This study devide landscape resources into three categories which consist of natural, historical and artificial resources. The study shows that natural resources are the most representative and preferred landscape among three categories. This result implies that open space and green areas are key factors for selecting the choice. For detail, the result shows that Ulsan grand park and Munsu sports park are the most recognizing representative landscape as well as the most preferred landscape. There is high relationship between representative landscape and preferred landscape. That is, most representative landscapes are preferred landscapes. It seems that beautiful scenery, recognition, and accessibility are the three most important factors to selecting representative and preferred landscape. Young People preferred visible and interesting artificial places and downtown areas compared with other generations. Most respondents represented negative attitudes for urban landscape like unpleasant, crowded, and dangerous. There is significant difference in respondents' images for urban landscape by their residential districts. As a dwelling place, Nam-gu district got the highest points for urban landscape assessment due to its modernistic image caused by concentration of socioeconomic and cultural facilities. In contrast, Jung-gu district had the lowest points owing to its insufficient infrastructure.
According to the results, most respondents prefer green area and open-space than crowded and unpleasant urban landscape. Each district's socioeconomic factors influence residents' image for their urban landscape images.
