Drawing on a growing body of research which supports the validity of incorporating fictional representation of translation into its theorization, this study aims to discuss the topic of cultural interpretation and court interpretation as represented in Suki Kim’s The interpreter. The two research topics discussed in this study are: (1) How Korean immigrant family interpret the cultural Other, as this family is depicted as people who have lost their language; (2) How strict adherence to work ethics required for court interpreters is implemented by Suzy, court interpreter. Suzy is metaphorically represented as a filter, shadow, mathematician, all of which point to the work ethics of accuracy, fidelity, neutrality, and confidentiality. Nevertheless, in settings marked by conflict and asymmetry, these values present an ethical dilemma for Suzy. This study suggests a further research into the topics of interpreter identity crisis and role conflicts in institutional settings.
에스닉 레스토랑 이용객의 푸드네오포비아 성향이 레스토랑 이미지 및 고객 만족과 충성도에 미치는 영향

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of food neophobia on restaurant image, customer satisfaction, and loyalty in ethnic restaurants. A self-administered survey for data collection 581 customers who visited an ethnic restaurant in August, 2015. Statistical analyses included descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis for SPSS 21.0. The finding of the study indicated that the differences of food neophobia score in demographic characteristics showed significant differences by age, occupation, dining-out frequency, and source of dining-out information, not by gender. The mean value of food neophilic group was significantly higher than food neophobic group in all items of restaurant image, overall satisfaction and customer loyalty. The regression analysis showed that tangible aspect, price aspect, and food aspect of restaurant image had positive effects on overall satisfaction and customer loyalty however employee service showed different result by groups. The finding of the study offer marketing strategies for ethnic restaurants to induce customer revisit.
2-Amino-1-cyclopentene-1-dithiocarboxylate 유도체들의 전극 반응메카니즘

N-methyl-2-amino-l-cyclopentene-l-dithiocarboxylic acid $(N-CH_3 acdc)$ 와 2-amino-l-cyclopentene-l-dithiomethyl ester $(S-CH_3 acdc)$의 전기화학적 거동을 직류폴라로그래피, 순환전압전류법 및 조절전위 전기량법을 사용하여 dimethylformamide(DMF) 용매 중에서 조사하였다. $N-CH_3$ acdc의 이합체는 + 0.98 V에서 2전자 산화반응을 거쳐 s가 한 원자 유리된 다섯 원자 고리를 형성하는 전극반응이 일어남을 알았다. 그러나, $S-CH_3 acdc의 경우에 있어서는 N-CH_3 acdc화합물과는 달리 다섯원자 고리를 형성하지 않았으므로 N-CH_3$ acdc와는 다른 전극반응을 일으킴을 확인하였다. The electrochemical behavior of N-methyl-2-amino-l-cyclopentene-l-dithiocarboxylic acid $(N-CH_3 acdc) and 2-amino-l-cyclopentene-l-dithiomethyl ester (S-CH_3 acdc) in DMF have been investigated by the use of polarography, cyclic voltammetry and coulometry. The dimer of N-CH_3 acdc is further oxidized at +0.98 V via 2-electron process to produce free sulfur atom and cyclization product. The ring formation between two dithio group occurs along with the elimination of one sulfur atom. The elimination of sulfur atom occurs via two electron oxidation process at + 0.98 V vs. Ag/AgCl electrode. However, the cyclization does not occur in the S-CH_3$ acdc.
