대학생의 내현적 자기애가 사이버 폭력에 미치는 영향 : 분노억제와 전위공격성의 이중매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 내현적 자기애, 분노억제, 전위공격성, 사이버 폭력의 관계를 확인하고, 내현적 자기애가 익명 상황에서의 사이버 폭력으로 이어지는 경로에서 분노억제, 전위공격성의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 10-20대 성인남녀 344명(남 116, 여 228명)을 대상으로 내현적 자기애 척도, 한국판 상태-특성 분노표현척도, 전위공격성 척도, 사이버 폭력 척도, 사회적 바람직성 척도로 구성된 자기보고식 설문을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 기술통계, t 검정, 회귀분석을 실시하였고, PROCESS MACRO를 사용하여 매개효과를 분석하고, 간접효과 유의성 검증을 위해 부트스트래핑을 실시하였다.
분석에 따른 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내현적 자기애, 분노억제, 전위공격성, 사이버 폭력은 모두 유의미한 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 내현적 자기애가 사이버 폭력에 미치는 영향에서 분노억제와 전위공격성이 각각 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 내현적 자기애에서 사이버 폭력으로 가는 경로에서 분노억제와 전위공격성이 순차적으로 매개하는 이중매개효과가 나타났다. 이는 내현적 자기애가 높은 대학생들은 분노 표현을 분노억제의 형태로 역기능적으로 하고, 이로 인해 발생한 전위공격성이 사이버 폭력으로 이어진다는 점을 시사한다. 마지막으로, 논의에서 본 연구가 지니는 의의와 한계점, 후속 연구의 방향성에 대해 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to confirm the relations among college students' covert narcissism, anger suppression, displaced aggression and cyber violence, and thereupon, test the dual mediation effects of anger suppression and displaced aggression in the path from their covert narcissism to the cyber violence in the anonymous situations. For this purpose, 344 college students (males: 116, females: 228) in late 10's and early 20's were sampled to be subject to a self-report questionnaire survey. The questionnaire consisted of a covert narcissism scale, Korean-type state-characteristic anger expression scale, a displaced aggression scale, a cyber violence scale and a social desirability scale. The data collected through the questionnaire survey were processed using the SPSS 18.0 program for the descriptive statistics, T-test and regression analysis. In addition, the Process Macro was used to analyze the mediation effects, while the bootstrapping was conducted to test the significance of the indirect effects.
The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, all following factors showed positively significant correlations: covert narcissism, anger suppression, displaced aggression and cyber violence. Secondly, subjects' anger suppression and displaced aggression had some mediating effects on the relation between covert narcissism and cyber violence. Thirdly, in the path from subjects' covert narcissism to their cyber violence, their anger suppression and displaced aggression had some dual mediating effects sequentially. Such a finding may well suggest that the college students with a high level of covert narcissism tend to suppress their anger and therefore, that their resultant displaced aggression would lead to their cyber violence. Lastly, the significance and limits of this study were discussed together with the direction of the follow-up studies.
