대학생의 비구조화 집단상담 경험에 대한 질적연구 = A Qualitative Study on University Students' Experiences from Unstructured Group Counseling in Class

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 집단상담에 참여한 대학생들의 자기성장의 경험을 탐색한 질적연구이다. 이를 위해 학부과정에 개설된 의사소통과 집단상담 수업에 참여한 각기 다른 전공의 17명이 매주 제출한 집단상담 후기를 근거이론 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 중심현상은 성장을 위한 변화추구로 드러났다. 숨은 자기 엿보기와 부족함 인지의 인과적 조건과 집단 초기 현상인 주저함, 정서적․신체적 맞닥뜨림, 또래거울의 맥락적 조건이 중심현상인 성장을 위한 변화 추구에 영향을 미쳤고, 집단원에 대한 마음씀과 집단에 대한 관심은 중재적 조건으로, 틀에서 깨어나기 및 성장적 상호작용은 작용/상호작용/정서적 반응으로 나타났다. 결과는 새로운 성찰, 실존적 체험, 행동변화로 드러났고, 연구결과는 개방코딩, 축코딩과 함께 선택코딩을 통한 이야기 윤곽을 포함하였다. 선택코딩에 의한 핵심범주는 ‘쭈뼛거리며 눈치 보는 걸음마에서 시작하여 또래들과의 심리적 연대를 통한 자기성장으로의 도약’으로 도출되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 대학생의 성장과 적응을 돕는 비구조화 집단상담의 시사점과 후속연구 관련 제언을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis, as a qualitative study, aims to investigate self-growth experiences of university students who participated in group counseling. For this purpose, 17 students majoring in different subjects were selected among the participants of communication and group counseling class open to the undergraduate students, and self-introspective reports submitted each week after a group counseling session were analyzed with the grounded theory method. As a result, the central phenomenon of the process turned out to be a ‘pursuit of changes to grow’. Causal conditions were peeking into hidden-self and recognizing shortage, and context conditions were hesitation as an initial phenomenon in a group, emotional and physical collision and peers' mirroring. Moreover, one’s regardfulness towards the members of the group and one’s interest in the group itself turned out to be the intervening conditions and breaking out of a framework as well as interaction for growth appeared to be inter/action/emotional response. The consequences revealed a new reflection, existential experiences and behavioral changes, and the research results included a story outline through open, axial, and selective coding. The core category by selective coding deduced a ‘leap into the self-growth staring from an awkward and unsure beginning through a psychological solidarity with peers’. Based on these results, the implications of the unstructured group counseling which helps with the growth and adaptation of the university students and the related follow-up research proposals have been presented.
