The purpose of this study was to compare the carry distances of different brand 16 golf balls. These 16 different brand balls are Titleist Pro V1, Titleist Pro V1x, Taylormade TP Red, Nike ONE Tour, Callaway Tour iX, Bridgestone Tourstage X01B+, Bridgestone Tourstage X01G+, Bridgestone Tourstage X01R+, Srixon Z-Star X and domestic golf balls 7. The balls are impacted by the Taylormade R9(2009 type) driver powered by the swing robot iron Byron. The total 160 balls of the different brand 16 balls are tested. The head speed of driver by robot machine was fixed at 98±1.5mph. But because of changing of head speed at every time, the head speed must be normalized at 100mph for convenience. The angle of head face was calibrated for the smash factor 1.48 at every time. The carry distance difference of each ball is in the range of ±4 yards. The carry distance difference of same brand ball is in the range of ±2 yards.

The cause of detonations in the direct synthesis of CdSe and Other Ⅱ-Ⅵ compounds from the elemente has been shown to be due to the formation of insoluble passivating layers around the reactans. The research of non-detonative synthesis of CdSe at low temperature have been presented and the manufacturing processes of the high vacuum system and the diagram of the low cost temperature controller have been shown for the non-detonative Cadmium-Selenium compounds.

The purpose of this study is to develop the 3-dimensional(3D) trajectory of golf ball impacted by the various club head speed. The prediction of golf ball trajectory is very difficult for the air turbulence during the golf ball flight. This golf ball experiences the dragging force, lifting force and gravitational force(weight) during the flight in the air. These forces control the flight motion or trajectory of golf ball, these forces also determine the carry distance and run distance of golf ball. The developed KH Golf Profiler is examined by the very large data of PGA and LPGA measured by the golf ball radar Trackman during the last 4 years, the KH Golf Profiler has shown less than 3% differences compared with the PDA and LPGA data for 11~12 golf clubs.

The purpose of this study was to measure the smash coefficients of ratio between head speed and ball speed balls. The measured smash coefficients of 11 clubs(wood 1, 3, 5, 7 and iron 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11) are compared with the theoretical data. The 11 clubs smash coefficients of this experimental data are agreed in range of 2% with the theoretical calculated by the golf ball radar Trackman. The smash coefficients difference between the theoretical and measured data have shown the impact correctness of sweet spot of the head surface and ball collision.

The purpose of this study was to measure the change of coefficient of restitution of golf ball accordance to ball temperature and ball speed. Ball temperature was in the range of 0℃, 20℃ and 40℃, impact speeds of ball toward to 400 pound fixed square steel plate were 70, 85, 100, 115, 130 and 145mph. The data of coefficient of restitution (COR) of golf ball were measured by dividing the out-bound ball speed by inbound ball speed. In oblique impact, the COR applies only to those components of velocity along the line of impact or normal to the plane of impact. One particular type of COR test device that is commonly used in the golf ball industry is the ADC COR machine developed by Automated Design Corporation. The 5 brands and 2, 3, 4 piece balls (total 75 balls) were selected and they were fired the burst of 1,350 rounds. to the steel plate of ADC COR machine.

자동차의 측면 충돌시 승객을 보호하고자 박판재를 이용하여 자동차의 도어 임팩트빔을 핫스탬핑공법을 이용하여 개발하였다. 핫스탬핑 기술은 차량의 차체 강성을 증가시킬 뿐만 아니라 차체 중량 및 부품 수 축소로 인한 공정의 감소도 가능하게 한다. 핫스탬핑 시편을 제작하고, 기계적 물성시험을 수행하여 물성 데이터를 확보하였다. 핫스탬핑 임팩트빔의 성형해석및 구조해석을 이용한 최적 설계를 수행하여 기존 파이프형태의 임팩트빔보다 강도는 102% 향상되고, 중량은 34% 감소된 핫스탬핑 임팩트빔을 개발하였다. A vehicle door impact beam made of a thin sheet of steel has been constructed using hot stamping technology with the aim of ensuring occupant safety in the event of a side collision. This technology has been used to increase the strength of the vehicle body parts and to reduce the weight of the door impact beam as well as the number of work processes. Mechanical tests were performed to determine the material properties of the hot-stamped specimen and the results of the tests were used as input data in stamping and structural simulation in order to obtain the optimal design of door impact beam. The strength of the hot-stamped door impact beam increased to a value that was 102% higher than that of conventional pipe-shaped door impact beam. A weight reduction of 34% was also achieved.

An high frequency induction hardening technology of vehicle body press-formed of thin sheet steel has been developed to increase the strength of vehicle body parts locally by high frequency induction heating, thereby eliminating the need for reinforcements. And this technique for increasing the tensile strength of sheet steel was practically applied to the front floor cross member and center pillar reinforcement of a passenger car. The side impact behavior has been investigated when induction hardening technology is applied to the conventional low-carbon steel and weight reduction of an automotive body is expected. In this paper, basic experiments were performed for the hat-shaped specimen under high frequency induction heating process. Martensitic transformation was found in the heating zone through microscopic observation which showed higher hardness. In addition, the hardness and strength of the center-pillar specimen made of boron steel increased remarkably by high frequency induction heating.

The purpose of this study was to identify the existence of the ball fitting which needs the high compression(soft) golf ball for slow speed golfers and the low compression(hard) golf balls for high speed golfers. To confirm the existence of the ball fitting we have measured the restitution of coefficient(COR) of golf balls, ball compressions measured by Atti method, the golf balls carry distances by golf robot test with Trackman III golf launch monitor. The changes of coefficient of restitution of golf ball accordance to ball temperature and ball speed have been measured. Ball temperatures were in the range of 20°C, impact speeds of ball toward to 400 pound(181kg) fixed square steel plate were 70, 85, 100, 115, 130 and 145mph. The various data of the 5 brands and 2, 3 or 2, 4 piece balls(total 50 balls) were measured at 20°C~24°C. The test results say that there is no golf ball fitting, compression is feel and cor is speed.

The purpose of this study was to measure whether the grip cenrte lines pass through the center of gravit yof driver head at the golf ball impact moment or not. As resusl tof the high speed camera experiment(1, 000frames/sec), the data have shown that the grip center lines at ball impact pass through the back of the headcenter of gravity when measuring the from the head face. The raeson of that was because of the reboundfrom the shaft backward bending while downswing the driver with the maximum shaft bending at top.
