft furoylation 시켜 2-benzoylfuran을 얻었고, 계속하여 SnCl₄ 촉매하에서 benzoylation에 시켜 2, 5-dibenzoylfuran을 얻었다. 이것을 NaBH₄로 환원시키면 dioxaporphyrin의 합성에서 가장 중요한 중간체인 2, 5-bis(phenylhydroxymethyl)furan이 얻어진다. 산촉매하에서 pyrrole과 축합시키고, 계속하여 산화시켰더니 tetraphenyl-21, 23-dioxaporphyrin이 얻어졌다.

        Electrochemical Characteristics of Water-Soluble Phosphate-Functionalized Naphthalene- and Perylene-Bisimides and Their Zirconium Bisphosphate Multilayers on ITO Electrode

        N,N’-bis(ethyldihydrogen phosphate)-1,4,5,8-naphthalene bis(dicarboximide) (EPNI) and N,N’-bis(ethyldihydrogen phosphate)-3,4,9,10-perylene bis(dicarboximide) (EPPI) and their zirconium bisphosphate multilayers (Zr-EPNI and Zr-EPPI), that had been briefly reported by us, were further investigated in terms of their electrochemical properties. EPNI in aqueous solution showed typical two reversible reductions at ITO electrode but the reductions were strongly dependent on solution pH while EPPI showed only an irreversible reduction. The single and mixed multilayers of Zr-EPNI and Zr-EPPI were well constructed on ITO electrode by the alternate adsorptions of zirconium ion and the bisimides. While Zr-EPNI multilayer on ITO electrode showed single broad reversible reduction with E1/2 = −0.68 V, Zr-EPPI gave two separated reductions at E1/2 = −0.54 and −0.81 V vs SCE, quite differently from the solution properties. The average layer densities of the multilayers were estimated as 1.5×10−10 and 2.3×10−10 mol/cm2 for Zr-EPNI and Zr-EPPI, respectively. Both the monolayers of Zr-EPNI and Zr-EPPI could not completely block the electron transfer between Fe(CN)6 3− in solution and ITO electrode but 3−5 layers of Zr-EPNI and Zr- EPPI could block it completely and mediated the one-way electron transfer at the potential shifted to their reduction potentials. When the monolayer of zirconium 1,10-decanediylbisphosphonate (Zr-DBP) was used as a sublayer of Zr-EPNI and Zr-EPPI layers, the mediated electron transfer became prominent without any direct electron transfer.

        DO3가 첨가된 poly(methyl methacrylate)에서 광유도비등방성의 동역학

        Optical anisotropy was produced by using a linearly polarized pump beam in poly (methyl methacrylate) doped with Disperse Orange 3 (DO3). The dynamics of photoinduced anisotropy was studied by measuring the change in anisotropic absorption and comparing it to the change in isotropic absorption induced by using a circularly polarized pump beam. The temporal evolution of the anisotropic absorption was monitored under irradiation at 477 nm. Photo-isomerization plays a leading role in the isotropic absorption change during the early time evolution, and the angular hole burning and the angular redistribution induces an anisotropic absorption change in the pumping process. A polarized pump beam causes the accumulation of trans isomers in the perpendicular direction and cis isomers in the parallel direction over time. The relaxation process is governed by thermal isomerization at the initial time and by the rotational diffusion of trans isomers and cis isomers at later times. DO3(Disperse Orange 3)를 첨가한 poly(methyl methacrylate) 박막에 선편광된 빛을 쪼여 비등방성을 유도하였다. 비등방적 흡광도의 변화와 원편광된 빛으로 여기된 등방적 흡광도 변화를 비교하여 비등방성의 동역학을 분석하였다. 비등방적 흡광도의 시간적 거동은 파장 477 nm에서 측정되었다. 펌프광을쪼이는 초기에는 광이성질화의 과정이 등방적 흡광도변화를 주도하고 각홀버닝(angular hole burning)과각재분포(angular redistribution)가 잇달아 비등방성을 유도한다. 선편광된 빛이 직각방향으로 트랜스이성체를 축적하고 평행방향으로는 시스 이성체를 축적한다. 이완과정은 초기에는 열적 역이성질화가나타나고 점차 트랜스 이성체와 시스 이성체의 회전분산효과가 나타난다.

        해양생물 체내 잔류 미세플라스틱 조사

        Microplastic pollution in the marine ecosystem has been emerged as a global issue. In this study, we investigated theabundance of microplastics from clam Meretrix lusoria, blood arkshell Scapharca broughtonii, and warty sea squirtStyela clava obtained from a local market in Busan, Korea. The marine organisms were digested in 10% KOH, andwere incubated at 40˚C and 150 rpm, for 7 days. The digest was filtered through standard sieve (5 mm, 1 mm, 300μm, and 100 μm), and mciroplastics were identified using a light microscope and microFT-IR. The abundance ofmicroplastics of clam, blood arkshell, warty sea squirt was 0.08 items/g, 0.05 items/g, and 0.12 items/g, respectively. The predominant microplastic size was in the range of 100-300 μm, occupying 48%, and the predominant type wasfiber. The composition of microplastics was mostly rayon, semi-synthetic cellulosic material and polyester, which aremain component of fabric and textile. We strongly believe that this preliminary work may provide useful informationfor the establishment of the standardized analysis method of microplastics ingested by marine organisms.
