Objective: Estradiol (E2) treatment has been known to induce changes in food intake, energy expenditure, and weight gain. However, its direct effects on adipose tissue macrophages (ATM) in vivo are not fully understood. Thus, we aimed to explore this aspect at cellular and molecular levels in ovariectomized obese mice. Methods: We examined the changes of visceral adipose tissue macrophages in the eight-week of high-fat diet to male, female, and female with ovariectomized (OVX) mice. Next, osmotic pumps were inserted into the OVX mice for two-week of estradiol treatment. We additionally set a Vehicle Pair-Fed control group (Vehicle PF) that supplied the same amount of high-fat diet consumed by the estradiol-treated (E2) group. Then we investigated the changes of in vivo visceral adipose tissue macrophages. Results: The percentage of M1-like ATMs decreased by the anorectic effect of E2, while M2-like ATMs increased regardless of the anorexia. E2 treatment increased the expression of anti-inflammatory genes but decreased pro-inflammatory genes in VAT. Monocyte recruitment and local proliferation contributed to M2-like ATMs. Furthermore, M2-like phenotypes were induced by E2 treatment in human macrophages. E2 treatment increases M2-like macrophages and improves the tissue milieu of VAT regardless of the anorectic reaction of E2. Conclusion: E2 treatment increases food intake by effecting M2-like macrophages and increasing the expression of anti-inflammatory genes regardless of the anorectic reaction of E2
BREW 무선 단말 플랫폼에서의 Mobile Game 구현

본 논문에서는 모바일 플랫폼 및 게임시장의 현재 동향을 고찰 해보고, 모바일 플랫폼 중퀄컴사에서 제작한 BREW로 모바일 게임을 제작한 내용을 보고한다. 모바일 플랫폼을 BREW로 선택하고, C언어를 이용하여 제작한 ‘Mouse Hunter"는 핸드폰을 모든 연령층이 이용하고 있는 현 상황에서 신세대들에게는 요즈음 텔레비전에서 쉽게 접하는 “쥐잡기 게임”을, 기성세대들에게는 어렸을 적 오락실의 향수가 묻어있는 “두더지 게임’을 떠올리게 하여 소재와 게임방식의 거부감 없이 흥미를 유발 할 수 있도록 제작하였다.
RTSP 기반 PoC 시스템에서 PoC Box를 이용한 적응적 멀티미디어 메시지 전송 기법

현재 모바일 서비스 분야에서 멀티미디어 서비스는 매우 중요한 서비스 분야로 인식되고 있는데, 이런 시대의 흐름에 발맞추어 OMA에서는 POC 1.0에서 멀티미디어 서비스를 강화한 POC 2.0을 제정 중에 있다. 현재 POC 2.0의 PoC 박스에서 Client로의 멀티미디어 메시지의 전송은 RTSP를 사용하도록 표준화 되어가고 있는 중이며 자원이 제한적인 모바일 환경 상에서 사용자의 상황에 의해 적응적으로 메시지를 제어해야할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 PTT(Push To Talk) 기술에 기반을 둔 PoC (Push to talk Over Cellular) system에서 멀티미디어 사서함의 가능을 하는 PoC 박스 중 NW PoC 박스에서 Client에 멀티미디어 메시지를 전송할 시 RTSP(Real Time Stream Protocol) 기반 환경에서 사용자의 요구에 적응적으로 메시지를 제어하고 전송하는 방법을 제안하였다.

Halyomorpha halys(Stål, 1855) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), also known as Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB), is a recent invasive pest in America and Europe. It originated from East Asia such as Korea, Japan, China, and Taiwan. Genus Trissolcus (Hymenoptera: Scelionidae) which is regarded as important species for biological control of H. halys, was described 6 species previously in Korea. But biology and taxonomic character of this genus is poorly known in Korea. Herein, we report two species from Korea, T. japonicus Ashmead, 1904 and T. plautiae Watanabe, 1954. We have investigated the morphological characters and COI sequence, and conducted an experiment about parasitic preference on BMSB's egg. Morphological key and picture of two species, and result of sequence investigation and experiment will be presented.

<P>As electric power systems become more complicated, the fault current experiences more frequent changes. To solve this problem, we suggest a novel hybrid-type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL). Some issues accompany application of resistive-type SFCLs to electric power systems, including initial installation price, operation and maintenance costs, and high-current problems. To overcome these problems, <I>hybrid SFCLs </I> have been developed in some institutions. This paper presents experimental tests of a novel hybrid-type SFCL composed of a resistive superconducting coil, two thyristors, and a control circuit. The superconducting coil limits the first peak of the fault current, and the thyristors control the magnitude of the fault current other than the first peak by adjusting the firing angles. The interactions between the superconducting coil and the thyristors reduce the use of superconducting wire.</P>
