식물을 모티브로 활용한 페이퍼 아트워크 윈도우 디스플레이 연출에 관한 연구 : 딥디크를 중심으로 = A study on paper artwork window display directing that uses the plants as motives : Focusing on Diptyque

국문 초록 (Abstract)

환경적 이유로 인하여 실내에 머무는 시간이 늘어나면서 식물을 이용해 쾌적한 실내 환경을 조성하는 것에 대한 관심도가 높아지고, 자연히 공간에 식물의 필요성이 증가하였다. 전에는 식물 요소를 공간에 직접 사용하여 연출하는 방식이 주를 이루었지만, 현재에는 식물을 표현할 방법들이 다양하게 발전하고 있다. 이에 대한 다양한 분야의 표현 방식으로 실내 정원, 벽면 연출, 조명. 주얼리, 소품, 페인팅 등으로 식물을 활용하여 다양한 디자인을 선보이고 있다. 식물로만 한정적으로 사용되는 것이 아닌 다양한 방법으로 많은 디자인 분야에 응용을 할 수 있다는 가능성이 보인다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 식물을 활용한 독창적이고 예술적인 페이퍼 아트 표현 기법을 적용해 식물의 표현 한계점을 보완하고 활용 기능의 폭을 넓혀주고자 한다.
페이퍼 아트워크는 공예 재료 중에서 사용이 쉽고, 쉽게 구할 수 있으며, 단순한 제작 과정으로 이용이 가능하다. 이렇듯 표현의 폭이 넓어지고 다양한 기법 적용이 가능해짐에 따라 오늘날 페이퍼 아트는 무대 디자인, 실내 공간연출, VMD, 북아트 등 다양한 분야에서 활용 가능성이 넓어지고 있다. 페이퍼 아트도 표현 기법에 따라 접기, 자르기, 말기, 조각, 겹치기, 엮기 등 다양한 분야에서도 표현이 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있다.
위와 같은 선행 사례 분석을 통하여 식물을 활용한 페이퍼 아트워크 연출 연구를 진행하게 되었고, 식물을 모티브로 페이퍼 아트워크에 적용하여 윈도우 디스플레이에 적용하여 디자인하였다. 딥디크 브랜드를 중심으로 페이퍼 아트워크 기법 중 자르기와 겹치기를 사용하여 작품을 제작하였다.
페이퍼 아트워크를 활용한 표현방식의 특징을 다음과 같이 정리하였다.
첫째, 표현하고자 하는 방식에 따라 평면적, 입체적 표현이 가능하며 페이퍼가 줄 수 있는 아름다움을 표현할 수 있다.
둘째, 페이퍼를 활용한 디자인은 시각적 효과가 뛰어나며 다른 오브제와도 조화롭게 사용이 가능하다.
셋째, 표현하고자 하는 이미지를 확실하게 표현할 수 있고, 디자인 의도와 다양한 컬러 사용과 두께를 조절할 수 있다.
본 연구는 이러한 과정을 결과로 식물을 모티브로 활용한 페이퍼 아트워크 쇼 윈도우 디스플레이 연출에 관한 연구를 진행하였고, 식물이 공간에 한정되지 않고, 독창성을 보여줄 수 있는 페이퍼 아트워크와 같은 표현 기법과 매치하여 다른 분야에서도 식물을 활용한 디자인이 다양하게 활용하여 연출되기를 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The increased hours of staying indoor due to environmental reason have brought the increased interest in creating the pleasant indoor environment using plants, and the increased need of plants in the space naturally. In the past, the type of directing that directly uses the plants in the space used to be mainstream, but the diverse methods that express plants are being developed currently.
For the diverse expressions, various designs are displayed using plants with indoor garden, wall display, lighting, jewelry, props and painting. The functional features that can be applied in many design fields variously not using plants only stands out. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to supplement the limit of plant expression and to broaden the range of utilization by applying the artistic paper art expression method.
The materials of paper art work are easy to use, find and available with simple manufacturing process. Likewise, as the width of expression gets broader and the various techniques can be applied, the paper art these days is broadening the use possibility in various fields such as stage design, indoor space directing, VMD and book art.
It can be seen that paper art can also be expressed in various fields such as folding, cutting, rolling, sculpting, overlapping, and weaving depending on the expression technique. Through the analysis of the preceding cases as above, a study on directing paper artwork using plants was conducted, and the plant as motif was applied to the paper artwork and applied to the window display to design.
Focusing on Diptyque brand, cutting and overlapping among paper art work techniques are used to product the works.
The features of expressions using paper art work can be classified as follows.
First, a flat or three-dimensional way expression is available depending on the desired way, and the beauty that paper can give can be expressed.
Second, the design using paper has the excellent visual effects and can be harminzed with other objects.
Third, the image that you want to express can be clearly expressed, and the design intention, various colors use and thickness can be adjusted.
This study conducted the study on paper artwork show window display directing that uses the plants as motive based on this result, and I hope the design utilizing plants can be utilized and directed in other fields by matching the expression technique such as paper artwork which can show the creativity.
