가정의 경제적 불안, 부모의 우울, 아동의 사회적 지지 지각이 아동의 행동문제에 미치는 영향

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to investigate, in the IMF era, how 3 factors
such as the economic distress of home, the depression of the
parents and the childs social support perception affect the
childs behavioral problem, especially with the emphasis on the
last factor-the childs social support perception
For this study, 463 children from 14 classes in the 6th grade
of elementary school in Seoul, Kyong-ki, and Tae-jon area
participated in the survey. To make things clear, there were
used two kinds of survey questionnaires; One is for the child,
which is designed to measure the degree of childs social
support perception and the other is for the parents, designed
to measure the degrees of their depression, economic distress
and their childs behavioral problem. Based on the data
analyzed by statistics package SAS, correlation analysis is
undertaken. And path analysis is also undertaken to find out
in witch way above 3 factors affect the childs behavioral
problem.
The results of this study can be summed as followings.
Firstly, positive variables affecting the childs behavioral
problem are the economic distress of home, the depression of
the mother and father. And negative variables are childs
support perception of the peer group and the childs support
perception of the family. But the childs support perception of
the teacher did not make any difference.
Secondly, the economic distress of home has the correlation
with depression of the parents, which sequently leads to
childs behavioral problem. At this procedure, however, the
childs support perception of the peer group, actually one of
the subordinate variables of the childs behavioral problem.
And those variables can be put in order like this; the
depression of the mother, the depression of the father, the
economic distress of home and lastly, the childs support
perception of the peer group.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

급속한 경제 성장을 이루어낸 한국경제는 1996년 국민소득 1만달러 시대의 문을 열고는 1년만에 IMF 관리체제로 전락하고 말았으며, 이에 국민들은 갑작스럽게 닥친 경제적 위기로 심각한 심리·경제적 어려움을 겪었다.
다행히도 최근들어, 경기가 회복되면서 우리 경제의 앞날에 대한 낙관적인 시각과 전망이 확산되고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 앞으로도 지속적인 구조조정으로 고실업이 지속되고 장기화될 전망이다. 그러므로 가정에서 겪게될 경제적 어려움도 계속될 것이며, 이는 환경의 변화에 적극적으로 대처할 수 있는 능력이 부족한 아동에게 행동상의 치명적이고, 부정적인 영향을 미치게 될 것이다.
따라서, 본 연구에서는 먼저 경제적 위기를 겪었던 서구의 연구들을 토대로, IMF 하에서 아동의 행동문제에 영향을 미칠것으로 예상되는 변인들을 선정하여, 가정의 경제적 불안, 부모의 우울, 아동의 사회적 지지 지각이 아동의 행동문제에 어떠한 경로로 영향을 미치며, 특히, 아동의 사회적 지지 지각 변인이 아동의 행동문제에 대해 어떠한 중재효과를 발휘할 수 있을지에 관하여 살펴보고자 하였다.
본 연구의 대상은 서울·경기·대전 지역 초등학교에 재학중인 6학년 14개반 463명의 아동과 그들의 부모였다.
또한, 본 연구에서 사용한 측정도구는 아동용과 부모용으로 나뉘어지며, 아동용 도구는 아동의 사회적 지지 지각 척도, 부모용 도구는 아동의 행동문제 척도, 부모 우울 척도, 가정의 경제적 불안 척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 통계 패키지 SAS를 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, Cronbachs α 계수를 산출하고, 상관분석을 하였으며, 또한 아동의 행동문제에 영향을 미치는 설명변인들이 어떠한 경로를 통해 어느 정도의 영향을 미치는가를 알아보기 위하여, 경로분석을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 연구문제별로 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 아동의 행동문제와 설명변인들 중에 정적상관을 보인 변인은 가정의 경제적 불안, 어머니의 우울, 아버지의 우울 이었고, 부적상관을 보인 변인은 아동의 친구지지 지각, 아동의 가족지지 지각 이었으며, 아동의 교사지지 지각과는 상관이 나타나지 않았다.
둘째, 가정의 경제적 불안이 증가할수록, 어머니·아버지의 우울이 증가하였으며, 이는 아동의 행동문제를 증가시켰다. 이때 중재적인 변인으로 작용할 것으로 예측했던 아동의 사회적 지지(가족·친구·교사지지) 지각의 하위변인중 친구지지 지각만이 어머니의 우울을 통해 아동의 행동문제를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 아동의 행동문제에 영향을 미치는 설명변인들의 상대적 영향력은 어머니의 우울, 아버지의 우울, 가정의 경제적 불안, 아동의 친구지지 지각 순이었다.
