        P-TECH과정 성과분석 및 효율적 운영 방안 연구 : (한국폴리텍대학 사례 중심)

        The industry-academic- integrated apprenticeship school project, which is a high school-level work based learning, was expanded to 198 schools in 2017, and the number of trained graduates was expected to increase rapidly to 2,500 peoples in 60 schools in 2018 and 7,000 peoples in 200 schools after 2019. Therefore, College-level work based learning was demanded after High school-level work based learning. The government has developed working model of The Pathways in Technical Education Convergent High-Technology(P-TECH) which apprentices participate in training program for up to two years by going back and forth between training center in college that was recommended by a company and theirs company after graduated apprenticeship school in high school. In 2017, The P-TECH course was firstly piloted in 6 campuses and 8 departments of Korea Polytechnic College. Through the government’s continuous policy to expand the P-TECH course, Korea Polytechnics are running currently 20 campuses and 28 departments in 2021. In particular, the employment rate of graduates shows an average of 88.9%, which is higher than general degree course.

        ITGB2 유전자 다형성과 결핵 사이의 연관성 연구

        결핵은 본질적으로 MTB에 의해 발생하는 감염성 질환이지만 발병의 과정에는 숙주의 면역계와 연관성 있는 하는 유전자가 관여한다. ITGB2 유전자는 인테그린 beta 2 chain인 CD18 단백질을 암호화 하고 있는 유전자로 염색체 21번에 존재하고 있다. 인테그린 beat 2 chain은 백혈구에서 발현하는 인테그린으로 백혈구의 성숙 및 부착에 매우 중요한 역할을 수행하는 단백질이다. ITGB2는 결핵 발병에서 MTB의 탐식과 백혈구의 집합에도 중요한 역할을 수행한다고 알려졌다. 따라서 이번 연구는 한국인의 유전체 데이터를 활용하여 결핵 발생 환자들과 정상 대조군 사이에서 ITGB2의 유전적 다형성의 빈도에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 존재하는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과 10개의 SNP에서 유의한 상관관계를 확인할 수 있었다. 가장 유의성 있는 SNP는 rs113421921 였다 (OR=0.69, CI: 0.53~0.90, $P=5.8{\times}10^{-3}$). 또한 rs173098의 경우는 전사 보조인자인 p300이 결합할 가능성이 있는 염기서열이 존재하여 유전적 다형성에 따라 ITGB2 유전자 발현에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 결핵의 발병 기전이 백혈구 집합이나 부착과 같은 숙주의 면역 기능과 관련된 다양한 유전적 요인에 의해 영향을 받을 수 있음을 시사한다. 이 연구결과는 결핵의 발병에 숙주 면역계의 유전자들이 영향을 줄 수 있다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 결과들을 통해 MTB 감염에 대해 각 사람들 별로 감염의 진행과정과 결과에 차이를 가져다 주는 유전적 배경에 대한 이해에 기반을 제공할 것으로 기대한다. Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB), but the genes associated with the host immune system can be attributed to the development of TB. The ITGB2 gene encodes the integrin beta 2 chain CD18 protein and is present on chromosome 21. The integrin beta 2 chain is an integrin expressed in leukocytes and plays a very important role in leukocyte maturation and attachment. ITGB2 plays an important role in the phagocytosis of MTB and the aggregation of leukocytes in MTB infections. This study examined the genetic polymorphisms of the ITGB2 gene between the TB case and normal control using Korean genomic and epidemiologic data. As a result, a statistically significant correlation was confirmed in 10 SNPs. The most significant SNP was rs113421921 (OR=0.69, CI: 0.53~0.90, $P=5.8{\times}10^{-3}$). In addition, rs173098, one of the significant 10 SNPs, is possibly located in a binding motif with the transcription factor cofactor p300, and can affect ITGB2 gene expression. These findings suggest that the pathogenesis of TB may be influenced by a range of genetic factors related to the immune function of the host, e.g., the reactions associated with the recruitment and attachment of leukocytes. The results of this study could be used to predict the infection control for tuberculosis in a patient-tailored manner.

        In this study, we evaluated complex media with influent sewage water (ISW) to isolate novel taxa of bacteria. It was possible to cultivate 13 genera using the complex media with ISW. Additionally, more diverse genera were identified at 37°C than at 25°C, using the complex media with ISW. Total 12 strains of 179 bacterial isolates were shared less than 97% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities with any known species. These isolates could be assigned to genera Tessaracoccus, Paracoccus, or Candidimonas (or Paralcaligenes).

        중국과 한국여성에서 나이에 따른 인유두종바이러스의 유병률과 분포

        Cervical cancer is the third most common cancer among women worldwide. Cervical cancer is significantly associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. The prevalence of HPV infection is influenced by geography, immune status, sexual history and genetic factors. For example, geographically, HPV prevalence varies from 1.5% to 39%. However, little is known about the relationship between HPV prevalence and age. An analysis of HPV prevalence by age will help determine when high-risk groups are exposed to HPV. Such an analysis could also demonstrate a correlation between specific HPV genotypes and age. In addition, the analysis might clarify the optimum age for using vaccines. In this study, HPV prevalence and genotype distribution among Korean and Chinese women are analyzed by age. The REBA HPV-IDⓡ assay (YD diagnostics, Yong-in, Republic of Korea) was used for detecting HPV genotypes in uterine cervical liquid-based cytology samples from 533 women from Korea and 324 from East China (Western Shandong province. Women with severe dysplasia such as SCC (Squamous cell carcinoma) and HSIL (High-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion) groups were primarily in their 40s and 50s, whereas women with mild and moderate dysplasia (ASCUS and LSIL groups) were primarily in their 30s and 40s. Women with HPV genotype 16 and 18 infections were primarily in their 40s. The results suggest that HPV infection is associated with certain age groups in the Korean population.

      • 수냉식 응축기를 적용한 자동차 에어컨 시스템에 관한 실험적 연구

        The present study investigated vehicle air conditioning system applied water cooled condenser using calorimeter. Air conditioning system of present study was composed of condenser, compressor, evaporator and expansion valve. To evaluate water cooled condenser, lower temperature radiator and electric water pump were added. First, the present study presented the performance of air conditioning system applied water cooled condenser by comparing traditional air conditioning system applied air cooled condenser. For air conditioning performance, water cooled condenser system showed 4~9% lower than air cooled condenser system. Secondly, the effect of water cooled condenser size, lower temperature radiator size, mass flow rate of low temperature radiator and face air velocity on performance air conditioning system was presented. It was shown the effect of water cooled condenser size and mass flow rate of lower temperature radiator was small.

        2016년 한국 경기도의 3월 황사기간 동안 부유세균 군집과 다양성에 대한 메타지노믹 분석

        Objective: Bacterial abundance and community compositions have been examined in Asian dust events, clarifying their impacts on public health. This study aims to determine the bacterial community compositions and viable bacteria in Asian dust particles in the Asian dust or non-Asian dust event of March 2016. Methods: The dust samples were collected using the high volume air sampler or high volume cascade impactor, and bacterial 16S rRNA genes were amplified using PCR, followed by pyrosequencing. Bacterial diversity index, richness estimate and community composition in the particles were analyzed from the sequencing data using Mothur software. Results: The results showed that the diversity and richness during Asian dust events were higher than them in non-Asian dust events. The total bacterial community analysis showed that at the phylum Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria and Firmicutes were the most dominant of Asian dust events and non-Asian dust events. In addition, the bacterial colony counts were higher during Asian dust event, comparing with non-Asian dust event. Conclusions: This study showed that bacterial community and richness of Asian dust samples was more complex and higher than non-Asian dust samples in Gyeonggi-do, Korea, which could affect public health and environment. Thus, the continuous monitoring of Asian dust could be an alternative for managing airborne bacteria.
