This study is to analyze the economic efficiency of the Cogen EHP system which combines a cogeneration system with an EHP. The Cogen EHP system is compared with the electric boiler and EHP system where both the electric power and the heat demands were necessary for cooling and heating and hot water. For the economic analysis, the economic efficiency evaluation index such as energy reduction cost, cost performance factor and peak load decrement is defined. We obtained the energy consumptions and energy costs by using a electricity and LNG gas charging system, equipment specification of the system, and load data of universities and hotels. Also, we calculated both the contract electric power and its basic rate which have substantial effects on peak load in summer season, and then added up it to the total energy cost. We analyzed the economic efficiency of the Cogen EHP system by applying the energy consumptions and energy costs in the economic efficiency evaluation index. The results of analysis showed the cost reduction effect with Cogen EHP system by 11% for universities, and by 35% for hotels, respectively.
Prandtl 수에 따른 옵셋 스트립 핀에서의 열 및 유동 분석

This paper numerically investigates thermo-flow characteristics of offset strip fins to obtain a correlation between heat transfer and pressure drop. The flow was divided into three regimes, i.e. laminar, transition and turbulent. The predicted j and f values from the SST k-ω turbulence model agreed with previous correlations with the error less than 20% in transition and turbulent regimes. Heat transfer and pressure drop were predicted by varying Prandtl number from 0.5 to 40. The Prandtl number showed little effects on pressure drop but had great effect on the heat transfer characteristics. An overall correlation to predict j was suggested by incorporating the effect of Pr and a new j correlation was suggested for each Pr.
On the performance of self-correction based modified min-sum decoding algorithms for LDPC codes

In this paper, we analyzed the performance of modified min-sum algorithms (MSA) for the decoding of low-density parity check codes. We focused on two self-correction based min-sum algorithms which erase variable node messages considered unreliable messages during decoding iterations. By comparing the error performances, it is confirmed that the self-correction based decoding algorithms have improved error performances compared with MSA and modified MSA.

패리티 검사 부호를 활용한 극부호는 순환 중복 검사(cyclic redundancy check: CRC) 부호가 연접된 극부호에 비해 우수한 복호 성능을 가지지만, 미검출 오류율(undetected error probability) 성능이 저하된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 우수한 오류 검출 및 정정능력을 위해 CRC 부호와 패리티 검사부호를 결합적으로 고려한 극부호의 설계 문제를 다룬다. 구체적으로, 패리티 비트 수에 따른 CRC 연접 패리티 검사 극부호의 복호 성능을 분석한다.
