유아의 기질, 어머니의 기질만족도 및 양육효능감이 유아의 놀이성에 미치는 영향 = Child playfulness: How it is affected by child temperament, mothers’ satisfaction with child temperament, and mothers’ parental efficacy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigates the relationship between child temperament and playfulness and the influence of the parental variables on that relationship. The study was guided by four research questions. What is the relationship between child temperament, mothers’ satisfaction of child temperament, mothers’ parental efficacy and child playfulness? What is the relative influence between child temperament, mothers’ satisfaction of child temperament, mothers’ parental efficacy and child playfulness? What is the predicted path from child temperament to child playfulness? And finally, what are the differences between the major variables? The study collected and analyzed survey data from 225 three-, four-, and five-year-olds and their mothers.
The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a meaningful correlation among most of the variables and sub-variables. Second, child temperament influenced mothers’ satisfaction with child temperament, mothers’ parental efficacy, and child playfulness. Third, child temperament had both direct and indirect effects on child playfulness through mothers’ satisfaction with child temperament and mothers’ parental efficacy. Finally, mothers’ satisfaction with child temperament wielded the greatest influence on child playfulness, followed by child temperament and mothers’ parental efficacy.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아의 기질과 놀이성의 관계를 규명하고, 이들 관계에 영향을 미치는 주요 부모변인을 밝히고자 어머니의 기질만족도 및 양육효능감을 매개변인으로 하여 유아의 기질이 놀이성에 미치는 영향력을 탐색하였다. 만3∼5세 유아와 그들의 어머니 225명(남아 115명, 여아 110명)을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 대부분의 주요변인 및 하위변인 간에 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 유아의 기질은 어머니의 기질만족도 및 양육효능감, 놀이성에 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 유아의 기질은 어머니의 기질만족도 및 양육효능감을 통해 유아의 놀이성에 직․간접적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 직접효과가 간접효과보다 컸다. 또 놀이성에 대한 영향력 순위는 어머니의 기질만족도, 유아의 기질, 어머니의 양육효능감 순이었다. 마지막으로 유아의 놀이성 발달을 위해 유아의 기질에 적합한 지도, 어머니의 기질만족도와 양육효능감을 증진시킬 수 있는 방안에 대하여 논의하였다.
