유아의 환경인쇄물 읽기능력 검사 도구 개발 및 타당화 연구 = The development and validity of the children's reading ability of environmental print scale for preschool children

The purpose of this study was to develop the Children's Reading Ability of EnvironmentalPrint Scale(CRAEPS) for preschool children and to examine its validity and reliability. Theparticipants were 237 mothers of children aged 3 to 5 years age and 141 children, aged 3 to 5years, who were unable to read letters. In order to rate the children's familiarity withenvironmental print, the study used the environmental print familiarity questionnaire for themothers and the children's reading ability environmental print scale for the children. The findingsdemonstrate the reliability and validity of the CRAEPS with regard to item discrimination,internal consistency reliability and test-retest reliability, construct validity and concurrent validity.
The data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, t-tests, and Pearson correlations. It wasconcluded that CRAEPS consisted of 20 items, and is a valid and reliable measure.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아의 환경인쇄물 읽기능력을 측정하는 검사를 개발하고 검사의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 서울, 경기, 대전, 경상, 전라, 강원도에 있는 어린이집15곳에 다니는 만 3∼ 5세 자녀를 둔 어머니 237명과 서울, 경기, 대전에 거주하는 글자를 읽지못하는 만 3∼ 5세 아동 141명이었다. 유아의 환경인쇄물 읽기능력 검사의 문항을 추출하기 위해 본 연구자가 개발한 어머니 평정용 환경인쇄물 친숙도 질문지와 유아의 환경인쇄물 읽기능력 예비검사를 사용하였다. 유아의 환경인쇄물 읽기능력 검사의 신뢰도는 문항의 내적합치도와재검사 신뢰도를, 타당도는 내용타당도와 공인타당도를 구하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 기술통계및 독립표본 t 검증, 상관분석을 실시하였다. 유아의 환경인쇄물 읽기능력 검사 문항은 20개의환경인쇄물로 구성되어 있다. 문항의 내적합치도는 Cronbach α 계수 .87, 재검사 신뢰도는r=.89, 공인타당도 검증을 위한 유아의 수용·표현 어휘와의 관계는 각각 r= .43, r= .53으로 산출되어 본 연구에서 개발한 유아의 환경인쇄물 읽기능력 검사는 신뢰롭고 타당한 검사임이 증명되었다.
