대학생들의 성의식과 성행동에 관한 연구

본 연구는 대학생의 성에 대한 조사 연구의 필요성을 인식하고, 그들이 가지고 있는 성의식은 어떠한지, 그리고 실제적인 성행동은 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지를 파악하고자 하는데 목적을 두었다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. 대학생 남녀별 성에 대한 의식은 어떠한가? 2. 대학생 남녀별 성에 대한 의식은 배경변수에 따라 어떤 차이가 있는가? 3. 대학생들의 실제 성행동은 어느정도 이루어지고 있는가? 4. 대학생들의 실제 성행동은 배경변수에 따라 어떤 차이가 있는가? 이를 위하여 부산시내 소재하는 2개의 대학교에서 인터넷 설문을 실시하였고, 설문의 기본 자료는 성의식에 관한 10문항과 성행동에 관한 13문항으로 총 23문항으로 구성되었다. 설문에 참가한 학생들 1,566명 중 성실하게 응답한 남학생 670명, 여학생 630명으로 총1,300명의 자료를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구대상자의 일반적인 특성을 분석하기 위해 SPSS PC+ 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였고, 연구문제와 관련된 분석방법으로는 집단간의 차이를 위해 χ^(2) 검증을 사용하였다. 이상의 과정을 통하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라 대학생들의 성의식은 과거와 비교했을 때 혼전 성에 대한 태도의 경우 남학생들에게는 여전히 성의 2중 기준이 남아있었지만, 전반적으로는 성의식의 개방화로 인해 이러한 2중 기준은 많이 약화되어 가고 있었다. 이러한 결과는 현대로 들어오면서 우리나라의 대학생들에게 육체적 순결보다는 정신적 순결을 더욱 중요하게 생각하는 의식으로 변화했음을 보여주었다. 둘째, 대학생들의 성경험 비율은 과거에 비하여 전반적으로 높아졌으며, 이러한 현상은 여학생의 경우 두드러지게 나타났다. 성의식이 개방되면서 성행동 또한 자유로워지고 있는데, 혼전 성행동은 자신의 성태도에 따라서 가장 많이 좌우되는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 인터넷 사용 인구의 급격한 증가와 함께 성에 대한 지식 또한 인터넷을 통해 주고 받는 사례가 늘어나고 있었다. 이들이 가장 궁금해 하는 성지식은 남녀의 성심리, 성행위기법, 피임방법 등 실제 성생활에서 바로 활용할 수 있는 지식을 알기 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 성경험이 있다고 한 응답자들은 혼전성관계를 가졌을 경우 피임의 실패나 어떤 실수로 인해서 임신이 되지 않았을까 하는 걱정을 가장 많이 하였다. 또한 성관계 후 상대자에 대해서 매력을 상실하여 실망하게 되거나 자신의 성관계 사실을 타인이 알게되는 것에 대한 두려움 등을 혼전성관계의 문제점으로 들고 있었다. 본 연구는 대학생들에게 실제적으로 이루어지고 있는 성행동의 실태를 인터넷 설문을 통해 더욱 구체적이고 세밀하게 조사·분석했다는데 의의가 있으며, 추후 연구를 위해 다음과 같은 몇 가지 제언을 해 보았다. 첫째, 급격하게 늘고 있는 넷티즌들이 인터넷 음란 사이트를 통해서 잘못된 성지식을 얻고 있는 실정이므로 이를 미연에 방지하고 인터넷 상에서 건전한 성문화 정착을 위한 제도적인 장치 마련이 필요하다. 둘째, 본 연구결과에서 나타났듯이 첫 성관계가 대학 1-2학년때 가장 많이 이루어지고 있다는 것을 미루어볼 때, 대학교 내에서 고차원적인 성교육을 의무적으로 실시하여 건전한 성의식과 올바른 성지식을 가질 수 있도록 하는 것이 필요하다. 셋째, 기존의 성교육 프로그램은 대부분 보수성이 강하여 변화하는 사회현상 속에서 피교육자의 흥미와 관심을 끌지 못하였기 때문에 공교육 속에서 제대로 된 성교육이 부재한 상태였다. 따라서 비공식적인 경로를 통한 잘못된 성지식을 갖게되는 경우가 많으므로 피교육자의 실제적인 성지식 수준과 흥미에 입각한 성교육 프로그램이 필요하며, 피교육 대상자의 특성과 발달 단계에 맞는 프로그램의 개발이 시급하다. 넷째, 인터넷을 통해서 성지식을 획득하고 있는 학생들이 점차 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다는 사실을 감안하여 볼 때, 인터넷 온라인 상에서의 성교육 프로그램 개발 또한 조속히 연구되어야 할 과제다. The purpose of this study is to identify the necessity of research for sexual consciousness of the university student and to understand how they think about sex and how their actual sexual behaviors are done. The objectives of this study are as follows : 1. How the male and female university students in Korea think about sex? 2. How sexual consciousness of the male and female university students is different depending on their background variables. 3. To what extent sexual behaviors of the university students are actually done. 4. How sexual behaviors of the university students are different depending on their background variables. For this purpose, the internet survey was carried out in 2 universities located in downtown in Busan. The basic questions of the survey were made up of total 23 questions, among which 10 questions were for sexual consciousness and 13 questions were for sexual behavior. The total number of respondents was 1,566 but the data from 1,300(670 for female and 630 for male) students who answered for the survey sincerely were used for the final analysis. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows : Firstly, compared with the past, sexual consciousness of the male university students in Korea still remains double-standard for sexual intercourse before marriage, but this double-standard gradually becomes weak due to the opening of sexual consciousness. At the result of this, the consciousness of the university students has changed its focus from physical purity to mental purity at the present time. Secondly, the percentage of those who experienced sexual intercourse has generally been increased since past, and this phenomenon is conspicuous in the case of the male students. As sexual consciousness is opened, sexual behavior also becomes open and it seems sexual intercourse before marriage is mainly under the control of his/her attitude toward sex. Thirdly, as the number of the internet users is rapidly increased, the more cases, in which information about sex is communicated through the internet, are reported. The most interesting information the user want to know about is information they can make use immediately in actual sexual life such as sexual psychology of male and female, sexual techniques and contraceptive method etc. Fourthly. those who responded they had experienced sexual intercourse before marriage worried about the failure of contraception or possibility of pregnancy due to some carelessness. In addition, they also worried that they might lose a charm toward their partner after sexual intercourse and also worried their sexual intercourse might revealed to other people. Following suggestions are made for future study : Firstly, rapidly rising number of the internet users are acquiring perverse sex-related information through the internet pornographic sites in the real situation, thus some organizational systems need to be established to prevent this situation and establish healthy culture of sex. Secondly, as shown in the result of this study, the first sexual intercourse seems to be done at freshman and sophomore in the university, which is more frequent than any other age. Thus, high-level sexual education should be put into practice obligatory to let the student have sound sexual consciousness and accurate sexual knowledge. Thirdly, most of the existing sex educational programs have been conservative and could not attract interests and concerns from an educatee in the constantly changing society. As a result of this, inaccurate sexual knowledge is frequently transmitted through the informal way. Thus, the sex educational programs, which can provide some practical sexual knowledge and interests for an educatee, is required and the program, which is suitable for the characteristic and progress of educatee, should be developed immediately. Lastly, if considering the fact that students who acquire sex-related information through the Internet are gradually increasing, the sex educational programs on the internet should be developed as early as possible.

현대 사회의 성의식 변화와 성에 관한 교회의 가르침

This thesis is on the issues that are derived from the change of sexual consciousness in the modern society, and suggests the forthcoming direction of the Christian sexual ethics based on the proper understanding of sexuality. The modern society pursuits open and hedonistic stance on sexuality in many cases. The question of sexual needs and how to behave as a sexual human is relevant to the question of ethics and morality such as ‘what kind of a man should I be or how do I live’. Through the sexual revolution, the changes of the modern society have changed the value and the consciousness of sexuality. For example, people see that the act of love between men and women bound by no conditions and sexual activities are no longer essentially connected to the marriage institution. Especially in pluralistic modern society, sex is regarded as a choice and a right to use as exclusive property of individuals, and object of self-determination. Of course it is true that there's a personal and private part in sexuality because the subject of sexual activities is oneself or the other who is in a deep relationship with oneself. But if sex affects the thoughts of individuals and the others that are involved in sexual activities, it can not be considered merely as a matter of personal choice and it must be used within a system and included as a normative dimension. In other words, sexuality that has a mutual influence on the individuals is not only a result of a personal choice but also matter of social relationship. It means that misuse of sex causes problems because of the nature of sex which is rooted in human existence. Sexuality has the mature strength of leading our life to be creative, helping cooperate with God’s creative work, and forgoing to the pleasure without humans egoistic mind. But immature and unhealthy sexuality is the source of the power that causes egoistic mind and unhappiness. It is rather a matter of coexistence of positive energy and negative energy than whether sexuality is heathy or unhealthy. And the energy is so strong so that sexuality gives the perfect love, life, and blessing but it also brings the worst hatred and death as well as unimaginable destruction. The profoundity of sexual life in the modern society and related issues are caused by the lack of emphasis of the characteristics of sexuality rather than the overwhelming emphasis of sexuality. It is because sexuality is considered to be a conjugal sexual intercourse within normative dimension rather than discussing the personality and maturity of the personal relationship of sexuality. Also, sexuality is focused on to be a category of a personal activity and to divide the legality of acts. That misses the point of fulfilling meaning. Therefore it is important to understand the sexuality properly which is too powerful to be handled. In such a situation in the modern society, it is inevitable to raise a question whether the Christian sexual ethics reflects any religious value on the people in the society. It is hard to have a conversation between the modern society and freewilling sex culture as long as the Christian sexual ethics overly focuses on the doctrinal characteristics of dogma from classical perspective. At the same time, the spiritual aspect of sexuality itself and the value of life will be neglected as long as the freewheeling sex culture neglects the theological meaning of sexuality proclaimed by the Church. As a Christian, sexuality is a gift to human given by God, and a vocation of God to love, trust and devotion through self-giving. It makes people realize the finitude of themselves, and helps them open up their lives to each other. By opening themselves to the others, human with sexual activities reaches the personal perfection, practices love to the others, and participates in the Christ’s salvation. By doing so the original value of sex, holy dimension, will be recovered. In the context, the Christian sexual ethics pursuit the bringing of an image of God, and the ultimate completion of human being. Therefore, the Christians in the modern society should not forget that sexuality is a gift given by God with endless efforts to letting oneself on holistic and personal levels to achieve spiritual love with the others. The Christians should be an example in the modern society where people do not care much about the proper understanding about sexuality, neither the right use of it.

청년기 혼전 성관계에 대한 성경적 상담

본 논문은 청년기 혼전 성관계에 대하여 연구함에 있어서 성경적 상담의 기본 원리와 방법을 통하여 실제 상담과정 속에서 청년기 혼전 성관계의 문제를 돕는 데 목적이 있다. 먼저 청년기 성에 대한 정신분석학, 발달심리학, 생리학적 관점에서의 일반적 접근과 기독교적 관점에서의 접근을 통하여 청년기 성에 대한 바른 인식의 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 이는 청년기 성의 특성을 통하여 다른 발달단계와는 다른 성에 대한 충동성과 욕구를 살피고자 함이다. 다음으로 혼전 성관계에 대한 실태를 통해 일반인의 일반적인 혼전 성관계의 태도와 원인 그리고 기독청년의 혼전 성관계의 태도와 원인을 살펴보도록 하였다. 그리고 이러한 사실에 근거하여 성에 대한 성경적 관점의 재확립, 성교육의 필요성을 혼전 성의 성경적 원리를 중심으로 살피고 성경 속에 나타난 혼전, 혼외 성관계의 사례들을 통하여 성경은 혼전 성관계의 문제를 어떻게 다루고 있는지를 고찰함으로서 일반적 관점에서의 혼전 성관계에 대한 대안의 한계성과 성경적 관점의 해결방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 혼전 성관계에 대한 성경 속의 사례를 통하여 데이트와 구혼의 과정 속에서 성과 관련된 원리와 방법의 실질적인 부분에 대해 성경이 말하고 있는 것이 무엇인지 그 기준을 명확히 하고 혼전 성관계의 문제를 가지고 있는 내담자의 문제 해결을 돕고자 성경적 상담의 방법론을 연구하였고, 실제로 성경적 상담의 방법론을 가지고 내담자에게 적용하여 상담사례를 분석, 정리하였다.
