자녀의 발달단계별 부모교육 프로그램의 요구도 조사연구 : 학령기 아동의 부모를 대상으로 = A Study on Needs of Parent Education Program according to Children's Developing Stage: Focusing on parents with children at school ages

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the needs of procedure and contents on parent education programs, and to indicate how they would be related with parenting competence and stress. The study sample was 201 mothers with the first, second and third graders in elementary schools. We measured the needs of procedure and contents on parent education programs with a 42 item scale, parenting competence with the 17 item scale developed by Gibaud-Wallston and Wandersman (1978) (Parenting Sense of Competence: PSOC), and parenting stress with the 33 item index of Abidin's Parenting Stress Index (PSI, 1990). The result showed that the needs of mothers with children at school ages were different from those with children in other ages. This study result implied that it would be applicable to children's developmental stage in school ages. It also implied that there would be a need of developing a parent education program appropriate for Korean culture.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 부모교육프로그램 절차와 내용에 관한 요구를 파악하고 이러한 내용이 양육효능감과 스트레스와 어떤 관계가 있는지 탐색하는데 목적을 두었다. 초등학교 1,2,3학년 자녀를 둔 201명 어머니를 대상으로, 총 42문항으로 구성된 부모교육 요구도 척도 문항과, Gibaud-Wallston과 Wandersman(1978)이 개발한 Parenting Sense of Competence(PSOC)(총 17문항)를 수정․번안하여 만든 양육효능감 척도, Abidin(1990)의 부모스트레스 척도(Parenting Stress Index(PSI)(총 33문항)를 사용하여 측정하였다. 분석결과, 초등학교 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 부모교육에 대한 요구는 다른 연령대 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 요구와 다르게 나타났는데, 이러한 결과는, 초등학교 연령대의 발달단계에 적합한 부모교육프로그램이 필요하다는 점을 시사하였다.
