다문화 유아교사 연수프로그램에 대한 교사의 요구 = Needs of Young Children Teacher about Muticultural Training Development Program

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and needs of young children' teachers with respect to training programs for multicultural education. For survey, a list of questions, which were based on researches by Lim and A'ole-Boune(2005) and Sun-Hee Jung(1997), was composed. Interviews with 314 teachers who worked at preschool education institutions located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were conducted, and their reponses were frequency analyzed. The results were as following : On the objectives of training programs, lots of answers indicated that multicultural education was supposed to be an opportunity to find differences and similarities among people from diverse backgrounds and form an embracing attitude toward them. On the contents of the programs, teachers revealed their need for information which would be of use in promoting parent-teacher cooperation and multicultural children education. On the methods and evaluation, with the contents of respective programs, different needs about methods, instructors, timetables and evaluation schemes were detected.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 다문화 유아교사 연수프로그램에 대한 교사들의 요구를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 Lim과 A'ole-Boune(2005)의 연구 및 정선희(1997)의 연구를 토대로 구성된 설문지를 바탕으로 서울 및 경기도에 위치한 유아교육기관에 다니고 있는 유아교사 314명을 대상으로 직접 설문을 하였다. 수집된 자료는 빈도분석을 하였다. 연구 결과 프로그램의 목적은 다른 사람들과의 차이점 및 유사점을 발견하고 그들에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 형성하는 것이라는 응답이 높았다. 프로그램의 내용은 교사와 부모와의 협력 및 다문화 자녀 교육에 대한 정보와 관련한 교사들의 요구가 높게 나타났다. 프로그램의 방법 및 평가에서는 프로그램의 내용에 따라 교수방법, 강사, 시간, 그리고 평가에 대한 요구가 다른 것으로 나타났다.
