Performance test is carried out in accordance with "performance test standard for Electrical Multiple Unit", noticed by Ministry of Construction & Transportation in 2000. The object of this standard is to ensure that vehicle is tested after completion and before entry into service. Performance test is classified by type test to be carried out for the first car and its components in order to verify their performance and by routine test to be carried out on the whole quantity in order to prove the performance of individual items. Scope of the test is divided by components, completed car, preliminary adjustment test and running test on main line. The paper introduces a testing procedure and an execution method of the performance test.
전기철도환경하에서 부하변동에 따른 플리커지수의 변화양상에 대한 연구

The environment of electric railway has included both fast and slow load variation, which may occur in the office or maintenance factory or running electric train. This paper investigated flicker indices according to voltage fluctuations on three different situations; The base office in new subway in the daytime and night time. inside of electric train running in conventional subway. And also the variations of harmonic frequencies(2nd. 3rd, 5th) with time were measured at the same time. Flicker index is a good tool for evaluating the volage fluctuation quantitatively and show some relationship with even harmonic frequencies produced by the voltage fluctuation when the electric train is running on the railway.

Battery of rolling stock is a very important device as power supply at starting and emergency control. This paper analyzes the quality of Ni-Cd battery by means of performance test. Ni-Cd battery have suitable and stable properties. That is very stable to discharge on low temperature state and very easy to manage and repair. This paper confirm the performance and property of Ni-Cd battery on low temperature environment by the performance test and estimate the life-cycle of Ni-Cd battery on board at rolling-stock by the life-test and the using-test.
