Spatially distributed characteristic of longevity regions analysed using GIS tools. Fundamental factors for long life are categorized into natural conditions and artificial conditions. Degree of longevity is defined and used as a key parameter in analyzing longevity region. It is visually shown that aging areas are moving with time and variances of social and economic status. It is concluded that the degree of longevity is increased with improving living quality because of improvement of economic activities and living environment. However, longevity regions of recent times have slightly reversed tendency against urban areas in the manner of moving toward areas where social and economical activities are relatively weaker.

Stress Path Search Model of Evolutionary Structural Successive Optimization (SPSMESO) using Triangular Irregular Network(TIN) was developed for improving over burden at initial design of ESO and strict stress direction of strut-and-tie model and truss model. TIN was applied for discretizing structures in flexible stress path and segments of TIN was analyzed as one-dimensional line element for calculating stress. Finally, stress path was searched using ESO algorithm. SPSMESO was efficient to express the direction of stress for 2D structure and time saving.
카툰메이커 활용 과정 중심 쓰기 활동이 초등학생 쓰기 능력 및 태도에 미치는 영향

This study aims to examine the effects of process-oriented writing instruction using a cartoon maker on the students’ writing skill and their affective domain. The two groups of 5th graders participated in different mode of process-oriented writing activities for 8 weeks. The experimental group used Classting and the cartoon maker tool whereas the control group engaged in a pencil and paper based activity. The result reveals that the instruction did not have impacts on students’ overall writing skill development, but the experimental group had more interests in writing after the treatment. It was also found from the interview with the experimental group that they were pretty satisfied with the web based writing activity, particularly exchanging feedback with their peers and creating their own cartoon while engaging in writing activities. The result also indicated that students’ computer skill and positive support from their peers are critical elements for the success of the activity. In particular, it was found that positive peer feedback motivated the students to participate more actively in the task. Further study is suggested to investigate how the aspects of peer feedback influence on the development of students’ writing skill and their participation in writing activities.

This validation study was performed to introduce and set up the in vitro micronucleus test, as an alternative to the existing chromosome aberration test, in the test facilities in Korea, and to establish the competence of each facility to perform the in vitro micronucleus test independently. The 10 coded substances, including 6 positive and 4 negative in genotoxicity assay, were tested. Six facilities were divided into two subgroups, A and B. Three coded positive compounds and two negative compounds were sent to each test facility. The compounds were tested according to the facility`s GLP system. In group A, positive results were obtained from testing of the three positive compounds, and negative results were obtained from testing of the two negative compounds in all three facilities. In group B, positive results were also obtained from testing of the three positive compounds, and negative results were obtained from testing of the two negative compounds in all three facilities. For the Urethane, an in vitro equivocal compound tested by group B, negative results were obtained. These results suggested that the compound may be effectively activated only in in vivo environment. The results show that the six test facilities are capable of performing the in vitro micronucleus test independently and producing consistent results.
