대학생의 사회부과적 완벽주의와 사회불안의 관계: 사회적 지지와 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 매개효과 = The Relation Between Socially prescribed Perfectionism and Social Anxiety of College Students: The Mediator Effects of Social Support and Fear of Negative Evaluation

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was designed to understand the process of social anxiety among college students with prescribed perfectionism. In order to investigate the mediator effect of social support and fear of negative evaluation between perfectionism and social anxiety, four models were compared. 357 college students were recruited for this study, and two major conclusions were listed below. First, the structural model showing better fit were the model in which the direct link between perfectionism and social anxiety were not included. Second, after testing the significance of each mediator, the level of fear with negative evaluation showed much more effects on social anxiety compared to the level of social support. These results would help understanding the social anxiety of university students and could be applied in counseling sessions. In particular, the findings in this study provides the guideline of leading the clients with social anxiety.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 사회불안을 이해하기 위하여 사회부과적 완벽주의, 사회적 지지, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 사회불안에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 사회부과적 완벽주의 성향이 있는 대학생들이 어떤 과정으로 사회불안을 겪게 되는지를 이해하고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 모형비교를 통해 사회부과적 완벽주의와 사회불안의 관계를 가장 잘 설명해주는 모형을 설정하여 사회적 지지와 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 남녀 대학생 357명이었고 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회부과적 완벽주의와 사회적 지지, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움, 사회불안간의 관계를 가장 잘 설명하는 구조적 모형은 사회적 지지와 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 완전매개모형으로 나타났다. 둘째, 매개변인 각각의 유의성을 검증한 결과, 사회적 지지의 수준보다 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 수준이 사회불안에 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학생들의 사회불안을 이해하고, 상담장면에서 사회불안의 문제를 호소하는 대학생 내담자를 맞이하였을 때 초점을 두고 개입하는 방향을 설정하는 데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
