<3인 정읍설장고춤> 작품분석을 통한 전통춤의 재창조 방안모색 = Consideration for Measures for Reinvention of Traditional Dance through Analysis on the Work 〈Three-men Jeongeup Seoljanggo Dance〉

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to consider measures for reinvention of traditional dance through an analysis on the work <Three-men Jeongeup Seoljanggo Dance> which is a reinvented work of traditional dance. For methodologies, this study utilizes analytical methods from various angles including literature review, interviews and expert group meetings. For the analysis on work, seeing <Three-men Jeongeup Seoljanggo Dance> as a text, this study determines co-text composing this text which is movements, music, costumes and context such as choreographers and purposes of choreography. The study is based on the intertextuality theory which is to interpret works in this internal and external crossing of texts. To achieve this study??s purpose, results on the work??s characteristics from the analysis on the work based on intertextuality are as follows. First, it adopts story telling technique into Seoljanggo which has traditionally been melody-centered. Second, the method of storytelling is based on humorous expressions. Third, the humorous expressions of storytelling are shown through transformation and expansion of the flow, gestures, movements and costumes and modernized interpretation. Fourth, the three elements above double the Shinmyeong in the work and create the changeover into contemporary Shinmyeong. The characteristics above work as elements to enable smooth communication with audience so they are credited to make the work be evaluated as one that secures both fun and popular appeal. To sum up on the basis of these results, this study has significance that it seeks to overcome abstractness of traditional dance and to sublate stuffing the traditional dance while it concretely suggests measures for reinvention of Korean traditional dance for communication with the contemporary audience.
