내면화된 수치심, 자기애, 책임귀인이 연애관계 만족에 영향을 미치는 경로 분석 = The Role of Shame-based Narcissistic Trait on Satisfaction in Romantic Relationships: The Mediation Effect of Responsibility Attribution

This study investigated the role of shame, narcissistic trait, and responsibility attribution in predicting satisfaction in romantic relationships. Based on the previous findings, we proposed a path model in which responsibility attribution would mediate the relationship between the shame-based narcissistic trait and relationship satisfaction. Participants were a total of 138 young adults who were engaging in a romantic relationship or had experience of the past romantic relationships. They completed a survey packet including measures of shame, narcissistic trait, responsibility attribution, and relationship satisfaction. The results supported the proposed path model, suggesting that shame-based narcissistic trait may have indirect effect on relationship satisfaction which is mediated by a cognitive mechanism such as responsibility attribution. The implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 연애관계 만족도를 예측하는 변인으로서 내면화된 수치심, 자기애, 그리고 책임귀인이 어떠한 역할을 하는지 분석하였다. 연구 참여자는 20대의 대학생으로, 과거 혹은 현재의 연애경험이 있는 138명의 자료만이 연구에 포함되었다. 연구 참여자들은 내면화된 수치심 척도, 자기애성 척도, 책임귀인 척도, 연애관계 만족도 척도로 구성된 설문에 응답하였으며, 자료의 분석은 AMOS 16.0을 사용하여 이루어졌다. 주분석에 앞서 연구변인들에 대한 성차가 존재하는지를 변량분석으로 검증하였으며, 그 결과 유의미한 성차는 나타나지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과에 기초하여 전체 표본을 대상으로 경로분석을 실시한 결과. 내면화된 수치심이 자기애에, 자기애가 책임귀인에, 그리고 책임귀인이 연애관계 만족도에 각각 영향을 미치는 경로가 확인되었다. 즉 내면화된 수치심에 기초한 자기애는 연애관계 만족도를 예측하는 성격적 요인이며, 특히 수치심에 기초한 자기애 성향의 영향은 책임귀인이라는 인지적 기체를 통해 매개되는 간접적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과들이 상담과정에 가지는 함의와 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.
