신경증적 경향성과 결혼만족도 : 책임귀인 양식과 문제해결행동의 매개변인 검증 = Neuroticism and marital satisfaction : the mediation effect of responsibility attributional style and problem-solving behavior

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 신경증적 경향성이 결혼 만족도에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 책임귀인양식과 문제해결행동이 매개 변인으로서 작용하는지를 알아보기 위한 것이다.
부부 102쌍을 대상으로 신경증적 경향성, 결혼 만족도, 책임귀인양식, 문제 해결행동을 측정하여 경로분석을 실시하였다.
연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체 집단에서 신경증적 경향성이 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 책임귀인양식과 문제해결행동이 매개변인으로서 작용하였다. 둘째, 아내의 경우에는 연구 결과가 전체 집단의 것과 동일하였으나 남편에게서는 이 매개 경로가 유의미하지 않았다. 이것은 매개 경로에서 남편과 아내간에 성차가 작용했을 가능성을 시사하는 것이다.
다음으로 결혼의 맥락모델에 기초하여 연구자료들을 검증하였다. 그 결과 남편의 경우에 책임귀인양식이 자신의 신경증적 경향성에 의해 영향을 받기보다는 아내의 문제해결행동에 영향을 받아 독립적으로 남편의 결혼만족도를 설명하는 것으로 나타났다.
부가적으로 부부간의 신경증적 경향성 수준이 아내와 남편의 결혼만족도, 책임귀인양식, 문제해결행동에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 아내와 남편의 신경증적 경향성 수준이 높을수록 자신의 결혼만족도 뿐만 아니라 배우자의 결혼만족도도 낮은 것으로 나타났다.
끝으로 본 연구의 매개변인 검증이 신경증적 경향성이 높은 부부들을 치료하고 상담하는데 있어 갖는 임상적인 함의와 제한점 및 미래연구에 대한 시사점들을 언급하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was intended to test the mediation effect of responsibility attributional style and problem-solving behaviors in the effects of neuroticism on the marital satisfaction. One hundred and two couples participated in this study. We measured the Neuroticism scale of the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ-N), the Dyadic Adjustment Scale(DAS; Spanier, 1976), the Relationship Attribution Measure(RAM; Fincham ＆ Bradbury, 1992), and the Problem-Solving Behavior Check List and used the path analysis.
The results are as follows. For wives, responsibility attributional style and problem-solving behavior had significant path coefficient as a mediate variable in the effects of neuroticism on the marital satisfaction. However, this pathes were not significant for husbands.
And we tested the data on the basis of contextual model. The results showed that husbands' responsibility attributional style was affected by wives' problem-solving behaviors rather than husbands' selves neuroticism.
In addition, we examed how neuroticism level between spouses influences on the marital satisfaction, responsibility attributional style, and problem-solving behavior. The results showed that higher neuroticism reached lower marital satisfaction, less positive problem-solving behaviors in both spouses and more negative responsibility attributional style only in wives.
Finally, the limitations of this study and the suggestions for future researches were discussed.
