We tracked Fe-Emulsion obtained at the LBL(Lawerence Berkeley Lab) by the along-the track scanning method.
The tracked total length was found to be 1512.58㎝ and the number of events 198 and the mean free path 7.64 + 0.54㎝.
We measured emission angles of 104 events among 198 events.
The average angular distributions of the secondary projectile fragments measured and the charge of fragments Z have been identified by δ-ray counting, gap counting, and grain density measurements. From the measurements of laboratory-system(LS) emission angles of the secondary projectile fragments a target independent differential Frequency formula, dN=exp(a+bcotθ)d(cotθ) is obtained with the constant b=-0.041 at about 2 GeV/u. which seems also to be independent on the kind of projectile fragments. The significance of this approximate formula was discussed in relation mainly to Kaplon's formula.
