北學派의 經濟論 : 朴趾源과 朴齊家를 중심으로 = Economic Theory of Bug-Hag School(北學派) : On the thought of Bag Gi-Won(朴趾源) and Bag Je-Ga(朴齊家)

After 18th century, Li Yong ( 利用厚生 ) of Bug-Hag theory scholars appeared.
They tried to solve problem of the contradiction in the society of the late of Yi-Dynasty period, through the economical prosperity on the commercial and industrial development, though we've much studied so far on the Bug-Hag theory.
There was little case of studing the economical theory of Bag Gi-Won and Bag Je-Ga who we thought were the center figures of Bug-Hag theory scholars.
The purpose of this study, therefore, is to understand more clearly the thought of these two figures, relating Bag Gi-Wan's economical side with Ba Je-Ga's on the basis of the academic achievement of the scholars in the past,and through this make the shift to approach more closely the ideological current of Bug-Hag school.
They that economical stagnation of Yi-Dynasty was due to, the rejection on the basis of Hwa-I theory( 華夷論 ) of Cheung's culture(淸文化), the backwardness of appliances and technics and the weakness of economical circulation.
And their views of Cheung's Dynasty attached more importance to the cultural relation than political relation. While Bag Gin tried to introduce Cheung's culture in the harmony of reality and justification, Bag Je-Ga tried to introduce it in the standpoint of reality rather than justification.
They also emphasized that people should take advantage of cars(車) boats(舟)-bricks(벽),and people should improve the agricultural instruments, in order to rise the standard of people's livings,and that in measures for the promotion of the economical circulation, car and boats affected much to that.
So insufficient finance, though. we make up for all the industries of Yi-Dynasty should be compensnated for overseas trades, they said, and the watch for the state of unbalanced trades because of the outflow of silver was l the to the modern economical policy.
While Bag Gi-Won insisted all the indusries to be developed equally but had no perfect thought in developing the commerce as well as the agriculture, Bag Je-Ga indicated the justifcation of thecommerce, saying the want of public welfare would increase without the commerce, and insisted that superfluous aristocracy class should be engaged in the commerce for a means of livings.
Such faced insistence at that time must be daring challenge as well as bold means of revolution. Their economic theory of Hug-flag school, there fore, was transformed the thought of civilization an(i seemed to have a great influence on continuing to formulate a modern thought.
