      The purpose of this study is to present Korean listening and speaking education measures to improve the communication skills of Chinese intermediate Korean learners. In particular, we studied effective educational methods to increase learners' interest and confidence by encouraging them to actively participate in classes by using K-pop music videos that are familiar and interesting to learners.
      Using K-pop-based music videos among Korean music videos is effective as a material for listening and speaking education to learners. K-pop music videos are the same as movies and dramas in which they include both songs and videos, but they are usually shorter than movies nor dramas, so they are suitable for use in classes. K-pop music videos are usually about three to five minutes, and the plot can be easily grasped by learners. Another advantage of teaching Korean listening and speaking through K-pop music videos is that it is a material that can educate not only linguistic characteristics but also non-verbal characteristics.
      As such, K-pop music videos are effective in inducing learners' interest. Using this to provide Korean listening and speaking education, learners can improve their Korean communication skills and understanding of Korean culture. In consideration of this, this study analyzed K-pop music videos from 2020 to 2022 by type to select suitable educational materials and suggested effective teaching and learning measures to use them.
      In Korean listening and speaking education using K-pop music videos, learners are suggested ways to increase concentration, do fun activities, and learn easily, rather than focusing on boring textbooks. Educational methods using K-pop music videos can not only improve learners' listening and speaking skills but also have a good effect on reading and writing. In addition, K-pop music videos can be said to be a good learning material not only for Korean language education but also for Korean culture education. By selecting K-pop music videos suitable for the level of intermediate learners and conducting Korean language classes, it can induce learners' interest while also inducing voluntary learning and efficient learning, allowing learners to participate in classes without burden. Through repeated melodies and lyrics, vocabulary and grammar can be easily remembered, and repeated playback of music videos can be of great help in listening training. Since learners are interested in music videos and singers, they can talk naturally in the classroom and help improve their speaking skills.
