을사조약 이후 대한제국 집권세력의 정세인식과 대응방안

        서영희(Suh Young-Hee) 한국역사연구회 2007 역사와 현실 Vol.- No.66

There is little proof about which power groups supported the resistance of Emperor Go-jong against the plunge of the state power by Japanese imperialism, and how it was realized. There is also little illumination about how the bureaucracy and Confucian scholars, which were of noble birth and had often uncomfortable relationships with the imperial power, understood the 1905 Convention, and which countermeasures they took. There were diverse and confusing understandings and countermeasures against the Eulsa Agreement among people in those days. There were mainly claims about national decay and sorrowful indignation, which made an appeal to national susceptibility. There were also other claims, which resorted to suicide, uprising of an army in the cause of justice, intervention of the world powers, and filing of lawsuit. It was remarkable that there was a gap of understanding of the situation among the Emperor, the Royalists, and the Cabinet in the government. The paper will examine how Emperor Go-jong, the Royalists, and the bureaucrats understood the situation after the 1905 Convention, and how each group took countermeasures since the Russo-Japanes War. It will focus on how they understood the effects of the 1905 Convention, and the status of the international law for the Protectorate treaty of Japan in 1905. Countermeasures of Emperor Go-jong and the Royalists, which lead to the abdication of Emperor Go-jong after the dispatch of special envoy to the Hague, were related with diplomatic settlement. The bureaucracy, whose influences were shrinked by the reinforcement of the imperial power, and which was dissatisfied with the despotism of the Royalists, advocated an alliance between the Great Han Empire and Japan, and committed suicide to make a protest against the 1905 Convention. However, most of bureaucrats and Confucian scholars, except some high-ranking officials, came close to Emperor Go-jong’s understanding of the situation. The paper will clarify whether there was a common way of thinking among Emperor Go-jong, the Royalists, and the bureaucracy.

『국민신보』를 통해 본 일진회의 합방론과 합방정국의 동향

        서영희(Suh Young-hee) 한국역사연구회 2008 역사와 현실 Vol.- No.69

This study examines the political motives of the Ilchinhoe's pro-Japanese activities in the period of the Japanese annexation of Korea. Because most studies got stuck into the dichotomy between pro-Japanese and anti-Japanese sentiment, there were no sincere efforts to scrutinize inherent backgrounds of pro-Japanese activities for Japanophile. The political desires of the political groups out of office, which were smothered by the imperial power, erupted after the disbandment of the Independent Club in the Residency-General period. Many personalities participated in numerous Enlightenment groups and societies, which increased with rapidity, intended to take part in the reins of government and reorganize the political structure. The Ilchinhoe had more members than any other Enlightenment groups, and claimed to stand for political organization. While Taehan-Hyophoe standed for a political patty and was a group of political elites, which was comprised of few intellectuals, the Ilchinhoe was a group of the middle and lower class, and was called a group of pro-Japanese ruffians. The petition to Japanese annexation of Korea was their emotional outlet to participate in the politics, and the doctrine of political annexation was proposed as an idea to take part in the reins of government after the annexation. The doctrine of political annexation advocated that the rights of diplomacy was entrusted to Japan, the Imperial Household was maintained, and the polity of a nation was governed by the Cabinet and the National Assembly. This study examined the theory of Annexation of the Ilchinhoe in the light of the articles in Gungmin Sinbo, which was a organ of the Ilchinhoe.

서영희 청주대학교 학술연구소 2007 淸大學術論集 Vol.9 No.-

Giselle is a romantic ballet which choreographed by Théophile Gautier in 1841. France had passed into revolutionary age of repetitive turbulence at that time. Gautier had tried to overcome the harsh reality into story of dreamwork through Giselle. A Swedish, Mats Ek had in mind to show his subject and characterizes some personalities newly through a reinterpretation of Giselle after 150 years. Dance is no more a Dream or a Phantom. He had reproduced a certain conflict derived from love and betrayal in contemporary social, political, cultural complex world as particular human relations in the class. He shows that how closely connected our lives to our society, and our arts represented into such society even though we didn't designate for a certain way. A true love is a precious and beautiful whatsoever in past or present time as well. 150 years ago, Giselle had committed a Suicide because of her lover's betrayal. And her soul rescue a man's life after death of herself. Giselle had forgiven Albrecht and refused then 150 years after. This metaphors for equivalence between male and female, the freedom of Women. Ek had punished as like in reward for such betrayal by a certain expression of pure love of Giselle.

      • 後期現代舞踊思潮硏究

徐映姬 청주대학교 예술문화연구소 1988 淸藝論叢 Vol.2 No.-

How can we trace out changing vicissitudes of artistic currents in modern dance since the death of Isadora Duncan? And how can we properly reperiodize the plural process of developments in modern dance history? What are the substantial meanings of so-called 'post-modern dance'? This thesis focuses on to elucidate the artistic currents and meanings of post-modern dance. At first, this work begins at reperiodization and reconsiderations on the existed studies of western modern dance history. Secondly on the developmental process of post-modern dance and the third generation's choreographic maintenances. Thirdly on the interpretative limits and hermeneutic critics to post-modern dance. Major finding as results are as follows; 1. Artistic paradigms of modern dance has drastically changed from 1960s. 2. Artistic meanings of modern dance changes from primitive naturalism to methodological individualism. 3. Third generation's choreographers forces on to express symbolic protests and experimental trials in order to transform conservative meanings. 4. Major epistemological foundations of post-modern dance based on pre-generation's accumulative works. Their maintenances manifests not absolute autonomy of artist but artistic connections between interdisciplinary areas and paradigmatic continuations. 5. Performing patterns and characteristics of post-modern dance raises the problems of popularizing limits and communicative predicaments. These findings suggests for further researches from now on.

      • 表現의 舞踊美學

        徐映姬 淸州大學校 1984 論文集 Vol.17 No.2

Expression of emotion has been a main thesis and object of the study on 'Art Expression'. This study focused at the existed concepts of expression, analytical specificity and characteristics on expression, meanings and semantical differences between 'actions' and 'movements', and the problems of 'aesthetic(beauty) achievement'. It is important that the understanding of cognitive processes of concept formation on 'actions' and 'movement' above all things. Specifically, the life world of dances (Tanz Lebenswelt) were constituted by variable actions and movements. Dance has its own notifiable signs and images through sincere performances. 'Pure dances' were not constructed and determined by mere 'acts', but a sequential units of 'movements' in general. Such typology of dance can be cognized and has understandable meaning. The body movements in dramatic artworks could not expresses exact actions. Body movements works in dramatic artwork important ways. But a movement expresses not automatically same as an action, but has its own concrete or symbolic meaning. The story-telling dances and movements expresses actions, and movement relates to action. But, in fact, it could not be distinguished for actions and movements are cognizable and phenomenological ones. It is only possible for conceptual dimensions. Recognition of a given movement in dance merely expresses a certain specific action, and the epistemological foundation of movement demands for explicit intelligence. These factors are major constituents for Art-formation. Important aesthetic achievement determined at the time of right integration of the above factors. And artwork has its identity and purity at this time also. The action what is emerged through 'my' expression will be influenced the formation of 'my-self' ('Ich-ness'). And then, what is making to 'me' will be developed by the fabrics of which cognizer's continual existence and experiences.

      • Bronislava Nijinska의 Les Noces 작품분석

서영희 청주대학교 학술연구소 2005 淸大學術論集 Vol.5 No.-

An epochmaking choreographer, Bronislava Nijinska(1891-1972) was born at Minsk in Russia. She was a dancer and dance teacher as well. Nijinska was last offspring between Eleonora Bereda and Thomas Nijinsky, and entered to Royal Ballet School in Saint Petersberg at 1900. Enrio Cecchetti, Victor Gillert, Michel Fokine, Klavdia Kulichevskaya were major tutors in there. She'd become ballet dancer in Mariinskii Teatr after graduation in 1908. She went to Ballet Russe led by Sergey Pavlovich Diaghilev in 1911 leaving from Mariinskii, and performed major role with her elder brother Nijinsky at Fokine's work until 1913. Nijinska had choreographed almost 70 works over after debut solo, La Tabatiere in 1915 harmonized with the music of Anatol Liadov at Narodni Dom, Saint Petersberg. She was under deeply influenced of Fokine and Petipa, but also eagerly tried to find out of her own expression and movement as well. She was finally settled down at Hollywood in California. This work was performed for the first time by Ballet Russe in 14th of June, 1923 at Paris with the chorus of Stravinsky and solo music in the mood of grand success. Some main updated version of her works were variously performed by Bejart Company in 1962, American Ballet Theater of Jerome Robinson in 1965, Lar Lubovich in 1976, Netherlands Dance Theater of Jifi Kylian in 1982 (Svadebka) etc. Nijinska's genre of Les Noces had constructed and stimulated to develop its own style as an early modem ballet which mainly influenced by reformative Petipa and Fokine. It contains the main theme on conformable Bride in universal form and tradition with the birth of her intrinsic meaning about Les Noces. Therefore, she was a pioneer as Modernist who'd sincerely felt and precisely expressed of her own Subjectivity into the style of dance with how contradictory and sacrificial for the experiences of proletariat revolution at that time. This article focuses on the analysis of very this work for concrete understanding and scientific consideration in her important movement with closing pursuit.
