다문화가정 어머니의 부모역량 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 = A Study Regarding whit the Development of a Parental Competence Enhancement Program for Mothers of Multicultural Families

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to develop a parental competence enhancement program for mothers of multicultural families. As the population of immigrant mothers grows, open attitudes toward different cultural groups, which means to enhance the competence in terms of multiculturalism, are being more important. In order to increase the effectiveness of education for parental competence, the contents and the methods which compose the program comprised not only through literature reviews but interviews with the needs students. Then those contents and methods were evaluated suitability by site experts for the teaching professionalism. The evaluating methods are constructed by literature reviews and based on exclusion of subjectivities over the whole process. This may be considered significant as this program is customized to the mothers' needs, and further, is able to improve their spontaneity in integrating into the mainstream society. Finally, this result will show that the mothers of multicultural families face their reality and study how to raise their children based on proper understanding of the children's developmental nature through this parent competence enhancement program. It can be considered that this result of the program contribute to the change of Korean society into a balanced and stable multicultural society. Additionally, this study also intends for the children to grow into a desirable citizen, which, in turn, is expected to provide significant implication for future studies in regards to multicultural family matters.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 다문화사회로 변화하는 한국사회에서 증가하는 다문화가정 어머니들의 부모역량을 강화하는 프로그램을 개발하여 다문화가정 어머니들을 위한 보다 효율적이고 실질적인 지원방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 다문화가정 어머니들을 대상으로 요구조사를 실시하고 분석․반영을 통해 세부적인 목표를 수립하고 관련문헌과 프로그램들을 검토하여 교육내용을 구성하고 효과적인 교육을 위해 교수-학습방법에 있어 다양성을 확보하고 전문가들로부터 적합성을 검증받았으며, 또한 평가방법에 있어 연구자의 주관을 최소화할 수 있는 방안을 강구하여 반영하였다. 본 부모역량강화 프로그램은 수혜자 중심의 맞춤형 프로그램으로 다문화가정 어머니들의 다양한 요구를 반영하여 실질적인 도움이 되는 프로그램으로써 의의가 있다. 뿐만 아니라 새로운 환경에 적응하고 통합되고자 하는 그들의 자발적이고 적극적인 의지를 증진시켜 한국사회의 건강한 구성원으로 거듭나게 하는 데에도 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 급속히 증가하는 다문화가정 어머니들이 긍정적인 자아인식을 통하여 자신들의 적응능력을 증진하고 자녀의 성장과 특성에 대한 올바른 이해를 바탕으로 실질적인 양육의 기술을 습득하는 일은 문화적 다원주의가 요구되는 오늘날 한국사회가 균형감 있는 다문화사회로 변화하는 데 기여한다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
