With the continuous increase of energy demand, low-grade coal is regarded as a new energy source. However, due to the high water content, the utilization efficiency of low-grade coal is not good to be used in recent conversion plants. Therefore, it requires a drying process to lower the water content in low-grade coals. Although a variety of drying experiments were conducted, drying characteristics in accordance with the pressure change has not been progressed. In this study, the flash drying characteristics of coals (A : 14.7%, B: 21.5%) were determined in a pressurized micro-riser. The micro-riser consisted of M.F.C., disk type feeder, rolled tube with oven, cyclone, back filter and back pressure regulator. The effect of operation conditions such as pressure (1-40bar), drying temperature (200-600oC), and particle size (212-300um and 300-355um), tube length (2-6m) on drying ratio were investigated.

Drying characteristics of low rank coals were examined and determined using a pressurizedflash dryingsystem which consisted of a pressurized feeder, rolled tubes (maximum of 6 m), a cyclone, and a backpressure regulator. The effect of the operating conditions, such as pressure (maximum of 40 bar), gasoutlet temperature (maximum of 300 C), particle sizes (212–300 and 300–355 mm) and residence time(maximum of 1 s) on the drying ratio was investigated and analyzed. The study results show thattemperature is a more effective factor than pressure. A correlation equation to predict the drying ratio ofcoals was suggested based on operation conditions.
NSAT을 이용한 네트워크 취약점 점검 시스템 설계 및 구현

시스템을 침입하기 위해 가장 먼저 수행하는 공격의 하나가 네트워크 스캐닝을 통해 보안 취약점을 파악하고, 보안 취약점이 발견될 경우 해당 취약점을 이용해 시스템으로의 침입을 시도하게 된다. 따라서 이러한 일차 공격으로부터 피해를 최소화기 위해 먼저 시스템에 대한 취약점을 보완 하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 네트워크 시스템 관리자는 시스템이 가지고 있는 보안 취약점에 대해서 미리 파악하여 신속히 대처하여 공격의 대상에서 시스템을 보호해야한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 보안취약점 관리의 한계를 극복하기 위해서 NSAT를 이용한 네트워크 보안 취약점 점검 시스템을 제안한다. 보안에 미숙한 관리자도 보안취약점을 쉽게 발견하여 이를 바탕으로 공격대상이 되는 호스트를 미리 감시하고 또한 네트워크 환경에서도 실시간으로 해킹에 대비할 수 있는 취약점 관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현하고자 한다.

Recently, low-grade coal has attracted tremendous attention due to abundant reserves, cheap price and stable supply. Since low-grade coal has higher moisture content than conventional bituminous coal, its moisture has to be removed to be used in conventional plants. However, there are not enough databases for drying characteristics of low-grade coal. In this study, the drying characteristics of low grade coals (moisture contents: 17.8%, 22.5%) was investigated in a pressurized microriser. The effect of operation conditions such as pressure (1-40bar), drying temperature (200-600°C), particle size (212-300um and 300-355um), and residence time on drying ratio was studied and analyzed in this study.
바이오매스 폐기물의 에탄올 생산 공정의 기술경제성 평가

Extensive efforts from all over the world have been made to solve energy problems, such as high oil prices, global warning due to the depletion of oil. Among them, biofuel has been drawing attention as a clean energy, which can replace fossil fuels. However, conventional biofuels were often converted from eatable biomass such as sugar cane, corn and soy which should be replaced with uneatable biomass. In this study, a techno-economical evaluation of the gasification of biomass waste with mixed alcohol synthesis process was performed. Considering available domestic biomass wastes, a 2000 ton/day conversion plant were assumed to produce 533000 L/day ethanol. Also, financial data from previous studies were evaluated and used and economical sensitivities with various operation conditions were established. Economic analysis were conducted by the payback period and internal rate of return (IRR) and net present value (NPV). Sensitivity analyses of raw material costs, initial investment, the major process cost, ethanol price changes and operating costs were all performed.
Economic evaluation of domestic biowaste to ethanol via a fluidized bed gasifier

The economic evaluation of a biomass to ethanol process using afluidized bed gasifier was conducted byusing domestic biowastes. In this work, we chose two different scale processes because collectingbiowastes was considered as one of biggest bottlenecks. Economic evaluation was conducted usinginternal rate of return, net present value and ethanol prices. NPVs from a 2000 dry-ton/day process andtwo 1000 dry-ton/day process ranged from 47.9 million dollars and 69.5 million dollars in same IRR of10%. The construction of a 2000 dry-ton/day scale plant might be more economical than two 1000dry-ton/day scale plants because of lower ethanol prices.
